This Life Is Pretty Amazing

Growing in Unity week (GIU) day 5! My last day! And the sentiment on today's cards is perfect for today - As this has been an amazing week. It also reminds me of how lucky I am to have the life that I do - Sure, It has its ups and down, like any, but overall, I've had a good life and am thankful for it every day.

Today's card uses.... yes, you guessed it, Another stamp from the 5/18 Kit Of the Month, (KoTM), Open Sky, Deep Ocean, from Unity Stamp Company. I decided to use the kit every day this week, (Except the first one) because I love it so much! The possibilities with this kit are endless!  The stamped image is colored With promarkers. I used green pearls to embellish. All papers are from my stash.

All papers used, are from my stash and colored with Promarkers.  I used tiny blue pearls as bubbles, to add texture.  The image was mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension.

Always Be On The Lookout, In The Presence of Wonder

Woot, woot, woot! Growing in Unity Day 4! Are you loving all of my creations so far?! I hope so! I also hope you're remembering to comment on my Unity post every day this week! You don't want to miss out on your chance to win a stamp grab bag from Unity Stamp Company!

My project today is one my favorites! I just love this mermaid,.from Unity's Angie Girls line.  I am drawn to black, purple and green together, for some reason.   I've used the stamp set, Adella Girl,  colored with promarkers, for this card.  All papers were scraps from my stash.  The stamp was colored with markers. Tiny black pearls were used to embellish. The sentiment is mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension.

Growing In Unity GIU Girl, Again! Woot!

Good Morning, Everyone! I'm thrilled to say that I'm lucky enough to have another opportunity to be a Growing in Unity GIU girl, for the week, for  Unity Stamp Company!  I'm sure you're familiar with their stamps, but, if you aren't, you really must check them out!  They're a small, family owned company and every order is cooked to order, just for you.  The quality of their stamps, and their customer service is amazing! Not to mention the fabulous selection of stamps, sentiments and inspiration. If you've never heard of Unity Stamp Company, please check them out! You'll be glad you did!

For My first project for this week, I was feeling a little fruity, so I've used one of thier smaller, sets, which they lovingly call "Itty Bitties."  (Gotta admit, I LOVE the name of this line)  This image and sentiment is from the set, Melon One, from Unity Stamp Company The image and stamp were stamped with  black Amalgam ink, by Gina K.  (Love this ink - Works great with any medium!) The images were colored with markers and fussy cut, by hand. All papers were from my stash, the banners were hand cut from scraps. I used black pearls in the center of the card, as well as in the upper right and lower left corners of the card. I also used tiny black pearls on the eyes of each watermelon slice.

Fluttering By To Say Thank You

Woot! I am here, today, with some awesome news! I've been accepted as part of the design team for Crafts Galore Encore! I've been out of the design team world, for awhile, due to having been taking care of my husband for the past several months.  I'm thrilled to be back, though, and so happy to have been accepted into a team that is super nice! Thank you, Crafts Galore Encore, for allowing me to join you!

Now that's out of the way, let's talk about my card!

For my card today, I've used the Marigolds and Morpho Digi set, from Fred She Said. Even though they're Marigolds, I went with colors that tickled my fancy, when coloring.  The images were colored with Promarkers. The "wild"  black and white paper is from my stash. I think it makes for a "wildly striking effect, with this image and colors I chose. I fussy cute all the images and I just love the way they turned out.  The butterflies were attached with foam tape, for added dimension.  I chose a beautiful silver and black ribbon to make a handmade bow, for embellishing the top of the frame.  Black pearls were added in the top left corner. It's difficult to see in the phot, but I used a clear star gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the center butterfly.

Today. I have a sympathy card for your viewing pleasure. My card uses the image, Rainy Day Bears - Rain Rain, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers used, are scraps from my stash. I cut various different paper scraps into banners, layered behind the image. I've embellished with pearls and flowers. Gemstones have been used as flower centers. A tiny heart charm hangs from baker's twine, to the top left of the image.  The sentiment is punched with circle punches.

