Wooty Woot and Hooty Hoo! I'm here with another card for you! Today is Day 3 of my Growing in Unity GIU week for Unity Stamp Company and, I admit, I am loving today's card!

Again, I've used another stamp from the 5/18 Kit of the Month (KoTM), Open Sky, Deep Ocean, by Unity Stamp Company. This kit is just full of wonderful stamps! I've used the flower, this time, colored with Promarkers. I've paired it with two floral papers, a scrap of banner print paper and some polka dots.  I think it makes for a fun card! All papers are from my stash.  I've chosen not to use alot of embellishments on my cards, this week, because I really want to bring attention and focus to the fabulous stamps from Unity Stamp Company - They're gorgeous enough to stand on their own! And, the quality is amazing!

My card today uses the image, Birthday Strip, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I love this image, because it's just so fun! Of course, with such a fun image, I had to choose some fun papers! I went crazy with polka dots! I just love this color combo together, too!  Along with a fun image and fun papers, I just had to make a fun card layout, too!   Oh, oh, and what fun card would be complete without bling?  It may be hard to see, in the pic, unless you enlarge it, but I snuck in some fun pink gems in the bottom left and top left corners of the black polka dot panel.

Well, For Fox Sake!

Good Morning, Bloggers and Happy Valentine's Day!  It's new release day at Catch The Bug and we some awesome new release images in the store, today, in the Bugaboo Stamps store! We also have some awesome crafty creations for your viewing pleasure, on the Catch The Bug blog! Come on over and check out the new release creations from the super duper design team!

Can you believe that I farted around (Ooops, yes, I said farted!) and didnt get Valentines mailed out, in time?! Shame on me, I know!  I have a male friend to whom I ALWAYS send cards on holidays and special occasions - Unfortunately, I missed the boat for Valentine's day this year, so I've made my friend this card, as a belated Valentine's card. I've used this cutie new release image, Bugforfoxsake, from Bugaboo Stamps, The outside sentiment says "For Fox Sake." The inside sentiment, which you cant see, because, oops again, I forgot to take a pic of the inside of the card, before I mailed it yesterday) says "I'm late for Valentine's Day." I've used all papers from my stash, for creating this card.  It's a masculine card, so I've used masculine colors and papers, with no embellishments. My card layout uses the sketch at Sketch Saturday

Bugaboo Birthday Bash

Good Morning Bloggers and Crafters! Today is the start of Bugaboo's Birthday bash at Catch The Bug! Arent you excited?! I know you are - and so am I - But, guess what, there's even more fun to add to it - Because this year, Birthday bash has a theme! Whoo Hoo! Our theme for this year's Birthday Bash is "Under the Sea!" Such an awesome theme! There are prizes to be won, too - LOTS of prizes, if you play along in our daily challenges! Every day this week, there is a different birthday challenge.  Be sure you come and play along with us, for your chances to win!

Today is the first day of our Under The Sea Birthday Bash and we are starting it off with an easy one - Any birthday card, with an Under The Sea theme.

My card, for the Under The Sea Birthday Bash kickoff, is a fun one.  I used a retired mermaid image from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  For my card layout, I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I decided to dig through my stash and found the perfect fishy paper for the Under The Sea theme, don't you think?! I paired the paper from my stash with this new polka dot paper, to create a fun pattern combination. The little pennants were hand cut (I'm getting better at that, I think! LOL!) The sentiment is computer generated. Someone very near and dear to me is battling Colon cancer with metastasis. The awareness ribbon for Colon Cancer is Navy, so I've used lots of Navy in this card, for my friend's birthday, to remind my friend that there is so much left to fight for.

Today. I have a sympathy card for your viewing pleasure. My card uses the image, Rainy Day Bears - Rain Rain, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers used, are scraps from my stash. I cut various different paper scraps into banners, layered behind the image. I've embellished with pearls and flowers. Gemstones have been used as flower centers. A tiny heart charm hangs from baker's twine, to the top left of the image.  The sentiment is punched with circle punches.

Happy Saturday, everyone! It's time for a new challenge, today, at Catch The Bug! This week's challenge is Bingo! One of our favorites, and, hopefully one of yours!  As always, there are are prizes up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps, so hurry over to Catch The Bug and link up your bingo creation with us, for your chance to win!

Today, I have a very special card to show you.  This card was made for someone who means the world to me, and is going through something very stressful right now.  Please say a prayer that things will turn out in a positive way. He really needs prayers and positive vibes.

