All Tied Up On Your Birthday

I'm back, from vacation! Did you all miss my postings?! LOL!  Well, maybe you didn't, but I'm back, anyway! This time, I have a birthday card to show you.  This one is a bit on the sexy smexy side. I made this card for my  friend in Florida, who always appreciates my cards.  So, of course, I had to make a special card just for him.

For this card, I used the image, 50 Shades of Smexy, from The Stamping Chef, colored with Promarkers. I just love Tamara's images - She is so talented.  This image reminds me of the book, Fifty Shades of Grey, and seemed perfect for a male birthday card!  This also was my first attempt at doing a criss cross pocket card. I think it turned out pretty good for my first try!  I loved doing the fancy fold that made the  criss cross pocket! I used a mix of black and white patterned papers from my stash, with black tulle stretched across the front packet and tied in a not at the center. The center insert is my take on the sketches at Inky Impressions and Crafty Creations Challenge, but I have my lace across the bottom and side, rather than the top and side, like at Inky Impressions. (I used sexy  black lace) I used purple gemstones to add some bling, sparkle and shine. The sentiment is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches. I used black scalloped edge ribbon through a punched hole at the top of the insert, to make a ribbon loop for pulling the card insert out of the pocket. (Sorry you cant see the ribbon well, but I had a hard time getting a close up pic of the entire card, so most of the ribbon is cut off in the pic).

Best Friends Are As Crazy As You Are.....

It's Humor Me Wednesday at Catch The Bug, so some of us are celebrating those funny holidays and special occasions out there, or just the ones that most of us never knew existed.

I am celebrating Best Friend's Day, which is June 8 and is also my birthday! Yay! Happy Birthday to me!

In honor of my birthday, I used one of my favorite colors - Purple, to create this card! My card uses the image Make It Snappy - Friends, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I mixed patterns, using a combination of polka dots and stripes, with flowers and chevron mixed in!  I've used a blue chevron patterned button to embellish.

My card uses the image - Violet Flower Pot Pretty, by Lacy Sunshine, colored with Promarkers. I went with shades of purple, being that the image is named for Lilacs. All papers are from my stash. I just love the fun mix of patterns on this card - I think they are perfect with the layout I chose. I used a border punch by Martha Stewart to punch the border across the bottom of the card. The violet flower is by Recollections. I used the Martha Stewart branch punch, to punch the greenery around the flower and used a purple gemstone as the flower center. The same purple gemstones were used in a cluster of three, near the top right corner of the image. My sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with a scalloped circle punch by The Paper Studio.

Of course, I had to do a birthday card, and use one of my favorite color combinations! My card uses the image Edward Elephant - Present, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used sheer purple  ribbon and a handmade now, made with the same ribbon. A purple flower gemstone was used near the bottom left corner of the image. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Happy Birthday, Ewe!

Happy World Card Making Day, bloggers! Are you celebrating my crafting your booties off today?! I've been crafting all week, in honor of it, and got myself a head start! LOL

Today, we have a new challenge at Catch The Bug - This is everyone's favorite, and perfect for World Card Making Day! In honor of World Card Making Day, I've created a fancy Fold Card.  This is yet another version of pop up card.  You can see, in the first pic, that the card has a pull tab, which pops up the image.  Check out the second pic, with the image popped up after the tab is pulled.  So cool, isn't it?! I have to say, I absolutely LOVE the fold on this card.  I went with masculine colors because I made this for a male friend's birthday (He thought it was awesome, by the way!)  I used chevron printed washi tape, purple square gemstones and round purple gemstones. My card uses uses the image Make It Snappy - Birthday Ewe, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The sentiment is handwritten with a white opaque pen by Signo.

My card, today, features the image and sentiment, Calorie Creatures, plus the one cool chick sentiment, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with an interesting color combo of purple, white and yellow ~ And it actually turned out quite nice. The purple flowers are felt, with blingy gemstones for center.  I also used a chipboard butterfly embellishment.

What A Cute Little Dragon!

My card, today, features today's new release, Cute Dragon, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.
All papers are new to me, from a new tablet by Recollections. I just love these papers and colors together.  The border is punched with a border punch by Martha Stewart. I punched the flower with a flower punch by Recollections and used a recycled button threaded with twine, as the flower center. The sentiment is punched with the word window punch and matted with the modern label punch, by Stampin Up.  My card layout follows the sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy.

Turned out to be a really cute "Just Because" card.

Happy Holidays, Sexy!

It's hard to believe I'm having surgery next week, wow! It's going to be here before I know i! Hopefully, I will be feeling better in time to at least enjoy a Christmas dinner.

Speaking of Christmas, I have a new card to show you, today.  This one is for a male friend who lives in a warmer climate, so I thought the half wrapped girl would be a fun "presnt" for the front of his card! LOL

I went with masculine colors and frosty hues, to keep this a masculine card, using the image bow (Adult), by Kenny K, colored with Promarkers. For the card layout, I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The glittered ribbon is from American Crafts.  The silvery glittered snowflakes are from my stash. The upper right corner of the image has been accented with purple gemstones. I purchased these wintery papers from Archiver's, but can't remember the name of the manufacturer - sorry.  The sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Big Hats Make Your Butt Look Smaller

Wow, can you beleive its already Thursday at Catch The Bug?! And that means another Oldie but goodie day with images from Bugaboo Stamps.  I love thursdays because its our chance to showcase some of the older images and reintroduce you to more Bugaboo goodness!  Come over and check out Catch The Bug for lots of oldie but goodie inspiration!