Easel Mother's Day

Good Morning Bloggers!

Happy Mother's Day to all those mom's out there and to all those moms who are no longer with us!

I'm back with another challenge and another card for you, today!  Today starts a new  challenge over at Catch The Bug!  Today's challenge is Anything Goes, so you can enter anything you've created! . What did you create for your mom for Mother's Day? We'd love to see it! We'd love to see anything and everything you've created! Remember, anything goes! My mother is no longer with me, but it is still a day to remember her.  Today's card is a Mother's Day card.  My card uses the image, Heel Accessories, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I just love easel cards! It's considered a fancy fold card, but is so easy to make!  This one is exceptionally easy, as its all one piece of cardstock, with multiple score lines.  This card folds flat and is easily mailed, so no special envelope is needed.  I have kept this card simple. I've only used pearls and ribbon, to embellish.  The pink ribbon is tied into a handmade bow. The sentiment is Hand Stamped and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches, by Stampin Up.

What?! Santa Has Enough Reindeer?!

Good early morning, everyone! Are you excited? I hope so, because its New Release Tuesday at Bugaboo Stamps! We have some adorable new images for you, today, too, like this one - Puppy - Enough Reindeer. Isn't he just the cutest lilttle puppy you've ever seen?! I just fell in love with him when I seen him! He's just the thing for your Christmas cards,  What?! You haven't started on Christmas cards yet?! Oh, my, then you better get started! Why don't you start with picking up this little guy, and maybe a few others, from the Bugaboo Stamps store?

My card uses one of today's new release image and sentiment set, Puppy - Enough Reindeer, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers used are scraps from my scrap bin. (Gotta use up those scraps so we can buy more paper and make MORE scraps, right?!)  My card layout uses the sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy. I went with a fun mix of patterns this time, with tartan (plaid), santa and snowflakes. I felt they were perfect for this poor little reindeer puppy, so hopeful, as he stands out in the snow. I embellished with two pointsetta flowers, backed with burlap. The flower centers are jazzed up with tiny pearls.  I added glitter to the puppy's hat, the bells on his color and the snow beneath him.

This card was made to send a wonderful male friend of mine, for Christmas.  I'm sure he will love it - He doesnt mind if there are flowers on the card, for Christmas! :D

Have Ya Ever Just had One Of Those Days?!

Well, well, time sure flies, doesn't it?! I hope you aren't tired of seeing my creative inklings, because I am back, again, with another project to show you and another new challenge for you!  We have a new challenge for you, this fortnight, at Open Minded Crafting, and we'd love for you to play along! Our theme this time, for your creating pleasure, is "Fowls of All Kinds." Oh, c'mon now, don't moan and groan - It's not that hard.  Put on your thinking caps and see what you can create - Remember, Thanksgiving is coming up and who doesn't love turkey - It sure is my favorite bird! Now, that we've went over the meat and potatoes of it all, let's review my card details. I've used the image, That's Tragic, by Dr Digi's House of Stamps, colored with Promarkers, My card layout uses the sketch at Sketch N Stash. I have never won a challenge there but I really love thier sketches so I keep trying! One day it will happen, right?! The funny thing about this card... I had been driving down the road, coming home from the casino of all places, and started thinking about this image and wondering what I would do with it.... Then it came to me - I wanted to do this card in one of my favorite color combos - Black, White and Yellow.  I love this color combo, but for some reason I only use it when I have an image that just strikes me as perfect for it - Well, this was one of them, so I hightailed my booty on over to Hobby Lobby to get just the right paper - And I think I found it! Once I bought my paper, I couldn't wait to come home and create! I am very happy with the finished result and feel like this color combo was definitely the right decision.  I love the mix of the patterns, chevron and polka dots, together, The gears in the two corners of the image were punched with an old punch by EK Success.  (I found that little sucker at a yard sale and snatched it up! Woot! What a bargain!) The top left and bottom right corners of the card are embellished with sparkly gold gemstone pearls. I love them and felt they were perfect for this mix of patterns and colors! I finished off the card by adding wiggly eyes to the image - The perfect finishing touch, don't you think?!

