Have A Star Spangled Fourth Of July

Here I am, again, this time, with a fourth of July project.  My card uses the image, Super Spandex, from Slinky Tart, colored with markers. The image and banner are attached with foam mounting tape.  I love foam mounting tape because it helps add a nice touch of dimension to cards! My card layout uses the Sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I made this card for one of my best friends, for Fourth of July! I know my friend will love it! I used a Gold Glittery Star to embellish the card and set off the striped banner.

Now, on to the details of my card. "Thank You For Being A Friend" is the song that inspired my card. I made this for an amazing friend, who needs some cheering up right now.  I hope she's surprised when she gets this card and some goodies in the mail! Anyway, I went with one of my favorite color combos - Black, White and Pink. My card layout uses the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. All papers are from my stash. I've used a fun mix of papers: Chevron, Polka Dots, Stars and Stripes. I've used the image, Little Monster, by Wonderstrange, hand colored with Promarkers.  I've used pink gemstones and black pearls, to embellish. I added extra sparkle by using a piece of pink glittered ribbon across the center. The image and hearts were mounted with foam tape, for added dimension.This would also make a great card for kids!

Wow, can you believe I'm back, again, this week?! Are you tired of seeing me yet?! LOL! I'm here with a new Halloween project for you, today, in honor of Freebie Friday, at Bugaboo Stamps! Today, my card features the Freebie Friday image, AKV Witch, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I've used a mix of kraft, orange and black. Recycled buttons, threaded with baker's twine, have been used to embellish the card.

This card is perfect for a guy, this Halloween, with the wonderful masculine colors!

Stella Says Sketch For Birthday Week!

It's that time again! Time for another Stella Says Sketch challenge, at Catch The Bug.  We want to see you use our sketch, AND three of something, for the challenge this week. And. remember, this is birthday week, for Bugaboo Stamps, so we're celebrating every day, for a whole week, with a fun challenge everyday!  Come check out the fun with us at Catch The Bug! We'd love to see you play along with each and every challenge this week! There are lots of prizes up for grabs, including some extra special ones, to celebrate our birthday!  Come celebrate with us!

My card, today, uses the image, Sock Monkey/May/Floral, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. Along with using our sketch, we are asking you to use three of something on your project, as well as a number. I used red stars in two different sizes. Three are the larger red stars, the other four are smaller stars. I also used matching gemstone pearls, for lots of sparkle and shine. The border bunch is by Fiskars.  All papers are from my Stampin Up stash, paired with Stampin Up cardstock.  The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.  For my number, I Used two stickers,  4U, by Creative Memories, that I matted on cardstock and cut out by hand.

Star Spangled Birthday

Hi Hi! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!  My apologies for being so late in getting this post finished.  We were without power for about 16 hours and I am just now getting electric and internet back. Phew! I felt like I live in the boonies, without power! LOL

My project today is a birthday card, using Sock Elephant Balloon, from Bugaboo Stamps. This little cutie is colored with Promarkers and done in a red white and blue color theme for upcoming independence day, with a birthday twist. The papers are all from my stash.  A Fiskars punch was used to punch the border. I used blue ribbon and a red gingham bow, also from my stash. Whoo Hoo It's time for another challenge at Catch The Bug! The star was punched with punches by Creative Memories, blinged up with some diamond gemstones.  My ticket was punched with the new ticket stub punch by Stampin Up.  Gemstone stars from my stash were added to the bottom right corner for extra bling.

Picnic Time!

Good morning, everyone!  Welcome to another new challenge this week, at Shelly's Images! Since Fourth Of July is right around the corner, what better theme for this week, than Stars, Stripes and Sparkle! Now, let's talk about my project.  I've used picnic, by Shelly's Images, colored with Promarkers. Glitter and Sparkle has been added to the lemonade glasses with a clearstar gelly roll pen.  The flowers, by Recollections and Prima, are all from my stash, as is the ribbon. Pearls were added for the flower centers.  I used two buttons that were recycled from old clothing tht has been thrown away. My card layout uses sketch (#18), below, at Sketch And Stash

