Hoot Hoot Hurray!

Today is a special day for Craft Your Passion, folks! Today marks their 100th challenge! Wow! Can you beleive it?! Time sure has flown by! It's hard to beleive it, isn't it?! I remember fondly, the time I served on the DT at Craft Your Passion. I started as a guest designer back when Lauretta and Corrine ran the challenge blog, and ended up staying on. The time eventually came for me to move on, and the blog is now ran by the wonderful Jenn Jackson, who's doing a bang up job! *Applause* From time to time, Jenn invites me back as a guest for special events, and of course, I'm always happy to participate! This is no exception! I'm honored, as always to be be asked. This is a special time for Craft Your Passion and a real cause for celebration!

The celebration is in full swing, with tons of wonderful sponsors! Lots of sponsors mean lots of prizes! Be sure you head over and check out the festitivities at Craft Your Passion and play along in the current challenge, for your chance to win!

I went with a shaped card for my first Craft Your Passion project. I'm using Hootie Pie Clown by Pink Cat Studio, who's one of the many fabulous sponsors this week! He's colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash.

Hop Along With Craft Your Passion

Welcome to Craft Your Passion Challenges VERY FIRST "Anything Goes" Blog Hop!!

We are very excited about all the changes our blog has gone through in the last couple of months and wanted to throw a party. What better way to do that, than to have a BLOG HOP!!!

If you have hopped over from Jenn's blog, then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stop by and would like to join our hop from the beginning, please go to Craft Your Passion Challenges and follow along for a chance to win some AMAZING blog candy along the way and PRIZES at the end.

All Craft Your Passion DT members are going to be playing along in the hop with some very special guest designers.

Each designer along the way is featuring a project that showcases a digital image from at least one of our amazing Blog Hop Sponsors.

What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at Craft Your Passion Challenges for a chance to win one of several prizes.

But, there’s a twist. Be sure to visit all the stops and leave a comment. Once you have finished the hop we would like you to create a project using at least one digital stamp and enter it with our Linky tool.

While you are hopping, be sure to check out the blog candy the designer's have to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

I have two projects for you, today, from two different sponsors. First, my card featuring a fun image from Bugaboo Stamps, who's offering a great prize as part of our hop:

My card layout uses Repeat Impressions Sketch S711. I've used this wonderful image from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used some new ruffled ribbon from Stampin Up. The cream colored panel is embossed with one of my new Cuttlebug folders. I cut out two fun bundles of clouds and pop dotted them onto my card, for dimension. The raindrops were punched with a Teardrop punch by Imagination, then outlined with a white opaque pen, then pop dotted them to the card. This turned out to be a great male card!

My next card uses this fabulous image called Klub Kid Witch by another of our wonderful sponsors, the wonderful Rick St. Dennis.

I've colored Klub Kid Witch with Promarkers and used a fun mix of Halloween papers from my stash. The glittered green ribbon is new, from Michael's.

Now that I've told you about my projects, let's get get to the next stop on the hop!

Next, stop by Jamie's blog, to see what she has in store for you today.

Remember, once you have hopped to all the stops and left your comments (we will be checking), it's your turn to show us your "Anything Goes" project.

Make sure to include a digital stamp somewhere on your project, and link up your project over at Craft Your Passion Challenges by Midnight CST September 21 to be eligible for the prizes. Winners will be announced on our Monday, September 26th Challenge post.

Thank you all for hopping with us today and don't forget to "like" Craft Your Passion Challenges on facebook and join in our September Facebook Fan of the Month Challenge under the "discussions" tab!!

Birds Of A Feather

Yay! It's Monday, and that means a new challenge at Craft Your Passion! Our theme this week is Paper Piecing. We have a fabulous sponsor for you this week! We're being sponsored by the wonderful folks at AI Factory, who are giving away a digi prize to one lucky winner!

The generous folks over at AI Factory have given the DT a couple of adorable image sets to play with this week, too! Thank you, AI Factory!

We hope you will join us at Craft Your Passion for our Paper Piecing challenge this week! You know you'd love to win the digi prize from AI Factory! And while you're visiting us at Craft Your Passion, check out the other wonderful creations by the DT and leave them some love!

