Jingle Your Own Bells

I've done the Catch The Bug's 12 Days of Christmas out of order a little, but I'm almost finished with all 12 days! Yay! One more to go, after this one!

For Day 12, we were asked to make a project inspired by a Christmas song. Here is my day 12 project for the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. I chose the Christmas song, "Jingle Bell Rock" and used the non-traditional color combo of black, white and red.

I'm using sketch #144 at Inspirational Card Sketches for my card layout. I went with these fun musical papers and the Stella Stockings image from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored her with Promarkers and added texture and shine to the fur on her dress and hat, with white Perfect Pearls. The gorgeous red ribbon with gold metallic thread is from my stash. The sentiment says "Jingle Your Own Bells" and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. The sentiment and image are attached with foam mounting tape for extra dimension. I used a pretty, lacy silver doily on the card, as well. The doily is adorned with these cute gold jingle bells, attached with red and white baker's twine.

My project today uses Girl With Tulip by Mami Doodles. She's colored with Promarkers. I cut her out and pop dotted her over a folded die cut lace doily, then added some pearls, flowers and ribbon. I used the sketches at Creatalicious and Inspirational Card Sketches for my card layout. All papers are from my stash, as are the flowers and ribbon.

This is perfect for a get well card.

My card today was made especially for my friend, Eric, who lives in Florida. So it is inspired by Florida, summer and the beach. He's going to love it!

The sketches at Creatalicious and Inspirational Card Sketches were my layout inspirations. I've used three bright cheerful patterned papers, and a die cut lace doily. (Gottta love my spots and stripes!) All papers are scraps from my stash, as is the ribbon. The blue buttons are recycled from an old shirt I threw away when I cleaned the closet. If you look closely, you can see shimmer and sparkle on the doily - The doily is sprayed using Perfect Pearls shimmer spray. I love the look this spray gives and it's so much fun to play with. My image is by Stamp Insanity and is colored with Promarkers.

I colored the flower girl image with Promarkers, to match the papers, and placed a paper lace doily behind the image. The lovely lace trims are from my forgotten stash, as are the flowers and adhesive pearls. The ticket sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You, and is attached with Foam mounting tape, for dimension.
