If you're like me, you are thinking of a nice warm place to get away! Well, let us help you with that - We have the perfect challenge for you this fortnight! While you're here, I'd love for you to stick around just a little longer, while I tell you about my card. My card uses the image set, Under The Sea Set, from Digital Delights by Looby Lou. I used the background provided with the set, then fussy cut around the mermaid, octopus and little fishy, and used foam mounting tape to add them to the background.  All images have been colored with Promarkers. There's lots of dimension going on here, to create this 3D underwater scene! I only used one scrap of designer paper on this card - A really tough task for me, trust me, as I do love my patterned papers! I used a piece of fuzzy lime green scalloped trim across the bottom of the card.

My last days of summer card uses the image Mermaid, By Kenny K, colored with Promarkers. I went with a blue and purple color combo for this card, with a fun mix of patterns. All papers are from my stash. I used chevron patterned buttons to embellish.

Showing Off Summer

Welcome to our new challenge, at Hobbycutz. This fortnight's theme is your favorite and mine - Anything Goes! Whoo Hoo! You have two weeks to play along and there's great prizes up for grabs! We are so excited to see all your creations, so come play along with us!

I went with a summer themed card in bright, summery colors. My card uses the image, Ashley 3, from The East Wind, colored With Promarkers. I used a pair of flip flop buttons in the bottom right corner. In the top corner, I used a wooden flower diecut from Hobbycutz, then quilled vines to go on each side.  I added a shiny crystalized gemstone pearl to the center of the flower. The sunglasses on the image have been given that "Glass" look, with a clear Glaze pen.

I went with orange and yellow to celebrate the bright colors of summer.. I've added ribbon and a handmade ribbon bow. The card is finished off with different colors of metal brads. Wow, Can You Believe It?!

Whoo Hoo! Can you beleive it?!  I made the design team at Open Minded Crafting! Yay, Me! My awesome friend, Erin, from Erin's Owl Nest, encouraged me to apply - I never thought I would make it, but here I am! So awesome to be on a design team with Erin and all the rest of these awesome ladies! Now, let me tell you about how I chose to beat the summer heat with this fun, watery theme. My card uses the Image Hootie - Rain Rain Go Away, from Crafty Sentiments, colored with Promarkers. Isn't Hootie just the cutest owl you've ever seen?! All papers used are from my stash. I went with a mix of fun patterns in summery colors. I've used a clear glaze pen on the raindrops and rain puddle to give the effect of water.

Retirement Means Relaxation and Fun In The Sun

Wow, can you believe it is Thursday, again, already?! The week sure does fly by! Be sure you come visit the design team for Bugaboo Stamps, over at Catch The Bug, so you can see all the awesome Oldie But Goodie creations they've created for you!

If you live in the USA and are like me, then you probably are already sick of the snow and cold temperatures! My boss sure had the right idea - She decided to retire and move to Florida for sun, sand, warm temps and relaxation! I sure wish I could do the same! LOL.  Anyway, this card is for her retirement.

The card features the image, Dottie Beach, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers (by Letraset). I used papers from Recollections, from my stash and a fun mix of chevron, hearts, stripes and polka dots. I used two strips of purple and lavender chevron washi tape, matted with cardstock (From the Paper Studio) and a handmade bow made with this new purple sheer polka dotted ribbon.

Whoo Hoo! My First Official DT Project For Squiggle Stamps!

Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog! I'm so excited, today, because I'm showing you my first card as part of the design team for Squiggle Stamps! Whoo Hoo! Get Froggy At The Beach

Hi everyone! Here we are with Oldie but Goodie Thursday, at  Catch The Bug! Don't you love it when we take the older images from Bugaboo Stamps and bring them back into the spotlight?! I do! Today is another of those days!  Head over to Catch The Bug to see all the wonderful Oldie But Goodie creations the team has to show you, today!

My card, today, uses the image, Beach Frog - Beach Toys, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with a mix of bright summery colors, for my summer themed card.  I used a fun flip flop patterned paper and some polka dots, from my stash. The pink flip flop is a button that I've used for embellishing.  I used a pink bow with pearl center, from my stash, and some pink gemstones.  What a fun girlie summery card with the pearl and all that bling! Rainy Summer Days

Hello, Hello!  Welcome to another Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps! There's a lil cutie up for grabs for you, this week.  It's Abby Umbrella! Be sure you pick her up before she's gone, so you can do something creative with her! I made this cute summery card featuring our Freebie Friday, Abby Umbrella, from Bugaboo Stamps. She's colored with Promarkers.  I used this fun mix of patterned papers with a combination of polka dots, chevron stripes and summer prints.  I used a small piece of the summer print paper and punched it with an oval and scalloped oval punches.  The raindrops were punched with a raindrop punch by Marvy.  For my card layout, I've used the sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy.

Just Swimming By To Say Hi!

Whoo Hoo! I'm so excited! I've been invited to be a Guest Designer at Paper make Up Stamps!  This week is my guest designer week! Yay!  I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful team for this challenge, and had so much fun! The theme is a fun one, too!  The theme this week is "Summer," so it was a fun and easy theme! So fitting, too, for this hot weather we've been having!  I sure hope you will play along with us, this week, in our summer themed challenge, at Paper Make Up Stamps.

For my project this week, I used the image and sentiment, Suzie, from Paper Make Up Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used this fun water wave paper, paired with this summer themed paper, both from my stash. The pretty blue pleated ribbon is by Stampin Up.  I used blue rain spots for embellishing.  I wanted Suzie to look like she is under water, so I tried a new technique after coloring her.  I sponged over the entire image with blue ink, to mute the colors and make the image have a bluish tone, to hopefully make it appear she's under water.  I like how it turned out.  What do you think? Does she look like she's under water?

Happy Birthday, Soccer Girl!

Hello! Welcome to my post for Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps! How about something sporty to make you feel like summer is in full swing?! This week, we have this cute AKV Soccer girl image for you, as your freebie!  You can check out more creations using this cutie at Catch The Bug, so hurry on over to check them out! My project, today, uses this week's Friday Freebie, AKV Soccer girl, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with promarkers.  I found this fun soccer paper at Michael's and paired it with some black and white stripes and some fun polka dots.  Very striking combination, isn't it?! I used three metal soccer ball brads for embellishing. My layout uses the Sketch at Card Positioning Systems, though I did add a few more panels of paper to it. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Surf's up! Wish You Were Here

Happy saturday, everyone!  hope you enjoyed all of our Christmas in July festivities at Catch The Bug! Now we're back to our regular challenge schedule, with today's challenge.  This time, we have a sketch challenge for you! Perfect for helping you come up with ideas for new card layouts.  Remember, we have our usual digi prize packages up for grabs from Bugaboo Stamps, so hurry over to Catch The Bug, check out the sketch and play along!

My card today uses the image summer duck - suntan, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used the sketch, of course, from this week's sketch challenge at Catch The Bug. I've used this gorgeous pleated Stampin Up ribbon, from my stash.  The flip flops are stickers from my stash, matted with card stock and attached with foam mounting tape for dimension.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.  I love how this card just screams summer!

My apologies for the glare on the flip flops in the pic.  The sheen from the stickers played tricks with the camera.