This card is perfect for someone who's had a bad day and could use some cheering up!

A Sweet Get Well

Wow, can you believe it is Thursday, already? Whoo Hoo Almost Friday! Yay! Anyway, as you know, (if you don't you should be keeping up with the goings on over at Catch The Bug!), today is Oldie But A Goodie Thursday at Catch The Bug. My card for today uses the image, Boy Bear, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers, I used a fun design, this time, with layers of 3 banners.  I think it turned out really cute. The card was embellished with silver pearls. I also added two strips of yellow washi tape, to add an extra splash of color. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

My card uses the image, Sunbonnet Dentist, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used polka dot washi tape across the bottom part of the image. The corners of the image, as well as the top left corner of the card, have been embellished with pink metallic pearls. I used a cluster of flowers in the bottom right of the card.

Showing Off Summer

Welcome to our new challenge, at Hobbycutz. This fortnight's theme is your favorite and mine - Anything Goes! Whoo Hoo! You have two weeks to play along and there's great prizes up for grabs! We are so excited to see all your creations, so come play along with us!

I went with a summer themed card in bright, summery colors. My card uses the image, Ashley 3, from The East Wind, colored With Promarkers. I used a pair of flip flop buttons in the bottom right corner. In the top corner, I used a wooden flower diecut from Hobbycutz, then quilled vines to go on each side.  I added a shiny crystalized gemstone pearl to the center of the flower. The sunglasses on the image have been given that "Glass" look, with a clear Glaze pen.

It's Summer - Live, Love, Laugh

Happy Saturday! Are you ready for a new challenge at Catch The Bug? Good because we have one for you, today! This week's theme is... summer! Whoo Hoo! Summer is fast approaching, so this theme is perfect, isn't it? Come over, link up and show us your summer themed creations for your chance to win!

My caruses the image, AKV Love - Bike Ride, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with one of my favorite color combos - Black, White and Red. Don't you just love these colors together? I used red glittery pearls to embellish. In the top left corner, I made a fun banner using twine and washi tape. A Latte Thanks

Whoo Hoo! It's another Oldie But Goodie Thursday, at Catch The Bug. There are lots of the older images from Bugaboo Stamps, to being brought back into the spotlight, today. I went with a thank you card, today. My card uses the image, Girlz Coffee,from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I've used a mix of pink and blue for this card. Flowers and Pearls were used to embellish. The sentiment is handstamped and punched with word window and modern label punches by Stampin Up.

Let's Bring Out The Vintage

Welcome to our Vintage Challenge at Hobbycutz. I'm ashamed to say, this theme is a bit out of my comfort zone. I've only done a Vintage card one other time, so this was a real challenge for me! Oh, but that just goes to show you - Never be afraid to try something new and step out of your comfort zone! You just may surprise yourself! You have two weeks to step out of your comfort zone with us this time, and play along! We are so excited to see all your vintage creations, so come play along with us!

My card uses the image Britanny 1920's Flapper, from Artbymiran, I used a wood cut frame from Hobbycutz. I covered the frame in white tulle and added the fussy cut image to the center. Around the frame, I added pearls, for vintage appeal. I used pealrs, also in the upper right and lower left corners of the center panel. The top left and bottom right corners are adorned with a paper flower and punched greenery. The punch is the Branch Punch, By Martha Stewart.

What do you think of my paper choices? I think everything seems to go great together - But then I've always been kind of odd! LOL! I used blue pearls to embellish this funky male card.

My card uses this week's Freebie Friday image, Cupcake - Sprinkles, from Bugaboo Stamps. colored with Promarkers. This image is perfect for birthday cards! I went with shades of blue and tried to make a more masculine birthday car for a child. I used liquid pearls to embellish, as well as a monster shaped buttons at the top, above the image. Isn't this a fun card?!
