Well, For Fox Sake!

Good Morning, Bloggers and Happy Valentine's Day!  It's new release day at Catch The Bug and we some awesome new release images in the store, today, in the Bugaboo Stamps store! We also have some awesome crafty creations for your viewing pleasure, on the Catch The Bug blog! Come on over and check out the new release creations from the super duper design team!

Can you believe that I farted around (Ooops, yes, I said farted!) and didnt get Valentines mailed out, in time?! Shame on me, I know!  I have a male friend to whom I ALWAYS send cards on holidays and special occasions - Unfortunately, I missed the boat for Valentine's day this year, so I've made my friend this card, as a belated Valentine's card. I've used this cutie new release image, Bugforfoxsake, from Bugaboo Stamps, The outside sentiment says "For Fox Sake." The inside sentiment, which you cant see, because, oops again, I forgot to take a pic of the inside of the card, before I mailed it yesterday) says "I'm late for Valentine's Day." I've used all papers from my stash, for creating this card.  It's a masculine card, so I've used masculine colors and papers, with no embellishments. My card layout uses the sketch at Sketch Saturday

Happy Saturday, everyone! It's time for a new challenge, today, at Catch The Bug! This week's challenge is Bingo! One of our favorites, and, hopefully one of yours!  As always, there are are prizes up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps, so hurry over to Catch The Bug and link up your bingo creation with us, for your chance to win!

Today, I have a very special card to show you.  This card was made for someone who means the world to me, and is going through something very stressful right now.  Please say a prayer that things will turn out in a positive way. He really needs prayers and positive vibes.

My masculine card uses the image, Puppy Pile, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  All papers used to create this card are from my stash. The paper with the anchors is symbolic of his courage, so it was perfect for this card.  Polka Dots and puppies were used, to lighten up the mood and hopefully bring a smile.  (Who doesn't smile over puppies and polka dots?!) The card layout uses the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I've used denim fabric tags as little banners, for my hand written sentiments. Tiny wooden buttons were used to embellish the top left corner of the card, as well as below the image.

Get Eggcited For Easter

Good Morning! Can you beleive I have FINALLY found the time to do a non-DT project! My first one, in awhile!  I decided to make an Easter card for a great friend, who always appreciates a handmade card.  Do you think this card is masculine enough?!

I did the entire card with Copic Markers - A rarity for me! I have several that I have been collecting  (more like hoarding!) over the last year, but I rarely use them and I'm, quite honestly, afraid of them! LOL! I'm so used to using the Promarkers and I find the Copics quite intimidating. A friend showed me how to do skin with Copics last summer, but I must admit - I havent tried it since then - An you can certainly tell I havent had any practice in ages.  Guess I'm going to have to go see her, again, this summer, and do more coloring so I can finally master it - Or at least semi-master it, once and for all! Being This is only a second attempt and this first attempt was months ago, I suppose this isn't too bad.

Oh, and what I am even more afraid of than skin, is doing hair with Copcis! Hair is so out of my comfort zone that is scares me to death! I thought, well, since skin and especially hair, are both way out of my comfort zone, this is the perfect time to do a project for the "Out Of Your Comfort Zone" challenge in the Simply Betty Stamps Fans Facebook Group! So, I  certainly plan to enter this card in that challenge! Oh sure, I know I have a snowball chance in you know where of winning - But it's worth a shot and it's fun to come out of your comfort zone now and then, isn't it?!

My card uses the image and sentiment set, Excited Corrine, from Simply Betty Stamps. For my card layout, I used the sketch at Friday Sketch Challenge.  All papers are from my stash. I used pieces of the patterned paper, to do the parts that overlap onto the sides of the image.

All Tied Up On Your Birthday

I'm back, from vacation! Did you all miss my postings?! LOL!  Well, maybe you didn't, but I'm back, anyway! This time, I have a birthday card to show you.  This one is a bit on the sexy smexy side. I made this card for my  friend in Florida, who always appreciates my cards.  So, of course, I had to make a special card just for him.

For this card, I used the image, 50 Shades of Smexy, from The Stamping Chef, colored with Promarkers. I just love Tamara's images - She is so talented.  This image reminds me of the book, Fifty Shades of Grey, and seemed perfect for a male birthday card!  This also was my first attempt at doing a criss cross pocket card. I think it turned out pretty good for my first try!  I loved doing the fancy fold that made the  criss cross pocket! I used a mix of black and white patterned papers from my stash, with black tulle stretched across the front packet and tied in a not at the center. The center insert is my take on the sketches at Inky Impressions and Crafty Creations Challenge, but I have my lace across the bottom and side, rather than the top and side, like at Inky Impressions. (I used sexy  black lace) I used purple gemstones to add some bling, sparkle and shine. The sentiment is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches. I used black scalloped edge ribbon through a punched hole at the top of the insert, to make a ribbon loop for pulling the card insert out of the pocket. (Sorry you cant see the ribbon well, but I had a hard time getting a close up pic of the entire card, so most of the ribbon is cut off in the pic).

Here I am, today, with Gus, to show off my Oldie But Goodie Creations for Bugaboo Stamps. Today. I have created a birthday card for you, spotlighting the oldie but goodie image, Gus Fishing, from Bugaboo Stamps.  The image is colored with promarkers. I've used blue gemstones and blue ribbon to embellish. The sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Keep your Balls Clean....

Are you ready for this week's challenge? This time, we have a Recipe Challenge for you, at Catch The Bug! We want to see your crafty creations using the Recipe: kraft, embossing, pop of color. I went masculine today.  My card uses the image, Frame It - Gus - Golf, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used chalks to enhance the embossed woodgrain panels. The green panel is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I used brown and white baker's twine, threaded through a recycled button, to finish off the card.