My card uses the image and sentiment, Stella Red hats - Big Hats, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promakers.  I used beautiful purple tones, with touches of pink, pastel yellow and green.  I used both circle and oval punches on this card.  All ribbons are from my stash,  I used gemstone circles and purple gemstones to add sparkle and bling.  Afterall, you have to have bling, when you wear a big hat!  Besides, I'm thinking the bling might make our butts look smaller, too! LOL! The flowers are by prima, with a purple gemstone center.  The leaves beneath the flowers were punched with a punch by Martha Stewart. My card layout uses the sketch at Sketches by Carly.

I used the fun image, Skelekinz-Cupcake. I went crazy with distressing, with this project, too! I got a Diztrezz-It-All (by Zutter) from Santa, and just had to use it! Wow, I can't tell you how much easier distressing is, with this little baby! I also used a battery operated hand held battery operated distressing tool by Imaginesce, to distress the fine scallops on the scalloped circle. After distressing my papers, the edges were inked with distressing ink pads. The image is colored with Promarkers. The papers are all scraps from my scrap box. (Gotta love scraps!) The flowers are from my stash, and branches punched with the branch punch by Martha Stewart. The butterfly is also from my stash. Sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You. The image and sentiment are attached with foam mounting tape for dimension.

Little Flower Girl

My card layout uses the sketch at Sketch N Stash. The papers are scraps from my stash and are from Bearly Mine Designs. I colored the flower girl image with Promarkers, to match the papers, and placed a paper lace doily behind the image. The lovely lace trims are from my forgotten stash, as are the flowers and adhesive pearls. The ticket sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You, and is attached with Foam mounting tape, for dimension.

I am so so excited to have been chosen to be a part of this team, and to show you my first card for Digi's With Attitude!

I chose the Digi's With Attitude! image, Rockband Tween. I've colored her with Promarkers and went with a purple, black and white color combo. This funky card uses the sketches at The Pink Elephant, Stamp With Fun and Sketch and Stash. I chose a fabulous purple and white animal print paper and paired it with a gorgeous purple paper, embossed with crocodile pattern. The purple ribbon across the crocodile paper is actually lavendar with black stripes along the edge, though you can't see it real well in the pic. I found this in the dollar bin at Joann's! Whooo Hoo, can you say Bargain?! This fabulous sentiment, Too Hot To Handle, is from Digi's With Attitude! sentiment set 1 and is pop dotted for dimension. The flower is from Recollections. I colored it with my Promarkers, in Orchid, to give it the color I wanted, then added glitter and sparkle using a clearstar gelly roll pen. I used the pen, also to add glitter and sparkle to the image. I found this fabulous black ruffled trim at Hobby Lobby and thought it was perfect for this card, so I had to have it! The beaded purple and silver stick pin in the flower is handmade by me. I used old beads from a broken necklace, for the pin.

I had such a blast making this card and love how it turned out! I hope you love it as much as I do!

Happy Mother's Day

Are you ready for a new challenge? This fortnight, we are celebrating Mother's Day at Ooh La La. Come on over and show us how you celebrate mom. If you play along with us, you could win some fabulous products!

I admit, I had a hard time with this project. I lost my mom last year around Mother's Day, after numerous hospital stays. It was so hard on all of us and it is so hard to believe she is gone.

Anyway, I apologize, in advance, for the fact this card certainly isn't one of my best.

For my project, I've created a card using all digi papers and elements from ooh La La Creation's new "All Dressed Up" CD. This CD has tons of wonderful papers and fashion related images. There's also a section called The Flower Shop, which is where this particular selection is from. You can get this CD here.

For the layout, I used the sketch at Sew many Challenges. I went with shades of purple and blue this time. As you know, if you visit my blog often, I love purple. This paper is gorgeous and I couldn't wait to use it once I seen it on the new CD. The circular sentiment and the image are both attached using foam tape, for dimension.

Let's Get Funky, My Purple Baby!

Wow! We had an awesome number of players in our Anything Goes challenge last week! It was so much fun to hop around and visit everyone's blogs! We really appreciate all the participation!

It is Monday, and that means time for a new challenge! This week, we have a fun sketch for you to play with! Come on over and join us at Craft Your Passion, and show us your doubles! You could win an image of your choice from CocoDingo and Lauretta's Digital Stamps. While you're there, check out the creative inspiration of the rest of the design team. They're all talented ladies and they have some beautiful creations to show you!

For my card, I have chose to use this fun image by Lauretta's Digital Stamps. There is something that I love about this image, though I can't quite put my finger on what it is about it, that intrigues me. I wanted to be outside the box, this time, and go with some funky colors for her hair and lips. She's colored with Promarkers. Isn't she just the most beautiful purple haired lady?! I used some funky purple paper by Paperabilities that I found in a stack on clearance last year at Walmart and hadn't ever used it. It seemed perfect for this funky purple lady! The metallic purple cardstock is also from Walmart. The loops are made of sheer lavender ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is by Stampin Up, from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, and is punched using oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up! I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add sparkle and glitter to her hair and to the background paper.
