The sentiment is Hand Stamped and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. The image and sentiments are both mounted with foam mounting tape for added dimension.

It's Your Birthday, Girlie!

Here we area, again, folks, with new sponsorship news! Bugaboo Stamps is sponsoring
Sisterhood of Crafters! Are you excited, yet?! You should be, because you have  a chance to win if you play along in thier new challenge! The theme is "Diamonds, Pearls and Lace."  Calm down, don't get worried - You don't have to use them all on your project - You just have to use one.  Simple enough, isn't it? Now hurry over to Sisterhood of Crafters and play along for your chance to win images from Bugaboo Stamps!

Need some inspiration for your "Diamonds, Pearls, And Lace" project?  How about this cute card?

My card uses the image, AKV Ballerina - Ballerina 1, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used these fun plaid and spotted papers from my stash.  To keep with the theme, I used both lace and diamond like gems on my project.  The gems and swirls are from my stash.  The ruffly, girly pink lace is from Hobby Lobby.  I used a small piece of the lace and formed it to make a flower, and added a gem in the middle for the flower center.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with circle punches.  My card layout uses the Sketch at Sketch And Stash. I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the ballerina's crown.

Gotta love this girly birthday card!

Have Yourself A Rockin' Christmas

Happy Christmas in July!  Have you all been playing along with the Christmas In july mini challenges at Catch The Bug?! I hope so, because there are some awesome prizes up for grabs! If you haven't been playing along, you still have time!  And don't forget, we're having a blog hop, too! So be sure you stop by so you can have a chance at the fabulous prizes from Bugaboo Stamps!

We have a new mini challenge for you, today, at Catch The Bug.  We want to see you make a Christmas card using an image that isn't usually for Christmas.  Oh, c'mon now, don't moan and groan! It's much easier than it sounds, really! You can make most anything work for a Christmas card! Go ahead, give it a try! You'll be surprised how easy it is!

As a matter of fact, I've done just that, using the image, Lil Dude - Guitar, from Bugaboo Stamps.  He's colored with Promarkers. I wanted to incorporate music into this one, and make it a masculine Christmas card, so I went with shades of brown and blue. My papers are patterned with glittered snowflakes, music notes, and stripes.  I decided not to use any embellishments on this one, since its totally masculine.  My card layout uses the Sketch at Sketches By Carly.

See! It's easy to use a non Christmas image to make a Christmas card! Now, come play in the challenge with us, and show us your creation!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

I'm back with another card for you, today! Still working on those Christmas cards! While I'm here, I want to tell you about the new challenge starting today, at Daisy's Doodles. The challenge this fortnight is "Aww What An Angel/Something sweet, with a sketch, which I've followed on today's card. Sketch challenges are my favorite, because they show me different ways to lay out my cards, that I may not have thought of before! Come on over to Daisy's Doodles
and play along with us for your chance to win some awesome digi images!

For today's project I'm using this fortnight's challenge sketch, and this adorable angel image from
Daisy's Doodles. She's colored with Promarkers. All papers are scraps from my stash. The angel has had glitter and sparkle added with a clearstar gelly rollpen. I printed the angel three times then did fussy cutting around each one and layered them on the card with foam mounting tape for dimension.

Music Speaks What Cannot Be Expressed

Whooo Hoo! It's Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images and you know what that means! Time for a new featured image that is on sale, today only, for a special price! Today's image is Clarinet, from Shelly's Images. You can pick up this fantastic image in store today only for a special sale price! Check out her other fabulous images, too, while you're there!

For my project today, I have used today's featured image, Clarinet, colored with Promarkers. I went on a search and find mission, to get these musical designer papers, specicically to use with this image, and finally found them at Hobby Lobby. The image is punched out using ascalloped circle punch from EK success, and the matted on black. I used a decorative corner punch, to punch corners of the white musical DP. The red and black spotted paper is from my stash. I've used red roses by recollections, and a gray pearled trinket pin by Maya Road. The sentiment is computer generated and then punched using a tag punch by Stampin Up. The ribbon on the tag is from my stash. I added glitter and sparkle to the clarinet image and to the red roses using a clearstar gelly roll pen.

The Tag sentiment says:

Music Speaks What Cannot Be Expressed,
Soothes The Mind and Gives It Rest,
Heals The Heart and Makes It Whole,
Flows From Heaven To The Soul.

Anything And Everything At Craft Your Passion

I'm so excited to tell you about our new challenge at Craft Your Passion! It's time for another, "Anything Goes" challenge! Whoo Hoo! And this time, not only can you win images of your choice from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and CocoDingo, but we have a sponsor! We are being sponsored by the wonderful Judy, from Pizazz Aplenty, and she's giving our winner a yummy package of goodies from her store! If you haven't checked out Pizazz Aplenty, you better rush over to their store and check it out! Judy has fast service, and there is still time to place an order for Christmas!

Judy, from Pizazz Aplenty, has been kind enough to send our Design Team some goodies to work with! How cool is that?! Most of our Design Team are using products from Pizazz Aplenty on thier creations this week! Head over to the Craft Your Passion challenge blog and check out the scrumptious creations from the rest of the Design Team!

For my card, I used this fabulous guitar image by CocoDingo. I love this image, because it's perfect for a male card, and I can still add bling! I went with a blue and brown combo for my card. The DP is from my stash. I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and more sparkle to the image. All bling used on my card, is from Pizazz Aplenty. I've used three 7mm blue rimstones in the top left corner, three 4mm shiny gold gemstones in the bottom right corner, and four 4mm shiny gold gemstones for the corners of the image. The guitar image has several of the beautiful sparkly 3mm clear gemstones along the music staff. I am sooooo loving all this bling from Pizazz Aplenty! My card fits the sketches at Simon Says Stamp and The Pixie Cottage.

This card was so much fun to make, and I really enjoyed playing with all the goodies Judy sent us! Thanks so much Judy!

Musical Elegance with Craft Your Passion

It is challenge day over at Passion. This week, the recipe is to use lace and at least one flower on your project. It doesn't have to be a card, it can be any type of craft project. Play along with us, for your chance to win an image of your choice from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and CocoDingo. They have some cute images to choose from!

I decided to go with black and white + one other color, for my color combo. I love this color combo and it is perfect for this image. I'm using the Piano image from Lauretta. I colored the piano with a black Promarker and then added highlights using a white Prismacolor colored pencil. This is my first time at coloring an all black image, so I was very nervous about it, at first. While its not perfect, it came out better than I thought, and I'm pleased with the overall effect. My card layout is based on the sketch from Paper Pretties, 2 Sketches 4 You,and from the sketch at Kgiron. The striped DP is from my stash, and I used one piece of it flipped the opposite direction, for some added contrast. The red flowers are a recent purchase and its my first time using them. (I love them!) The flowers are by recollections and give the card 3D dimension. This ribbon is new also. I found it at Michael's and it struck my fancy. I had no idea when I bought it, what I would use it for... But then when I seen this piano image, I new this ribbon would go perfectly. (I love the silver blingy gems on this ribbon, and the sparkle!) I purchased the lace from Joanne's specifically for this project.