Don't you just love it when you can create a card entirely from scraps?! I used tiny blue gemstones to embellish the card, as well as the addition of a gold metal music note charm. The sentiment is Hand Stamped and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. The image and sentiments are both mounted with foam mounting tape for added dimension.

I have another thank you card to show you, today.  This one is made in masculine colors, to make it appropriate for a guy.  The card uses the image, AKV Boy - Flower Pot, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  All papers are from my stash. I used buttons, recycled, from an old shirt, and used twine around them, to frame the center of the card. The twine is tied in a handmade bow.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Today, I'm here to remind you that its Stella Says Sketch Sunday! That's right! We have a new sketch for you to play along with, starting today! I have a masculine sympathy card for you, today, done in male colors. My card uses the image Flower Jar, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash and were hand cut into banners. The card has been embellished with matching blue pearls.  The sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Have a Happy Halloween, Big Boy!

Can you believe how fast Halloween is approaching?! Wow! It'll be here before you know it! In honor of Halloween, I have a fun, sexy Halloween card to show you. How's that, for a masculine card?! Perfect for that special guy in your life.  This card is for a friend, for Halloween.  I'm sure he's going to love it!

For my card, I've used the image, Bite Me, by The Stamping Chef, colored with Promarkers. My card layout uses the sketch at Feeling Sketchy. This black, white and gray chevron paper is the perfect background. I've used a scrap of black fabric tulle that has a fun purple foil spiderweb pattern on it. I've used two thin strips of green and black bat patterned paper on each side of the tulle, to highlight the tulle.  A clear star gelly roll pen was used to highlight the web on the image and add sparkle. Three spider buttons in purple and black add the finishing touch. All papers are scraps from my stash, as is the piece of tulle.

Happy Birthday, Ewe!

Happy World Card Making Day, bloggers! Are you celebrating my crafting your booties off today?! I've been crafting all week, in honor of it, and got myself a head start! LOL

Today, we have a new challenge at Catch The Bug - This is everyone's favorite, and perfect for World Card Making Day! Our challenge them is Anything Goes! *Applause* I know, I know - Everyone loves it. So do I!  Of course, as usual, there are great prizes up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps, so come over to Catch The Bug and link up with us in our Anything Goes challenge, in honor of World Card Making Day!  You are welcome to link up any project - It doesn't have to be a card - So get crafting!

In honor of World Card Making Day, I've created a fancy Fold Card.  This is yet another version of pop up card.  You can see, in the first pic, that the card has a pull tab, which pops up the image.  Check out the second pic, with the image popped up after the tab is pulled.  So cool, isn't it?! I have to say, I absolutely LOVE the fold on this card.  I went with masculine colors because I made this for a male friend's birthday (He thought it was awesome, by the way!)  I used chevron printed washi tape, purple square gemstones and round purple gemstones. My card uses uses the image Make It Snappy - Birthday Ewe, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The sentiment is handwritten with a white opaque pen by Signo.

Happy Holidays, Big Boy!

Wow, can you believe it?! I'm back, again, this morning, with another card for you! This time, a Christmas card using this super sexy and oh so fun image, Bow (Adult) by  KennyK ! Perfect for the guy in your life!

I went with Winter colors. All papers are from my stash. The purple and blue looks great, together, don't you think?! I used purple gemstones to embellish, as well as blue glittered ribbon and a shiny snowflake! I think this card is just right for entering into the current KennyK challenge, Merry And Bright! My sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Over The Hill Birthday

Good Morning! Did you all know it's Oldie But Goodie Thursday at Catch The Bug?! We love Oldie But Goodie Thursdays, since it's a chance to show off the older images that Bugaboo Stamps has to offer and remind us all, again, how cute they are! You can check out all the Oldie But Goodie creations from the talented design team at Catch The Bug! Go see all the  creative genius at work!

Today I have a new card to show you.  We all know masculine cards can be tough to make, so I'm always happy when I come up with one that seems to come together fairly quickly. This one just seemed to come to me, easily and I'm really happy with it! Perfect for a male birthday!

My card uses the image and sentiment set, Gus Birthday - Over The Hill, from Bugaboo stamps, colored with Promarkers, (available in the Simon Says Stamp, store!). I used three different gambling theme papers that were all scraps from my stash. The left upper and left lower corners of the card are decorated with a strip of black and white polka dot washi tape. I used three buttons (2 blue and 1 red) threaded with baker's twine to embellish two corners of the image and bring out the colors in the image. Gus has had wiggly eyes added to him, to give that extra touch of whimsy! For my card layout, I've used the sketch at Sketch N Stash.

I'm Collecting Wrinkles

Well, well, here we are, again, for another Oldie But Goodie Thursday at Catch The Bug. It's so much fun to take the older images from Bugaboo Stamps and bring them back up into the spotlight, to spark your creativity and grab your attention. Sometimes you forget how much you love an image, until you see it, again! The DT has done a wonderful job today, with showing off some of Bugaboo Stamps' oldies but goodies! Today's project for your viewing pleasure is a masculine card - I went with a birthday theme this time. Seems like a lot of the fellas I know have birthdays in the summer! My card uses the image and sentiment set, Gus Birthday - Collecting Wrinkles, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The card is done in black, green and blue. I used three different patterns of black printed washi tape, vertically, down the enter panel. Googly eyes were added to Gus to make him look extra cute! I've used three buttons, threaded with Baker's Twine,  in the bottom left corner of the image, as well as four green pearls to embellish each corner. My card layout uses the Sketch at Alota Rubber Stamps.
