Look, it's Dino!

Look, it's Dino from the Flintstones cartoon! Okay, well it really isn't, but I colored this image to look like Dino, because he reminded me of him. (I think Dino was a him...wasn't he? I can't remember) This is a new image from Stamping Dragon Designs. As part of Stamping Dragon's DT, I was asked to create a card using this cutie, for a new challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center (CDAC). If you haven't checked out the site, you definitely need to, if you love Digi stamps! It is the place to be for all things Digi! Lots of free digi images and great challenges! While over there, join us at Stamping Dragon's CDAC group, too!

As I mentioned before, this card is for a challenge being hosted by Stamping Dragon Designs, over at CDAC. The challenge is a recipe: 1 border, 2 patterned Papers and 3 embellishments. You can check out the challenge at CDAC, here. Stamping Dragon Designs has this cute Dinosaur there as a freebie for you, too. Stop on over at CDAC and play along. Hopefully you will like us enough to join our CDAC group, too!

For this card, I used cardstock from my stash, and some cute new gingham DP that I got recently in a new tablet I bought from Hobby Lobby. The image, from Stamping Dragon Designs, is colored with Promarkers. (I just love gingham for some reason and have been using it a lot, lately.) The flowers are from Flor-A-Doodle and bought on clearance awhile back, at Meijer. I finished the card by adding faux stitching with a white opaque pen by Inksentials.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Christmas With Rupert Clause

Just like last week, I am still thinking Christmas. Here is yet another Christmas card idea, for my Xmas cards this year. I like to try several different ones, then decide which I like the best. The problem is, I like them all. I might end up having to just make a variety.

This image is a recent new release, from Stamping Dragon Designs, called Rupert Clause. He is colored with Promarkers, and I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to him. You can take Rupert in Santa form (as well as many others) home with you,for your very own, in the store, here.

I used the sketch TM#51 from Tuesday Morning Sketches, and the sketch from Critter Challenge, for the card layout. The papers are all from my stash. I used the branch punch by Martha Stewart, to punch out the Greenery, then used skittles dyed with Cranberry Alcohol ink, as the berries. The skittles and branches give the card a nice 3D card. I love cards with dimension!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Just Popping By

Time to pop by with a new card. This one uses the cute cute cute new Popcorn image, by Stamping Dragon Designs. I had requested Janette make a few images for me, and this is one of them. I absolutely love it and couldn't wait to make a card with it. This image is so versatile and could be used for so many things. You can get your very own digi popcorn stamp, as well as lots of other great images in the store, here. It would be perfect for invitations to a birthday party. I've decided to use it as a Birthday card.

I used the sketch from Card Patterns, for the card layout. I used Spellbinders Shapabilities to cut and emboss the film strip, then used an opaque white pen to add white to the embossed areas of the film strip. The image, from Stamping Dragon Designs, is colored with Promarkers and pop dotted for dimension and 3D effect. Background paper is from my stash. I used skittles for the embellishments. The sentiment is from Stampin Up and was punched with the the oval and scalloped oval punches, from Stampin Up.

This card reminds me of how much I enjoy movie nights out with hubby.

I used sketch TM#40 from Tuesday Morning Sketches , for the card layout, and had planned to enter this card into thier challenge... But then Realized their challenge ended Sunday night, even though new challenges are posted on Tuesdays LOL.

Anyway, this cute image of the girl and butterfly, is from Lauretta's Digital Stamps, and colored with Promarkers. I decided to do this card in purple, because it is my favorite color. All papers and ribbon is from my stash. I used three different ribbons... White with purple flowers, solid purple, and lavender flower shaped ribbon. I used three purple skittles (Hand dyed by me) in the bottom left corner, for embellishing and to add a 3D effect. The spotted purple paper border was made using a MS PATP punch.

She sells Sea Shells By The Seashore

I just love this image and sentiment from Deedee's Digis. It was a freebie for participating in her challenge last week. I love the fact that the image is summery with the seashells and it reminds me of vacation at the beach. With the sentiment, this is the perfect card for a friend.

I made this card for my cousin, Brandie, who lives in North Carolina, and mailed it off to her this morning. We're more than cousins, we're friends, and very close. I think she's going to love the card.

The green card base is textured cardstock that I have had for over a year. It came in a tablet and I realized after I got it, that the textured cardstock isn't good for punching and things, so I use it for card bases, to try and use it up.

I used the sketch from Truly Scrumptious, for the the card layout, and also tried to follow sketch TM #10 at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The DP is all from a new tablet of paper I bought at Hobby Lobby. I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add some glitter and sparkle to the background paper in random places. The ribbon is from my stash. The image is colored with Promarkers.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Fairies From The Dark Side and Challenge #6

It's time for a new challenge over at Stamping With The Dragon. This time, it's all about distressing. Hope on over to the challenge here, for challenge #6, and play along. You could win three digi's of your choice from our sponsor for this round... Lil Diva Stamps. She has some awesome images! You definitely don't want to miss out on your chance to win! While you're there, check out the wonderful photos of inspiration from the rest of our awesome Design Team!