My masculine card uses the image, Puppy Pile, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  All papers used to create this card are from my stash. The paper with the anchors is symbolic of his courage, so it was perfect for this card.  Polka Dots and puppies were used, to lighten up the mood and hopefully bring a smile.  (Who doesn't smile over puppies and polka dots?!) The card layout uses the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I've used denim fabric tags as little banners, for my hand written sentiments. Tiny wooden buttons were used to embellish the top left corner of the card, as well as below the image.

Oh, and now, here are the details about my project for this challenge. I must admit, I've never been very good, in my opinion, of achieving the Vintage look.  So, while the image is gorgeous, I admit, I struggled a bit with this creation.  Hopefully. I've managed to achieve the Vintage look as the end result.  I made this pretty card using the image, Firefly Fairy, by Fairy Tangles, colored with markers. All papers used are from my stash.  I used glitter to add sparkle to the fireflies on the image, to the wings and to the band of stars across her forehead. I've used cream colored ribbon across the bottom and added a matching handmade bow.  The upper left corner of the card has been embellished with a metal filigree corner piece.

My card for this challenge uses the image, Casey The Clown, by Lizzy Love Oddball Art, colored with Copics. My card layout uses the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. All papers are from my stash. I love the mix of patterns - Chevrons and Polka Dots! I heart shaped die cuts, matted with black, to embellish.  I then attached the hearts with foam tape, for dimension, and added black and white bakers twine, to make them into heart shaped balloons.

Now, on to the details of my card. "Thank You For Being A Friend" is the song that inspired my card. I made this for an amazing friend, who needs some cheering up right now.  I hope she's surprised when she gets this card and some goodies in the mail! Anyway, I went with one of my favorite color combos - Black, White and Pink. My card layout uses the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. All papers are from my stash. I've used a fun mix of papers: Chevron, Polka Dots, Stars and Stripes. I've used the image, Little Monster, by Wonderstrange, hand colored with Promarkers.  I've used pink gemstones and black pearls, to embellish. I added extra sparkle by using a piece of pink glittered ribbon across the center. The image and hearts were mounted with foam tape, for added dimension.This would also make a great card for kids!

My Whimsical Little World

Here are the details of my card.  I've used the image, Penny's Special Day, from Di's Digi Stamps, colored with Promarkers. My card layout uses the Sketch at Digi Sketch Challenge. I went with a mix of black, grey and white patterned papers from my stash. The top panel is wrapped with sparkly black ribbon, tied in a handmade bow, I embellished the top right and bottom left corners of the card with chevron printed gemstones.

An Easel Note Pad and Pen Holder For Mom

Good Morning! It's ABC Monday at Catch The Bug - That's right! Anything But A Card? Are you ready to see a fabulous group of projects - Anything But A Card? I hope so, because you will love what we have to show you today! Stop over at Catch The Bug and check them out! You're sure to be inspired!

I made this cute Note Pad and Pen Holder, as a Mother's Day Gift. I love that it is made totally from Carsdstock and patterned paper! So cute! The note pad holder is actually an easel that stands up, much like an easel card. You can see the easel fold in the side view pic, below.

This note pad and pen holder is now one of my favorite fancy fold projects!

I am Using the image, Spring Boot, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with  both Promarkers and Copics. All patterned papers are from my stash (Thanks to the Hot Buys at Michael's)! On the front of the Note Pad Pocket, I've used a scalloped oval border punch, to punch a border in black and white patterned paper, placed across the center.  I then trimmed the top of the scalloped paper with a strip of sheer red and white polka dot ribbon.  I actually made a handmade bow, too, but accidentally threw it away when I cleaned up my paper scraps - And the bow was made with my LAST piece of that ribbon! Don't you hate it when that happens! Grr!

This way, you can see exactly what we used to create each project - Right down to the coloring medium and the colors we used! How cool is that?! Are you excited yet?! I hope so! Oh, and now, here is my recipe card for today's project:

As you can see from my recipe card, my card uses the image, Saphira Blue Belle, from Lacy Sunshine Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers used are from my stash. My card layout uses the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I've used hand dyed skittles to embellish the card. The flower is hand made, made with Stampin Up Punches. I hand cut a pennant, to stick up under the flower.  I think it's a great effect, don't you?!

And now, here are my card details. My card uses the image Granny's Cookies, from Robyn's Fetish. I went with fall type colors, because, for some reason, they remind me of baking cookies.  I decided to go with a friendship theme, since I have an awesome friend that I always send cookies to, whenever I bake! For my card layout, I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I've used scraps of matching paper, to make a pennant from out of the sentiment., which is hand stamped. and by Stampin Up! I've used adhesive bronze metallic metal diamonds, to embellish.
