Always Be On The Lookout, In The Presence of Wonder

Woot, woot, woot! Growing in Unity Day 4! Are you loving all of my creations so far?! I hope so! I also hope you're remembering to comment on my Unity post every day this week! You don't want to miss out on your chance to win a stamp grab bag from Unity Stamp Company!

My project today is one my favorites! I just love this mermaid,.from Unity's Angie Girls line.  I am drawn to black, purple and green together, for some reason.   I've used the stamp set, Adella Girl,  colored with promarkers, for this card.  All papers were scraps from my stash.  The stamp was colored with markers. Tiny black pearls were used to embellish. The sentiment is mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension.

I am having such a great time with my Growing in Unity week - I hope you're enjoying the eye candy I've been providing.  I admit, though, tomorrow's project is my favorite - So I've saved that one for last! Make sure you are here, tomorrow to see my last Growing in Unity project!

Wow can you believe Turkey Day is just around the corner?! It'll be here before you know it? I can already practically taste that yummy turkey, that homemade stuffing and mashed potatoes..... My card uses the image, AKV Thanksgiving - Turkey, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. I just love how the plaid/stripes fit in with the other papers. This is the perfect male card for Thankgiving. Nice and simple, not girlie.

What?! Santa Has Enough Reindeer?!

Good early morning, everyone! Are you excited? I hope so, because its New Release Tuesday at Bugaboo Stamps! We have some adorable new images for you, today, too, like this one - Puppy - Enough Reindeer. Isn't he just the cutest lilttle puppy you've ever seen?! I just fell in love with him when I seen him! He's just the thing for your Christmas cards,  What?! You haven't started on Christmas cards yet?! Oh, my, then you better get started! Why don't you start with picking up this little guy, and maybe a few others, from the Bugaboo Stamps store?

My card uses one of today's new release image and sentiment set, Puppy - Enough Reindeer, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers used are scraps from my scrap bin. (Gotta use up those scraps so we can buy more paper and make MORE scraps, right?!)  My card layout uses the sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy. I went with a fun mix of patterns this time, with tartan (plaid), santa and snowflakes. I felt they were perfect for this poor little reindeer puppy, so hopeful, as he stands out in the snow. I embellished with two pointsetta flowers, backed with burlap. The flower centers are jazzed up with tiny pearls.  I added glitter to the puppy's hat, the bells on his color and the snow beneath him.

This card was made to send a wonderful male friend of mine, for Christmas.  I'm sure he will love it - He doesnt mind if there are flowers on the card, for Christmas! :D

A Latte Thanks

Whoo Hoo! It's another Oldie But Goodie Thursday, at Catch The Bug. There are lots of the older images from Bugaboo Stamps, to being brought back into the spotlight, today. I went with a thank you card, today. My card uses the image, Girlz Coffee,from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I've used a mix of pink and blue for this card. Flowers and Pearls were used to embellish. The sentiment is handstamped and punched with word window and modern label punches by Stampin Up.

Clownin' Around With Colors

Welcome to another Saturday challenge at Catch The Bug! This week, we have a Color Challenge for you?! Think you can handle that?! If so, then come on over to Catch The Bug to check out the color theme photo so you can create a project and play along with us. We have lots of prizes up for grabs, so come play along for your chance to win!

My card uses the image Lil Clown 4, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. Of course, I followed the color scheme in this week's color challenge. This card is perfect for a little boy's birthday. I used all scraps to create this card and think I did a pretty darn good job if I do say so, myself! LOL! The centers of the small squares are punches with the postage stamp punch from EK Success. I used some blue buttons, recycled from an old shirt that had been thrown away, and placed those in the center of the small squares. I used googly eyes on the clown. Isn't he cute?!

Monkey Bundle Of Joy

I have a cute new baby card to show you, using this new release Monkey image, from Bugaboo Stamps. Isn't this just the cutest little monkey girl, sitting on that big banana?! The image is colored with Promarkers. I used a fun sketch that just seemed to fall out of my head onto the paper. I went with a monochromatic theme, but, of course, had to make the banana yellow.  After all, who's ever heard of a pink banana?! I used my new pink gemstones to embellish two corners of the image and three corners on the white patterned paper panel. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 you and is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches. All papers are from my stash.

It's Almost Thanksgiving

Wow, I can't believe how fast time is moving! Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving?! I'm ready for that turkey dinner that day, aren't you?!

In honor of Thanksgiving, I have a new card to show you today.  I wet with  fall colors for this cute Thanksgiving/Give Thanks card.  I've used the  freebie newsletter image, Priscilla Pilgrim, from Rick St Dennis.  If you aren't familiar with the work of Rick St Dennis, you really are missing out! He draws awesome digital images! Go check them out in his store! You will be so glad you did!

