It's another Oldie but Goodie Thursday at Catch The Bug! The design team has really outdone themselves with today's creations! They really know how to showcase the Bugaboo Stamps images! My card today uses the image, Birthday Strip, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I love this image, because it's just so fun! Of course, with such a fun image, I had to choose some fun papers! I went crazy with polka dots! I just love this color combo together, too!  Along with a fun image and fun papers, I just had to make a fun card layout, too!   Oh, oh, and what fun card would be complete without bling?  It may be hard to see, in the pic, unless you enlarge it, but I snuck in some fun pink gems in the bottom left and top left corners of the black polka dot panel.

Bugaboo Birthday Bash

Good Morning Bloggers and Crafters! Today is the start of Bugaboo's Birthday bash at Catch The Bug! Arent you excited?! I know you are - and so am I - But, guess what, there's even more fun to add to it - Because this year, Birthday bash has a theme! Whoo Hoo! Our theme for this year's Birthday Bash is "Under the Sea!" Such an awesome theme! There are prizes to be won, too - LOTS of prizes, if you play along in our daily challenges! Every day this week, there is a different birthday challenge.  Be sure you come and play along with us, for your chances to win!

Today is the first day of our Under The Sea Birthday Bash and we are starting it off with an easy one - Any birthday card, with an Under The Sea theme.

My card, for the Under The Sea Birthday Bash kickoff, is a fun one.  I used a retired mermaid image from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  For my card layout, I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I decided to dig through my stash and found the perfect fishy paper for the Under The Sea theme, don't you think?! I paired the paper from my stash with this new polka dot paper, to create a fun pattern combination. The little pennants were hand cut (I'm getting better at that, I think! LOL!) The sentiment is computer generated. Someone very near and dear to me is battling Colon cancer with metastasis. The awareness ribbon for Colon Cancer is Navy, so I've used lots of Navy in this card, for my friend's birthday, to remind my friend that there is so much left to fight for.

All Tied Up On Your Birthday

I'm back, from vacation! Did you all miss my postings?! LOL!  Well, maybe you didn't, but I'm back, anyway! This time, I have a birthday card to show you.  This one is a bit on the sexy smexy side. I made this card for my  friend in Florida, who always appreciates my cards.  So, of course, I had to make a special card just for him.

For this card, I used the image, 50 Shades of Smexy, from The Stamping Chef, colored with Promarkers. I just love Tamara's images - She is so talented.  This image reminds me of the book, Fifty Shades of Grey, and seemed perfect for a male birthday card!  This also was my first attempt at doing a criss cross pocket card. I think it turned out pretty good for my first try!  I loved doing the fancy fold that made the  criss cross pocket! I used a mix of black and white patterned papers from my stash, with black tulle stretched across the front packet and tied in a not at the center. The center insert is my take on the sketches at Inky Impressions and Crafty Creations Challenge, but I have my lace across the bottom and side, rather than the top and side, like at Inky Impressions. (I used sexy  black lace) I used purple gemstones to add some bling, sparkle and shine. The sentiment is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches. I used black scalloped edge ribbon through a punched hole at the top of the insert, to make a ribbon loop for pulling the card insert out of the pocket. (Sorry you cant see the ribbon well, but I had a hard time getting a close up pic of the entire card, so most of the ribbon is cut off in the pic).

I went with orange and yellow to celebrate the bright colors of summer.. I've added ribbon and a handmade ribbon bow. The card is finished off with different colors of metal brads. I also used some flower shaped buttons.

For this round, I've made a spring card.  Don's you just love this fold! My card uses the image, AKV Boy - Celebrate, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored With Promarkers. I used a large flower with a gemstone center, to embellish. More gemstones were used to the right side of the image. I finished off with a pink handmade bow. The sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

My card uses this week's Freebie Friday image, Cupcake - Sprinkles, from Bugaboo Stamps. colored with Promarkers. This image is perfect for birthday cards! I went with shades of blue and tried to make a more masculine birthday car for a child. I used liquid pearls to embellish, as well as a monster shaped buttons at the top, above the image. Isn't this a fun card?!