For my project this week, I decided to try and make a corner bookmark. I hadn't ever made one before, so I was a little nervous about it. While it didn't turn out perfect, I'm happy with the results, for my first attempt! I used scraps of papers from my stash. The birdies are paper pieced and are from the Little Birdie Told Me set from AI Factory. I used a tea green Promarker to outline around the white parts of the birds. I wanted those parts to be white, but find that the white often gets lost in everything, if it isnt highlighted. The tea green Promarker is very light and works well to highlight white spaces. I used the branch punch by Martha Stewart to make sprigs of greenery for the birdies to nest in, and to nest the heart in. The heart is punched with a punch by Creative Memories, and is attached with foam mounting tape for dimension. The border is also punched using a Martha Stewart Punch.

I am entering this corner bookmark in the following challenges:

Have a Relaxing Birthday

Craft Your Passion has another great challenge for you, this week, and it's one of your favorites! Anything Goes! Whoo Hoo! You have no excuse, now, not to play along this week!

We have some fabulous sponsors, this week, too! Our digi sponsors are Wags 'n Whiskers and Pattie's Creations. We're also being sponsored by The Robin's Nest. A fun challenge, with fabulous prizes! Who could ask for anything more?!

Be sure and play along with us at Craft Your Passion this week for your chance to win some awesome prizes from our sponsors!

My card today is sort of unusual for me. I always color my images, but this time, I decided to do something different. I've seen cards made with uncolored images and they turn out so pretty. I was always afraid to try it, but decided to venture out into the unknown and see what I came up with. I went with a color combo that I felt would help focus on the image. My card is done in chocolate, olive and lemon. I really like the dramatic effect the uncolored image gives with this color combination. The image is from one of our wonderful sponsors, Pattie's Creations, and is called Bathtime Pattieboop. All papers used on my card are from my stash. The prima flower has an adhesive pearl as the flower center. The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up. My card layout uses the sketch at Sketch Saturday.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Sketch at Sketch Saturday
June Digi Day at Stamp Something
Challenge #28 Uncolored Image at My Partner In Crafting Crime
Say It In Olive, Lemon and Chocolate at Annabelle Stamps
Challenge #12 Anything Goes Birthday at Birthday Sundaes

What A Guy! My Hero!

Hey, Hey Hey! It's Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Are you ready for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion?!

This week, our theme is, "What A Guy!" Awww don't grumble and groan! I know making masculine cards isn't everyone's favorite theme, but we need to show some love to the guys and boys in our lives too!

Our sponsor this week is Bonni, of Dude Time Doodles (Bonibleaux Designs). Bonni supplies us with some fun male images to work with, and is offering one lucky winner some digi's from her shop! She has some fabulous new releases out! You Don't want to miss out on your chance to win!

Come on over to Craft Your Passion?! and play along in our, "What A Guy" challenge!

My card today, was so fun to create, because it reminds me of my husband and how he hates spiders. (I know the bug in the image isn't a spider, but it still fits with my story) Years ago, I had ordered a bunch of stamping supplies online, around Halloween. When the box came, the company had sprinkled in a bunch of those black plastic spider rings. Hubby was gone to work. Purely innocently, and not even thinking about it, I dumped the plastic spider rings in the trash can. I didn't realize at the time, that one of the spider rings had landed on the edge of a white paper plate in the trash can. Well, later that day, hubby came home and went to throw something away, and seen the spider in the trash can, and went berserk. Next thing I know, he's yelling and beating on the trash can! I run in there, and there he is screaming battle crys and beating the crap out of the trash can, screaming, "Die Die Die!" I'm sorry to say it was quite hysterical at first, and I couldn't help but laugh! It took me ten minutes to calm him down and get it through to him that the spider was plastic! LOL

So, now you can see why this image cracks me up and reminds me of hubby!

I went with two different patterned papers for my card... Stripes and Polkda dots, both papers from my stash. I used ribbon, also from my stash, across the corner pieces of DP, and trimemd it with a punched edge, from a Martha Stewart punch. The image is by Dude Time Doodles and is colored with Promarkers. I used buttons off of an old shirt to embellish the opposite corners.

Anything Goes And I'm Thinking Birthday

It's challenge time at Craft Your Passion! Whooo Hooo!

This week, we have another "Anything Goes" challenge for you! Be sure you play along with us at Craft Your Passion

There are four fabulous sponsors, too!! Our sponsors are: Mami Doodles, Digital Delights By Louby Lou, The Charm Barn, and Crafter's Companion. Don't miss out on your chance to win!