Are you ready for a new challenge at Catch The Bug?! It's time for our Anything Goes challenge, again~ Whoo Hooo! I know you all look forward to this one! It is definitely the favorite of all favorites for challenge themes!  I'm sure you're going to want to play along with us! I've been feeling patriotic, lately, so my project today is patriotic.  My card uses the image Fancy SB July USA, from Bugaboo Stamps.  The image is colored with Promarkers.  For the card layout, I've used the sketch at A And T Digital Designs Challenges. The stars are die cuts, cut from a flag print paper and a matching star paper.  I backed them with a solid blue cardstock and attached them with foam mounting tape for dimension. The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You, punched with circle punched and attached with foam mounting tape.  The polka dotted ribbonn is from my stash.

My card, today, uses the image Pretty Polly And Her Star Balloons, from Sassy Cheryl's. I went with an Independence Day card, since she seemed so perfect for a July 4th celebration!  The papers are all new, purchased specifically to use with this little cutie.  The red gemstones are from my stash.  I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the image.  I mean, what's a celebration and Independence Day, without sparkle, right?! The card layout is the sketch from this week's challenge at Catch The Bug.

Spread Your Wings

My apologies for being late getting my post up.  Hubby and I went out to dinner and things last night and I didn't get it done before we went to bed.  Set the alarm to get up and get it done this morning before it went live and hubby turned the alarm off before I heard it - So I overlspet!

Anyway, here I am and.....

Here we are, with a new challenges at Catch The Bug! Our theme, this week, is "Things With Wings."  This one is always fun! I love working with winged images for some reason, so I had a blast with this one!  If you like things with wings, play along with us and take a chance at winning some awesome images from Bugaboo Stamps!

My project uses the image, Bugaboo Brats bugs - Girl ladybug, from Bugaboo Stamps. I used the sketch from Sassy Studio Designs as my card layout.  The paper lace doily is from my stash.  I cut it in half, then used ribbon and diamond stars for embellishing.  I've colored the image with Promarkers, and accented the matting with silver pearls. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and punched with circle punches. The purple panel is embossed with swirls, using the Cuttblebug. I sponged around the image, to make less white space.

I made this card for a friend, to give her stepmom for Mother's Day.

I've used the Sketch at Sketch N Stash for my card layout.The image is Skelekinz - Birthday, from Bugaboo Stamps. She's colored with Promarkers. I used fresh spring colors and a mix of gingham and polka dots for this fun birthday card. The doily is punched with my new doily punch by EK Success, out of yellow and white gingham paper, then embellished with tiny pink gemstone stars for added bling. The sentiment is by Digi Darla and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. Both the image and the sentiment are mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension.

My Favorite Martian

It's new new new new release time, again, at Bugaboo Stamps! And such a far out, out of this world image for you, this time! A fun little martian! Don't be afraid, and don't worry! He's friendly and he loves to play! He admits though, that he'd love to come home with you and live there! Life on Mars has just gotten to be too mundane for him, so he's coming here and looking for lots of Bugaboo loving households to live in! I have a sneaking suspicion he's going to be inviting friends to come play with us, too! Whoo Hoo! A Martian party! How fun would that be?! My project today uses the new release image, Martian, from Bugaboo Stamps, and colored with Promarkers. I used the new metallic Promarkers to color in the spaceship. (Silver in this case) I wanted a funky looking card to show off this little guy, so I went with stars and polka dots, and of course, the color green! I mean, how can we have martians without the color green, right?! Both papers are from my stash and seemed perfect for this card. The clouds are hand cut by me - Yes, I know, its easy to tell, and I didn't do a great job on them, I admit. But this little guy just needed some clouds to fly through and I had to make him some to help him out! The clouds were cut in white, cut out and then sponged in two shades of blue. I attached the clouds and image with foam mounting tape, for dimension. The black and white Baker's Twine is from my stash, as well. I thought it was a nice touch for thew card. The button is recycled from and old shirt I threw away. I tied the baker's twine in a bow, in the center of the button.

This turned out to be a cute masculine card, but then, you could use it for a girl, too, if she's really into cute martian guys! I hear they are out of this world talented!