Don't you just love it when you can create a card entirely from scraps?! I used tiny blue gemstones to embellish the card, as well as the addition of a gold metal music note charm. The sentiment is Hand Stamped and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. The image and sentiments are both mounted with foam mounting tape for added dimension.

A Sassy Glittery Birthday

I just love these two colors together, don't you?! I used only scraps of patterned papers from my stash. Alongside each side of the center panel, I used pale pink ribbon with gold thread running through it, as well as a handmade bow in the bottom left corner of the image, using the same pretty ribbon. I used some textured gemstones from Hobby Lobby, in sets of 3, at the top, left and right of the image. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches.

My card uses the image Lil Clown 4, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. Of course, I followed the color scheme in this week's color challenge. This card is perfect for a little boy's birthday. I used all scraps to create this card and think I did a pretty darn good job if I do say so, myself! LOL! The centers of the small squares are punches with the postage stamp punch from EK Success. I used some blue buttons, recycled from an old shirt that had been thrown away, and placed those in the center of the small squares. I used googly eyes on the clown. Isn't he cute?!

I made a girly girl Birthday card, this time.  My card uses the image Girl Teddy Hug, from Bugaboo Stamps,
colored with Promarkers. Pink trim has been added below the image, across the bottom. I've used black and clear gemstones on the trim.  Gemstones have also been used as the flower centers.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

I have a birthday card to show you, today, done in fun colors, with lots of added girlyness!  All papers are from my stash. I used the newly released image, Ladybug Daisy Vase, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used some fun ribbon trim across the center of the card, then emebellished with some pearl flowers. I mixed in some pink pearls, too, for extra color. The sentiments it by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with an oval punch.

I have another Birthday card to show you today.  This one uses the image, Dottie Cupcake, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash.  I got these new charms, from Oriental Trading, and just had to try using one on my card.  I think it turned out cute! I used three tiny blue pearls in the bottom right corner of the image, and three dark pink pearls on the left side of the card.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches. I used dark pink ruffled ribbon from Stampin Up to make this fun triple bow. Isn't it the perfect touch?!

Bake Me a Tower of Cupcakes For My Birthday

I have a birthday card to show you, today, using this week's Freebie Friday image, Cupcake Tower, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. My card layout uses the sketch at Sunday Sketch and Stamp. This is one of my favorite sketches because it includes a banner and I love them but don;t think to use them as often as I would like. I made a fun banner to hang across the top left corner, using washi tape and twine. I think it makes a great touch! The rest of the card has been embellished with tiny blue pearls that I just got from Santa at Christmas. I even put a pearl in the center of the O in the word YOU of the sentiment! Cute, right?! All papers are from my stash.

This card turned out to be perfect for a guy, too! Cant believe I managed to make another male card, again, already!

Hello Kitty, It's Your Birthday

Today is Oldie But Goodie Thursday and the Birthday Week celebration continues at Catch The Bug. My card uses the image Kidz - Girl Balloon, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used this fun Hello Kitty paper, from my stash, because a lot of little girls love Hello Kitty. (Oh, and lots of big girls do, too! lol) My sentiment is by Sentiments 4 you and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches, then I embellished the card with two yellow glittered flowers.

Another Year Has Come To Pass....

It's Humor Me Wednesday and we are continuing our birthday week celebration, in honor of Bugaboo Stamps 4th birthday! I created a masculine birthday card for you, today, and of course, it's funny! Gotta have that humor for some of those birthdays, don't we? My card uses the image, Frame It - Gus - Another Year Has Come To Pass, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with some fun animal print papers, from my stash. The image has had glitter added to the balloons and to Gus's glasses. The pearls, which are a funky, unusual color, are new items to me and just seem to match the card perfectly!