I've colored the image with Promarkers. All fall colored papers are from my stash. I've used blue card stock for my cad base and matting, to add a touch of color. I've used one of my favorite tools, my crop a dile, to punch four holes in the bottom panel, then inserted a brad in each hole and wrapped orange and white twine around each brad, before securing the brad to the card.  The Twine is threaded through a brown buttons, recycled from old clothing I threw out during a cleaning spree.  Gotta love recycling! The sentiment is by Taylored Expressions and has been hand stamped, then punched with circle punches.

I have lots of Birthdays coming up among friends and family, so I thought I'd do a birthday card for today's challenge.  (Besides, I thought you might like a break from seeing Christmas cards!) My card uses the image Bugaboo Cowboy - Fence, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. My stash just happened to have scraps of these fun denim plain and bandanna print papers, as well as these scraps of red and white gingham - So they were perfect for a western themed card! I've used for metal brads to attach the gingham print panels and embellished one corner of the image with a blue and white gingham bow.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Today, I have this cute masculine birthday card to show you.  For my card, I used the image Make It Snappy - Birthday Ewe, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with shades of blue and brown, for my color scheme. I used buttons, recycled from old clothing and threaded with baker's twine, to embellish beside the image.  The center panel has sheer brown ribbon, with two handmade bows.  I've used blue pearls across the bottom.

Snowman Thank You

Wow, can you believe how fast Christmas has come and gone?! It was here and gone before we knew it, wasn't it?! Of course, we had lots of snow here, after Christmas, which came in before we knew it.. two snow storms in a row, but luckily one didn't amount to much!  I hate hate hate snow!  But, I do love snowmen!  Which brings me to today's project!

It's time for a new Stella Says Sketch challenge at Catch The Bug, with awesome prizes from Bugaboo Stamps up for grabs! Come over, check out our new sketch, and play along with us! We love it when you participate, and you could be one of our next big winners, just for playing along!

For my card layout, of course, I used the sketch from the current Stella Says Sketch challenge. I've used the image, Snowman Star, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used this fun new paper pack from Bo Bunny, in nice winter colors. The border was punched with the drippy goo punch, by Martha Srewart, then sparkle added with a clearstargelly roll pen.  I also added sparkle to the snowman, as well, with the same pen.  The crystal snowflake embellishment is from my stash.  My sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Hey Hey! Here we are, again, with another Stella Says Sketch challenge over at Catch The Bug! We want to thank all of you who played along, last time, and those of you who didn't - Well, we want to invite you to come over and play with us! My card, today, features the image, Clyde - Clyde Birthday, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I made this card for my best friend's birthday.  He loves Dragons and the color purple, so I wanted to make him something with both elements.  The sketch, of course, uses the sketch from our current Stella Says Sketch challenge. All papers are from my stash, as are the purple gemstones.  I used a pennant punch, as well as a circle punch for the sentiment.

My card uses the image, Turtle Trio Birthday, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with this fun color combo of purple green and white.  For the card layout, I used the sketch at Sketch N Stash. The image is mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension. All papers are from my stash.  Gotta love the mix of plaid, polka dots and stripes! The flower was punches with a flower punch from Martha Stewart, with a purple gem added as the flower center.  Purple gems were also used to embellish two corners.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with circle punches.

My card uses the image, AKV Ballerina - Ballerina 1, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used these fun plaid and spotted papers from my stash.  To keep with the theme, I used both lace and diamond like gems on my project.  The gems and swirls are from my stash.  The ruffly, girly pink lace is from Hobby Lobby.  I used a small piece of the lace and formed it to make a flower, and added a gem in the middle for the flower center.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with circle punches.  My card layout uses the Sketch at Sketch And Stash. I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the ballerina's crown.

Gotta love this girly birthday card!

Flowers For You

Oldie But Goodie Thursday is here, again, at Catch The Bug! We've brought you some awesome creations, today, to spark your creativity and get that mojo rockin.  Of course, this means today is the day we use some of the older, but oh so fabulous images from Bugaboo Stamps for our creations.  Hopefully they'll provide you some inspiration and maybe you'll even see an image used, today, that you just have to have! Come and see what we've created, at Catch The Bug! You'll be glad you did!

My card, today, uses the image For You Flower, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with a monochromatic color scheme.  This image seemed perfect and overall I think it came out beautiful! For my card layout, I've used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The papers are both from my stash. The lighter paper is actually pale pink, embossed with a flower pattern.  (It is a bit difficult to tell, in the pic due to the sheen of the paper). I chose pearls and speckled metal brads for my embellishments, with a few strands of pink and white twine. I didn't feel an additional sentiment was needed, since there's a sentiment on the images.

Let's Go Caroling

Hey all! It's time for a recipe challenge at Catch The Bug! Sound like fun?! Hope so, because we'd really love for you to come play along with us! The recipe is to use buttons, twine, and a sentiment.  Don't be tied up by thoughts of twine! It's simple to use and can be lots of fun once you get started! I love twine!
