Cindy Boo Cupcake Shows Off in Pink and Grey

It's time for a new challenge, again, at Lacy Sunshine! Are you ready?! We have a fun one for you this fortnight - We want to see you create a project using one of your favorite color combos! Sound easy?! Sure it does, so come play along with us in our challenge! You could be one of our winners! My card uses the image Cindy Boo's Cupcake, from Lacy Sunshine Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with one of my favorite color combos - Pink and gray. I just love these two colors together, don't you?! I used only scraps of patterned papers from my stash. Alongside each side of the center panel, I used pale pink ribbon with gold thread running through it, as well as a handmade bow in the bottom left corner of the image, using the same pretty ribbon. I used some textured gemstones from Hobby Lobby, in sets of 3, at the top, left and right of the image. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches.

Bake Me a Tower of Cupcakes For My Birthday

I have a birthday card to show you, today, using this week's Freebie Friday image, Cupcake Tower, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. My card layout uses the sketch at Sunday Sketch and Stamp. This is one of my favorite sketches because it includes a banner and I love them but don;t think to use them as often as I would like. I made a fun banner to hang across the top left corner, using washi tape and twine. I think it makes a great touch! The rest of the card has been embellished with tiny blue pearls that I just got from Santa at Christmas. I even put a pearl in the center of the O in the word YOU of the sentiment! Cute, right?! All papers are from my stash.

This card turned out to be perfect for a guy, too! Cant believe I managed to make another male card, again, already!

Happy Birthday Bugaboo! Let's Hop!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY TO BUGABOO Whoo Hoo! How awesome is that?!I hope you're ready for some fun because we are going to party!

I hope you're having a blast along the way! Hang in there, I know its a long one, but totally worth it! You should have arrived here from Angel's Blog. If you didn't, You don't want to miss out! You will want to start over at the Catch The Bug blog, here.

So, to celebrate Bugaboo’s 2^nd Birthday, not only are we doing this fun blog hop, but we’ve got a great Birthday Themed challenge for you today!

Here is my card for today's fabulous Birthday Challenge:

I used the fun image, Skelekinz-Cupcake. I went crazy with distressing, with this project, too! I got a Diztrezz-It-All (by Zutter) from Santa, and just had to use it! Wow, I can't tell you how much easier distressing is, with this little baby! I also used a battery operated hand held battery operated distressing tool by Imaginesce, to distress the fine scallops on the scalloped circle. After distressing my papers, the edges were inked with distressing ink pads. The image is colored with Promarkers. The papers are all scraps from my scrap box. (Gotta love scraps!) The flowers are from my stash, and branches punched with the branch punch by Martha Stewart. The butterfly is also from my stash. Sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You. The image and sentiment are attached with foam mounting tape for dimension.
