I can't beleive how time has flown by and the holidays are nipping at our heels, already! I just finished up my marathon of Halloween cards, and now it's time to start on Christmas cards! A crafter's work is never done! LOL
Today, we have a fun challenge for you at Shelly's Images. It's what's inside that counts! That's right! We want to see you decorate the inside of your card. We also have a new featured image for you today, too. You can see it on my card, and can find it on sale today only, in the Shelly's Images store.
I have to admit, I'm as guilty as the rest of you. I generally never decorate the inside of a card, so this was a rarity for me. I have to admit though, it was fun, and I just may find myself doing more inside decorating in the future.
Okay, now that we have the challenge info out of the way, let me show you my card, both inside and out. We'll start with The front:
I had a blast making this card, though I admit, it was quite labor intensive with all the details and fussy cutting. It was so worth it though. I love how it turned out. There are so many layers to it!
I found this fun holly paper in my stash and knew it was perfect for this card! The white panel of cardstock on the front is embossed with the Cuttlebug distressed stripes folder. and attached with foam mounting tape for dimension. I used the Holly image, from Shelly's Images, printed it out six times and colored them with Promarkers. Then, I did fussy cutting and cut out each one, arranged them in a circle and attached each one with foam mounting tape, to make a 3D wreath. The red white and green cord is from my stash. The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.
Time to show you the inside of the card, decorated with matching paper:
I'm thrilled with how this turned out. It is so much prettier in person. The pic really does not do it justice. I wish you could see it in person!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