This was my first attempt at distressing.... And Ive decided that I'm not very good at it! LOL I guess it's not bad for a first attempt, and hopefully I'll get better as I go along.

For the background, I used black Coordinations paper and then embossed it with the spots and dots cuttlebug folder, then distressed it with sandpaper so the pink core would show through. I also embossed another piece of the Coordinations with a flower pattered cuttlebug folder, and distressed that, as well. I bought the DP specifically for this card, but then once I started putting the card together, I wasn't sure I liked the paper LOL. I used a pink bow with pearl center as an embellishment.

The image is colored with Promarkers

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Feeling Fruity?

I had sooooo much fun creating this card. Something about this card just screams summer and fun to me! The image is from Miami Doodles and I absolutely love it! TI colored the image with Promarkers with summery colors. Then I colored the image with a clearstar gelly roll pen to add a glittery sparkle. I punched the image out with a scalloped oval punch from Stampin Up!

The green card base is textured cardstock that I have had for over a year. It came in a tablet and I realized after I got it, that the textured cardstock isn't good for punching and things, so I use it for card bases, to try and use it up.

I also used the clearstar gelly roll pen to add some sparkle to the image, butterflies and background paper.

For the card layout, I used the sketch at Cute Card Thursday. This sketch was so much fun to work with. I'm tempted to make a second card using this sketch because I love the layout.

The background papers for the card are from my stash. I just bought the bling yesterday at Michael's, especially to finish this card. I used an opaque white pen from Inksentials, to add the faux stitching. The butterfly paper was punched out with the Stampin Up scalloped oval punch.

Time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. This week, we want to see the colors orange, yellow and blue on your project. ( added a little red in mine, too, on the beach ball). Play along with us and let your imagination run wild. You could win digi's of your choice from Coco Dingo and Lauretta's Digital Stamps. They both have such cute images!

I love this image, by Coco Dingo. I colored this little fella in with Promarkers. For the card layout, I used the sketch at Digital Tuesday. The background papers are all scraps from my stash, as is the ribbon. I cut the beach balls out of patterned paper. The waves are a die cut. The beach balls and waves are all pop dotted them for a 3d effect.

This card is great for summer and makes a great male card.

I think someone kissed this little frog and the only prince they ended up getting is a frog prince! He is adorable, though! This cute little fella is a freebie from Inktegrity. For some reason I've always loved frogs.... Well images of frogs... not real frogs!

For the card layout, I used the sketch TMS#2 at Tuesday Morning. Background papers are all scraps from my stash. The image is colored with promarkers, with sparkle added to the frog's crown with a clearstar gelly roll pen. The butterfly button and round buttons are from my stash.

Christmas In July

It's not too early to be thinking about making your Christmas cards! I've been experimenting with ideas and designs for my Christmas cards this year. I usually have to try a few different ones before I decide which design I want to go with. I like this one because it is cute and simple. It reminds me of the night before christmas.

I used the layout from Pixie Cottage. The background paper is new, from the 50% off paper sale at hobby Lobby. I like this paper because you don't have to use a separate sentiment with it. The image is from Stamping Dragon Designs. If you havent yet, check out their store! They have some of the cutest images you can buy! The ribbon is from my stash, as are the 3 skittles in the top right corner of the image. (I dyed those skittles myself).

All Wrapped up For Christmas

This little snowman looks like he got into a fight with strings of Christmas tree lights and lost. Poor little guy is all wrapped up, for Christmas! The cute snowman image is from Shelly's Images. He's colored with pro markers and a clearstar gelly roll pen for added sparkle. I used a new red xmas background paper that I bought yesterday at Hobby Lobby during their 50% off paper sale. The green polka dotted papers are scraps from my stash. The brads and skittles are all from my stash and give the card a 3D effect. The center skittle is clear and undyed, so this should qualify for any challenges that want a clear embellishment. The card layout is from the sketch at Priscilla's Styles. The background paper says "Merry Christmas, so I used that as my sentiment, instead of cluttering up my card with more text.

When Bears Go Camo

Let's celebrate those wonderful military personnel who serve our country. This cute little bear is a Dustin Pike Image (Doodle Dragon Studios. I wanted to make the bear different, so I printed him onto camo patterned paper and then paper pieced the heart with a white cardstock heart colored with a pastel yellow promarker. The army green star patterned paper was cut out using nestabilities. The textured paper behind the image is some old paper from my stash, that I am trying to get rid of. I've had it since I started card making and I don't like it, so I've kept putting off using it. Card layout was made by using the sketch at Doodle Dragon Studio's challenge blog.

In The Pink With Lexi's Creations!

Whoo Hoo! I'm Guest Designer at Lexi's Creations for their current challenge! I was able to choose the image for my card, and I chose this cutie. Her name is Melissa and she can be found in Lexi's Creations store, here. She's so cute and girly and she's doing one of my favorite things--Shopping! Lexi has so many cute images in her store. Stop by and check out all of her designs... You will love them! I hope you will stop by Lexi's Creations this week and take part in their challenge. Hop on over and share a creation with us and you could win a great prize for playing along!

