My card uses the image, Vampyre Witch, from Scrapper's Delights, colored with a mix of Promarkers and Copics - But mostly Promarkers. I wish you coud see the shading real well in the pic, because I am pretty darn proud of it, being its my first decent attempt at shading with Copics. Unfortunately. it doesn't show well in the pic because of the lighting and color choice.  but, trust me! I did well for a first real attempt LOL!  All papers used are from my stash. I have embellisehd the card with handmade pearls.  Oh, Oh.... I have a fun tip for you on making your own pearls.  You can make pearls in lots of colors, very inexpensively, buy buying plastic pony beads in bulk and melting them down in your oven.  I made these black pearls/enamel dots myself, by melting down black pony beads in the over at 250 degrees for about 10-12 minutes. Make sure you line your baking sheet with waxed paper and let the pearls cool for a few minutes before handling. Then they will slide right off the wax paper. Be careful when melting and monitor your pearls as different ones seem to melt at different rates of time.


This card if for my best male friend, for Halloween, who always appreciates my cards.  Hope he loves it!

Flying By For Halloween

Happy Saturday!

Welcome to a new challenge, today, at Catch The Bug. This week, its time for a Bingo Challenge! Whoo Hoo! I know a lot of you love these bingo challenges - So do I! Aren't they fun?! There are always so many fun combinations of things to include on our projects! What a way to get creative!

We'd love to have you come play along with us, this week, in our Bingo challenge! There are lots of prize packages up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps - So come play with us, at Catch The Bug!

My bingo for this card, is use a Punch, the color Orange and the color black. Of course, that means I just had to do a Halloween card, with that color combo! I used the image JJ - Broom Stick, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The  top right corner has a die cut spider web, with a punched spider web added with foam mounting tape for 3D effect.. I've used three animal print gemstones in the top left corner, for some added sparkle. The center has a cute jack o' lantern metal brad. I used some funky green and black skull ribbon across the bottom and some candy corn washi tape along the bottom right corner.

Have a Happy Halloween, Big Boy!

Can you believe how fast Halloween is approaching?! Wow! It'll be here before you know it! In honor of Halloween, I have a fun, sexy Halloween card to show you. How's that, for a masculine card?! Perfect for that special guy in your life.  This card is for a friend, for Halloween.  I'm sure he's going to love it!

For my card, I've used the image, Bite Me, by The Stamping Chef, colored with Promarkers. My card layout uses the sketch at Feeling Sketchy. This black, white and gray chevron paper is the perfect background. I've used a scrap of black fabric tulle that has a fun purple foil spiderweb pattern on it. I've used two thin strips of green and black bat patterned paper on each side of the tulle, to highlight the tulle.  A clear star gelly roll pen was used to highlight the web on the image and add sparkle. Three spider buttons in purple and black add the finishing touch. All papers are scraps from my stash, as is the piece of tulle.

I have another Halloween card for you, today. I've used the image, Bobblehead Hween Mummy from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. Of course, my card layout uses the current sketch from our Stella Says Sketch Challenge. I used a metal Halloween brad on the left side of the image.  All papers are from my stash. Across the bottom, I've uses a pieces of funky green and white skull ribbon. The top corner has a piece of orange and black washi tape that has little  buggy eyed spiders. I've used three gemstones in the upper left corner.

This card is for a friend's grandson, for Halloween.

Wow, can you believe I'm back, again, this week?! Are you tired of seeing me yet?! LOL! I'm here with a new Halloween project for you, today, in honor of Freebie Friday, at Bugaboo Stamps! Today, my card features the Freebie Friday image, AKV Witch, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I've used a mix of kraft, orange and black. Recycled buttons, threaded with baker's twine, have been used to embellish the card.

Booooooooo To You

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I hope you're enjoying the fancy fold card I have for you, today. I made this for Bugaboo Stamps' Oldie But Goodie Thursday. Isn't it always nice to revisit those older images that we sometimes forget about?  That's exactly what we're doing, over at Catch The Bug, so head over and check out all the rest of the Oldie But A Goodie creations. You will love them!

My fancy fold card, today, uses the image Boo Ghost, from Bugaboo Stamps. I used a fun mix of Halloween papers to decorate both the inside and outside of the card.  The stripes and polka dots on the front just go great together, don't they? I've used a velcro adhesive tab from Tombow, to secure the card closed.  The ribbon is attached only to the front and includes a handmade bow. Two funky zebra striped gemstones were used to embellish the front. This fun Halloween card is perfect for  the guy or little boy in your life.