One of my co-workers has a delightful little granddaughter, who's having a birthday, this month. I generally do something for little Sativa-Ann, for her birthday. This year, I wanted to be different. I decided to make this cute little birthday bucket filled with candy.

The bucket has styrofoam in the bottom, with easter grass on top. The sticks are wooden skishkabob skewers that I bought last summer, for grilling shishkabobs, and still had some lying around the house. The Image (Nesbitt) and tickets are by Digital Delights By Louby Lou. I've colored the image with Promarkers. The "flowers" are punched with scalloped circles, with the ticket sentiments attached to them, with foam mounting tape. I attached the punched flowers and Nesbitt image to the skewers with hot glue. The ribbon around the bucket is from my stash. After adding my skewers to the bucket, I filled the bucket with candy.

I think little Sativa-Ann is going to love this birthday gift!

It's Your Birthday! Grin and Bear It!

Are you ready for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion?! It's that time, again, and we have a fun new theme for you this week!

This time, our theme is "Grin and Bear It." We want to see all of your projects featuring a bear. We know people love to use bears on their cards and things, so we felt like this would be a fun theme. The possibilities are endless!

Come on over and play along with us at Craft Your Passion. Our sponsor this week is the oh so talented Kayla, of Purple Panda Designs. Play along with us for your chance to win!

Kayla gave the DT the most adorable bear images to use on our projects this week. My card uses the sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches, Stamp With Fun and at Sketch and Stash. for the layout. I used some fun papers for this one, too! The image is colored with Promarkers. I've used papers, a punched scalloped circle and punched scalloped border from Stampin Up. I got these goodies as one of my freebies from the recent Sale-A-Bration catalog, and dressed them up by adding glitter and sparkle with a clearstar gelly roll pen. The large adhesive pearls were part of the 99 cent bling I bought at the Scrapbook Expo I just attended over the weekend. Gotta love that bargain bling!

Dude Time

Here we are, with a new challenge for you at Craft Your Passion! This week, our theme is to make a male card. Not easy for some of us, but an easy challenge for some of you! I hope you'll play along with us this week!! You could win some great prizes!

Oh, and of course, we have a fabulous sponsor for you this week! This week it is Dude Time Doodles (Bonniebleux Designs)! Bonnie generously gave the DT some of her awesome images to work with, and she is offering $10 in digi images from her store, to one lucky winner! You don't want to miss out on your chance at this fabulous prize!

For my card, I am using this hilarious image, Jose Hosed, by Dude Time Doodles (Bonniebleux Designs). As soon as I seen him, I just had to have him! He cracks me up! I knew, instantly, the sentiment I was going to use with him!

The papers are all from my stash. I tried to go with male type colors, so I chose a mix of browns, blues and greens. Of course, I had to throw a little twist on it, with the addition of the brown polka dots. Who says Polka Dots can't be for men?! Mr Jose Hosed is using his hose to spray off his porch. He is colored with Promarkers. I typed up the sentiment, It's not the size of your Hose, it's how you use it," on the computer and then punched it out with a scalloped oval punch by Marvey. I used a cinnamon brown ink to go around the edges of the sentiment. The sentiment is attached, using foam mounting tape for added dimension.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Let's Tie One On at Craft Your Passion

Good Morning! It is challenge day, again, at Craft Your Passion and this means we have a new sponsor! This week, we are being sponsored by Shelly, from Shelly's Images! Shelly is offering up a prize for our winner this week, so you want to be sure to play along with us! Also, please check out the wonderful creations by the rest of our DT. Shelly gave us some wonderful images to work with this week!

Ooooh, I almost forgot to tell you our challenge theme for this week! Our theme is "Let's Tie One On! We want to see you use ribbon, string, yarn, twine, or anything you can tie, on your project! A fun and easy theme, so there is no excuse not to play along with us! Get out your ink and get busy creating, then join us at Craft Your Passion for your chance to win!

For my project, I decided to go with a Birthday card. I'm using this adorable image, supplied by Shelly's Images. I've colored him with Promarkers and used my clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle. The yummy green metallic ribbon is from the Christmas Clearance at Michael's. The DP is from my stash. Sentiments were punched from the DP using the oval and scalloped oval punches from Stampin Up. Ive used the sketch at Create4Fun for my card layout, but have flipped it a little. My card also fits the sketch at Totally Gorjuss.