For the card layout, I used last week's sketch at Catch The Bug. I realized after I created the card, that the sketch challenge would be over by the time I posted my card--Opposie! LOL)

I decided to go with a pink girly color scheme, with touches of yellow and peach These are wonderful summery colors, too! The image was colored with Promarkers. I used four different background papers, all from my stash, The plaid background paper has squares, and I embellished with the little acrylic circles called skittles that I dyed myself with alcohol inks. The skittles provide texture. Hopefully this card qualifies as having squares and circles, for the challenge at Crafty Angels.

I love the image and the sketch I used. This was such a fun card to make. It reminds me of how Carrie Bradshaw loves to shop in the movie Sex & The City 2. (Can you tell I just recently seen that movie?!) Shopping is one of the best things in life and a great way to celebrate anything!

EDIT: I was told that my card doesn't fit one of the challenges that I entered it into.... yet the inspiration photo has pink in it. Hmm Makes no sens to me :)

Summer's Natural Beauty

Time for another card as part of the Stamping Dragon design team! Our cards aren't due till thursday, but I had the idea for this one, and wanted to get it posted for some challenges, so I'm a bit early this week.

The image is from Stamping Dragon Designs, and is colored with Promarkers. This is a new release and I absolutely loved it when I seen it! This image is so angelic and elegant. It reminds me of natural beauty, summer and innocence. You can get this beauty (or any of their other great images at their store, here. (Stamping With The Dragon also has a challenge going on, on their challenge blog. Check it out and play along! You could win some cute digi images of your choice, from our sponsor!)

I decided to go with soft summery colors for this card. The layout is from sketch TMS#5 at Tuesday Morning Sketches. All background papers and ribbon are from my stash. I cut around the image, and cut the matting for the image, using Spellbinders Nestablities. The flowers are by Prima, and I used pearls for the centers. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, by stamping up, and is punched with the SU word window punch, then matted on cardstock punched with the Modern Label Punch by SU.

Little Angel Bear

It's time for another challenge at Stamping With the Dragon. We are sponsored by the wonderful Beary Dust stamps! If you haven't checked out Beary Dust, you really need to! She has soo many cute images!

This time, the challenge is to use a recipe: Use a transparency on your card, and three buttons. (As you can see from my card above, I went a little wild with the buttons and used too many! LOL) These buttons are recycled from an old shirt, when I did my cleaning spree on the closets and throwing out old clothes. I apologize for the quality of the photo. I tried several times to take a better one but they all came out with that shiny glare from the transparency on the front of the card. I hope you'll be able to see the card well enough.

This cute image is Angel Bear, from Beary Dust Stamps. I used the sketch at Crafty Sentiments for the layout of the card. The image was colored with my Promarkers. The bear's wings and halo were glittered to add sparkle. I decided to go with all shades of green for my color scheme. The background paper is striped (hard to see in the pic--Again, I apologize about that). I used a scalloped border punch by Martha Stewart to punch the border on the cardstock behind the image. The sentiment, "Cherish" is from Stampin Up, punched in white with the oval punch from Stampin Up, then matted on a green scalloped oval from Stampin Up! (Reminding us to celebrate life and cherish each day that we live to enjoy) I used transparency as the overlay for the card. The transparency was embossed with the Cuttlebug using the Divine Swirls folder. I finished the card by adding the buttons on top of the overlay, down the left side of the image. My Cuttlebug is one of my favorite things...I love all the cool things you can do with it.

Now, it's your turn to play along with us in this challenge! Let your imagination run wild and let's see your creative ways to use transparency on a project. Then, take a pic of it and upload it to the challenge post, here, at Stamping With The Dragon. You may use stamps from any company on your card, so there are no image restrictions. You have till July 15th to play with us. Make sure you do! You don't want to miss the great prize of Digi images of your choice, from Beary Dust Stamps.

Red White & Blue For You

Another Red White & Blue card... this time using an image from Dustin Pike (Doodle Dragon Studios).

I used the sketch from Pollycraft. The background papers are all from my stash. There are 7 stars on this card...One yellow (on the flag) and 6 blue. Four of the blue are glittery brads. The two stars on the textured ribbon are punched using a punch from Creative Memories. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set by Stampin Up and is punched using the word window punch by Stampin UP! The sentiment background is punched using the Modern Label punch by Stampin Up.

Since I dont have a donkey image to use for the card...I'm sending this card to Michelle Oatman, who was in an accident recently and lost use of her right eye. You can read all about her on her blog: Stamps, Paper, Scissors and Donkey Smiles.

A Stitch In Time

Today is new challenge day at Craft Your Passion, and today's challenge is to create something with stitching on it... Either real or faux. Hop on over to Craft Your Passion and play along with us, this week. You could win digi images of your choice from both Coco Dingo and Lauretta's Digital Stamps.

Here is my card for the Craft Your Passion Design team, to give you a little inspiration. The image is called Panier Provencal and is from Coco Dingo. It reminds me of how my mom used to love to plant lots of flowers around the house every spring. I colored the image with Promarkers. (I love these things!) The background paper is from my stash. Flowers by Prima. I used a white opaque pen by Inksentials to add the faux stitching to the edges. The sentiment was punched using a punch from EK Success, and the sentiment is from Studio G.