Hangin Around Halloween

Hi all! I'm here with a new card to show you, today!  This time, another Halloween card. I've used pumpin paper from my stash.  Green and white baker's twine was used to be the hanging strips of web, for the spiders.  The spiders are die cuts, with googly eyes added. I used Corn Candy Washi Tape, by Doodlebug, (Sold in the Simon Says Stamp Store). A black and white gingham handmade bow was added as the finishing touch.

A Goofy Halloween Kitty

Good Morning, good morning! I'm back, again, with a new card to show you.  Today is New release Tuesday at Bugaboo Stamps.  Well, you know Halloween is around the corner, so how about some new Halloween images? I hope you're ready, because we have some new ones for you! Check out all the new release creations from the DT at Catch The Bug.

My card, today, uses this week's new release image, Goofy Halloween Cat, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. This image reminds me when I was younger and used to dress up for Halloween... I always wanted to dress up as a cat for Halloween, with a big long tail... But, for some reason, I never did! Here, to you, Halloween kitty!

For the card layout, I've used the sketch at Sketch N Stash. All papers are from my stash. I used some fun shaped Halloween buttons - A bat shaped button has flown in and landed on the bottom right corner of the image. An orange button that says Halloween, serves as my sentiment for this card.  I added two punched black cats to the left side of the image, as the finishing touch.

Halloween Black Widow

Good morning bloggers, visitors and friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! I know I did, but phew, was it busy! I'm ready for things to calm back down!

I have a new card to show you, today.  A fun Halloween card! I went with a masculine theme and colors on this one because its for one of my bestest friends, who in Florida. A friend who always appreciates a handmade card.

My card uses the image, La'Spyda, By KennyK, colored with Promarkers. I attempted, for the first time, to do some blending of colors in the image. I'm not completely thrilled with the results, but it's a start and everyone has to start somewhere, right?! Hopefully I will be encouraged to keep trying with the blending and will learn as I go.  I used these fun Halloween papers from my stash. (Don't you just love the chevron paper with the glitter?!) I found these really cool die cut glittery spider webs at Archiver's a couple weeks ago and couldn't wait to use them on a card! Aren't they really cool?! I love, love, love them! Oh, then, of course, there's those creepy crawly spiders, made from a mini punch by EK Success. I used a white opaque pen by Signo to make the legs of the spiders stand out, then added glitter to his body with a Clearstar Gelly Roll pen, to make him stand out. I also used the clearstar gelly roll pen to add sparkle to her dress. The spiders were attached with foam mounting tape for dimension and 3D effect. 

I love the crispness of fall and I consider orange and black to be fall colors since I love Halloween and Halloween is in the fall!

Stella Celebrates Halloween

Hello, Hello!  My apologies to everyone for being away from the blog for awhile.  I had some major computer issues and was unable to get online.  Thank goodness all is well now, and I am back!

Today, I wanted to remind you that its time for a new challenge at Catch The Bug and we have one of everyone's favorite themes for you! This week's theme is "anything goes!"  Whoo Hoo! Gotta love those anything goes challenges!  Come over and play along with us! My card, today, features the image Stella Witch - Call Me Witch, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  I went with a black, white and purple color theme, with black and white ribbon across the top. Two small scraps of Purple Halloween ribbon are topped by a bright lime green spider.  The black gemstones adorn the bottom left corner.  The sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. Glitter and sparkle has been added to the image with a clearstar gelly roll pen.

Let's Take A Full Moon Flight

Welcome to another Thursday and another challenge at Shelly's Images!  We so appreciate all of you who play along with us! Today we have a new challenge for you.  Our theme is "Show Us Your Shape!"  That's right, we want to see your shaped cards, tags, etc!  Anything, really, as long as its shaped! You have two weeks to play along with us for your chance to win a goodie from the Shelly's Images Store!

My card today is shaped like a scalloped circle.  I wanted to challenge myself to use a sketch with a shaped card, and boy was it it a challenge! I do think I succeeded, though, and am happy with how it turned out!  I used the Sketch at Sketches By Carly.  I used a fun orange and black halloween paper with bats on it.  The ribbons are all from my stash.  I used black gemstones and green glittered ribbon to add sparkle and shine. The flowers are glittered as well.  The leaves beneath the flowers are punched with a punch by martha Stewart, and the bat paper is punched with a 3 1/2" circle punch.  I used the image, Full Moon Flight, by Shelly's Images, colored with Promarkers, to create my card.