Craft Your Passion-Anything Goes-Card #2

As mentioned in my previous post, at Craft Your Passion this week, our theme is "Anything Goes," and we have three awesome sponsors for you, today! We are being sponsored by the wonderful Judy, from Pizazz Aplenty, and she's giving our winner a yummy package of goodies from her store! If you haven't checked out Pizazz Aplenty, you better rush over to their store and check it out! Judy has fast service, and wonderful prices! Our second sponsor is the fabulous Digi's With Attitude! If you have attitude or even just like attitude, these are the digi stamps for you! Cindy Lynn has created some fantastic images for us all to enjoy! The Grumpy Gretchen series is my favorite! If you haven't checked out her images, you really need to! They're awesome! Our third sponsor this week is Digi's By Phooka. Myriam has created lots of adorable images and they are just too cute for words! They are a newer digi company and could really use our support. Please jump on over to Myriam's store and check out her adorable digi stamps.

I decided to do two cards this week, one for each digi sponsor, so that I could make sure both companies had a project featured for each image they were nice enough to give our DT to work with.

For this post, I am showing you my card using this cute Hot Cocoa image from Digi's By Phooka.

I love this Hot Cocoa image. It is so adorable! Of course, it makes me think Winter, so I had to do a Winter themed card. We still have quite a bit of snow left on the ground, so it is perfect weather for a mug of Hot Cocoa. I colored the image with my Promarkers. The snowflake DP and striped DP are both from my stash. I used 4mm silver flatback pearls from Pizazz Aplenty for embellishing. I finished the card off with a small piece of silver snowflake trim, attached with mini glue dots.

Is this cute or what?!

Give Me An Attitude, Because Anything Goes!

Whoo Hoo! It's 2011 and this is a super exciting day at Craft Your Passion! As you all hopefully know by now, our first challenge of the month is "Anything Goes" challenge! And we know how you all love those challenges! But, there is more big excitement....

For 2011, Passion will be having sponsors, so you will get chances to win awesome prizes from some fabulous companies like Aplenty, Letraset many more! Whoo Hoo! How awesome is that?!

Here is even more big news! Starting with this challenge, the first week of every month is our "Anything Goes" challenge, and these weeks will feature multiple sponsors! That's right! You will have a chance to win prizes from at least two companies, in our Anything Goes challenges! If you haven't yet become a follower, you might want to do that so that you don't miss out! We have some wonderful goodies lined up to give away!

This week, our theme is "Anything Goes," and we have three awesome sponsors for you, today! We are being sponsored by the wonderful Judy, from Pizazz Aplenty, and she's giving our winner a yummy package of goodies from her store! If you love cutesy, these are right up your alley!

Now that I have rambled on for what seems like forever, and practically written a book, let me tell you about my card.

I have done two cards for this challenge, because I want to make sure all images that the sponsors provided to us, get some exposure. So, I've done one by Digi's By Phooka, and one from Digi's With Attitude, but will put them in separate posts.

This post, I am featuring my card with the Grumpy Gretchen Mechanic image, by Digi's With Attitude. I had so much fun creating with this image, and I couldn't help myself with the sentiment! LOL. I've colored Grumpy Gretchen with Promarkers. (she has some sparkle added, too, with my trusty clearstar gelly roll pen). The background paper reminds me of checkered flags, so I felt it was perfect for this image. I've used red Jezebel lace, and black Gabrielle lace from Pizzazz Aplenty. The 3mm clear rhinestones on her clothes and on the scalloped oval are also from Pizzazz Aplenty. I used black cardstock, and made lines to create a road, using a white primsacolor pencil. Then, I added a red button and a checkered flag button from the Start Your Engine series of Dress It Up Buttons. These are new- I bought them specifically to use on this card, because they are perfect for this image! The sentiment/quote is supposed to say, "If It Has Tires or Testicles, It's Going To Give You Trouble!. Unfortunately, I realized after I took the pic, that I made a typo. I have fixed it, but did not have time to take a new pic before my card went up. (Too much family stuff to day with the family yesterday and last night! Phew!) I punched the sentiment with the oval and scalloped oval punches, by Stampin Up, and attached it with foam mounting tape for dimension.

I made this card for my cousin who just broke up with her boyfriend and is making a "New beginning" by moving into her own place and being newly single again.
