Here is my DT card for this week's sketch challenge.

The sketch was so much fun to work with, and I love this image! My card also fits the sketches at The Pixie Cottage, Sparkle Dreams, Fairy Moon Crafts, and Truly Scrumptious. I used this fun new snowman image from CocoDingo. The image is colored with Promarkers. All three papers are from my stash. The ornament paper behind the snowman is glittered and embossed, for sparkle and texture. I also used a clearstar gelly roll pen on the snow and snowman, to give extra sparkle. This gorgeous new metallic gold ribbon trim is from the craft department at Walmart. I've printed and cut out this fantastic digi Christmas ticket by Miss Cutie Pie, punched a hole in it with my Big Bite and mounted it to the card with foam mounting tape, for dimension. The scalloped circle is punched using a 3" punch from EK Success. This card is for my favorite aunt, Judy, for Christmas.

CAR-AZY about You!

It's sketch time for our new challenge at Craft Your Passion. I love sketches for creating my card layouts. It encourages me to think outside of my box. We have a fun sketch this week, so get busy creating and play along with us. You could win images of your choice from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and CocoDingo.

For my card, I am using an image by CocoDingo and decided to go with a male card. THe song, "Cars" by Gary Numan is my song inspiration. I always have trouble creating a card for a guy, but I feel like I am slowly getting better at it. I created this card for my hubby and used a blue and brown combo. I really like how it turned out. The image is colored with my Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. This is my first time using the blue striped paper--I think it is perfect for a make card.
The scalloped circle is punched using a punch by EK Success.

Here is my DT submission for this week's sketch challenge. I used the new Santa image from Lauretta's Digital Stamps. I used the sketch at Craft Your Passion. Santa is colored with Promarkers.

I love this combination of the three different patterned papers. All of which are from my stash. I used a scalloped border punch from Fiskars, for the border. They are very simple to make, and they look so awesome! so, what are you waiting for?!! I used the sketch at sketches, for the front of the easel card. The image is by CocoDingo and is colored with Promarkers. I chose earthy tones for the card because I felt like it went well with the image. Who says earth tones can't be girly?!

The papers are all from my stash. I recycled the 3 buttons off an old shirt I threw out. (Gotta love recycling!) The flower is by Prima. I pop dotted the sentiment with foam mounting tape for dimension.

Musical Elegance with Craft Your Passion

It is challenge day over at Passion. This week, the recipe is to use lace and at least one flower on your project. It doesn't have to be a card, it can be any type of craft project. Play along with us, for your chance to win an image of your choice from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and CocoDingo. They have some cute images to choose from!

I decided to go with black and white + one other color, for my color combo. I love this color combo and it is perfect for this image. I'm using the Piano image from Lauretta. I colored the piano with a black Promarker and then added highlights using a white Prismacolor colored pencil. This is my first time at coloring an all black image, so I was very nervous about it, at first. While its not perfect, it came out better than I thought, and I'm pleased with the overall effect. My card layout is based on the sketch from Paper Pretties, 2 Sketches 4 You,and from the sketch at Kgiron. The striped DP is from my stash, and I used one piece of it flipped the opposite direction, for some added contrast. The red flowers are a recent purchase and its my first time using them. (I love them!) The flowers are by recollections and give the card 3D dimension. This ribbon is new also. I found it at Michael's and it struck my fancy. I had no idea when I bought it, what I would use it for... But then when I seen this piano image, I new this ribbon would go perfectly. (I love the silver blingy gems on this ribbon, and the sparkle!) I purchased the lace from Joanne's specifically for this project.

For my card, I chose an image from Lauretta's Digital Stamps. I love this fairy. She looks like she is blowing kisses. I went with a blue color theme this time, with a sprinkle of other colors, here and there. I used the sketch at 2 sisters. The cardstock and DP are scraps from my stash. I colored the image with Promarkers. The DP and the ribbon are all from my stash. My flowers were made by punching blue cardstock with the 5 petal flower punch from Stampin up, then I folded the flowers in half and added foam mounting tape under the fold, to make them stand out, before attaching them to my card. I used a white opaque pen by Inksentials to add the lines and centers to the flowers. (I know I know.. I could have done a better job. The lighting wasn't very bright and i miseed some spots, not to mention got a little crooked. I wasn't drinking, I swear! LOL

For this card, I used paper and cardstock from my Stash. The image is called Cactus and is from CocoDingo . I colored it with those oh so wonderful Promarkers. I used an ornately printed piece of acetate as a "shelf" for the cacti to sit on. (I just bought this wonderful assorted pack of acetate on clearance at Michael's and it is so much fun to work with). Play along with us and let your imagination run wild. You could win digi's of your choice from Coco Dingo and Lauretta's Digital Stamps. They both have such cute images!

I love this image, by Coco Dingo. I colored this little fella in with Promarkers. For the card layout, I used the sketch at Digital Tuesday. The background papers are all scraps from my stash, as is the ribbon. I cut the beach balls out of patterned paper. The waves are a die cut.
