Now, let me tell you about my card.  I've used an image and sentiment from the March 2016 Sentiment kit, titled, Sometimes I Wonder. All papers are from my stash.  I've used Promarkers for my coloring. The card has embellished with Gray pearls and a sheer gray handmade bow.

Keep The Wild In You

I'm so saddened to say this is my last day as a Growing In Unity girl, for Unity Stamp Company.  I've had such a blast and I wish it didn't have to end! (I wonder if I wrote a letter to Santa, wishing for a spot on the Unity DT, if he'd be kind enough to help me out?! Doesn't hurt to try, right?!)

I cannot say enough about Unity Stamp Company.  Their stamp quality and customer service is fabulous!  Each order you place, is made just for you. You don't find many companies that cook your order just for you. Whitney's husband, Nick, also makes custom name stamps, for use on the backs of your cards - With the Same great Unity quality!  If you haven't given Unity a chance yet, please check them out and support this family owned business that prides itself on quality!

Today's card, is my favorite, by far. I went out of my comfort zone and made my own background, to bring out my "wild side!" I created the background by using alcohol inks on glossy cardstock. Then, I stamped on the background panel, in black with stamps from the Keep Wild set by Unity Stamp Company. I used the Amalgam ink, from Gina K, for my stamping. (LOVE this ink, by the way!)  The sentiment, from the same set, has been mounted on black and fussy cut. I wanted to do something different with the sentiment and make it stand out - Cuz, like, I'm trying to get wild, right?! I tore up some gauze I had in my First aid Kit, inked it up with the Gina K ink and placed it between the pink panel and the alcohol ink panel. I was trying to add a "wild" element, to go with the card theme.  I have to say, it was my first time using gauze on a card, But, I think I rather like it!

Sympathy With A Feathered Friend

Yippee, here I am, again! I hope you aren't getting tired of me, yet! I'm here with another project for you - Day 3 of My Growing in Unity Week, with Unity Stamp Company! Today, I have a sympathy card to show you.  If you're like me, you always struggle with making sympathy cards.  Usually, my go to stamped images are flowers, for sympathy cards... But, I got to thinking - How about using a stamped image that is more cheerful, so I cam up with this, and, I think it turned out nicely - Hopefully it will help comfort the recipient.

Today's card uses the bird from the Sometimes I Wonder (March 2016) sentiment kit, from Unity Stamp Company The sentiment is also from Unity Stamp Company, but it came in a grab bag, so I'm not sure which set it is from. By the way, did you know that Unity releases a new sentiment kit each month?! How cool is that?! Most sentiment kits also have an image or two in them, as well.  Be sure you check out the sentiment kits at Unity, they're awesome!

Anyway, back to the card details. I've colored the bird with Promarkers.  All papers are from my stash.  I went with a clean simple look today, too, being its a sympathy card - Therefore, I feel it shouldnt' be all sparkly and busy.

Fluttering By To Say Thank You

Woot! I am here, today, with some awesome news! I've been accepted as part of the design team for Crafts Galore Encore! I've been out of the design team world, for awhile, due to having been taking care of my husband for the past several months.  I'm thrilled to be back, though, and so happy to have been accepted into a team that is super nice! Now that's out of the way, let's talk about my card!

For my card today, I've used the Marigolds and Morpho Digi set, from Fred She Said. Even though they're Marigolds, I went with colors that tickled my fancy, when coloring.  The images were colored with Promarkers. The "wild"  black and white paper is from my stash. I think it makes for a "wildly striking effect, with this image and colors I chose. I fussy cute all the images and I just love the way they turned out.  The butterflies were attached with foam tape, for added dimension.  I chose a beautiful silver and black ribbon to make a handmade bow, for embellishing the top of the frame.  Black pearls were added in the top left corner. It's difficult to see in the phot, but I used a clear star gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the center butterfly.

Fairy Wishes

It's challenge time, at Hobbycutz and we have a fun one for you, today! This round, our challenge is all about Fairies! Get your fairy on and show us what you got! We'd love to see your Fairy creation! Remember, our challenges last for two weeks, so that gives you plenty of time to play along and maybe even win a prize!

My card uses the image Pip, from A and  T Digital Stamps. All papers are from my stash. I used blue gemstones to embellish all the layers. The branch and butterfly are woodcuts from Hobbycutz. I painted them with Twinkling H20's. The butterfly is two different butterflies, double stacked. I used a solid cut butterfly, covered with patterned paper and fussy cut, then stacked another, fancier butterly, on top and added gemstones to the center.

My card is to celebrate, Do Something Nice Day.  Aww such a sweet occasion, too, isn't it?

I've used the image, Stella - Rocking Chair, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  All papers were from my stash.  I used this cute butterfly ribbon, as well as a handmade butterfly embellishment. (Yes, I made it, myself!) Sparkle was added with glittered flowers and gemstone centers. Pearls were added, for the finishing touch.

Good Morning, everyone! Welcome to Oldie But A Goodie Thursday, for Bugaboo Stamps. Don;t you just love seeing the DT bring some of the older images back into the spotlight? You do?! Well, great then head over to Catch The Bug to see lots more than just mine!

I have an ATC to show to you, today.  If you are not familiar with them, they are Artist Trading Cards (ATC's). 3 x 5 cards that you decorate with any media, like you would a card.  This one was made to trade at Stampaway in Cincinnati.

My ATC uses the image and sentment set, Cute Bee - Flower, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. THe wings on teh image have been glittered with a clearstar gelly roll pen.  I used green gemstones, new to my stash, to embellish.  The flower center is done with Flower Soft.

Sail Away with Clyde

Hi  everyone! Today is Tuesday, so that means new release day at Bugaboo Stamps! Are you ready for new cuties?! I hope you said yes, because we surely do have some new cuties for you! There's lots of creative goodness to show off one of one of the new images - Clyde Hot Air Balloon, over at Catch The Bug, so go check out the wonderful creations from the rest of the DT! You're going to love them!

Here's my card, featuring one of today's new release images, Clyde Hot Air Balloon, from Bugaboo Stamps. Clyde is flying up up and away, today - Is he coming to visit YOU? He's colored with Promarkers. I paper pieced the hot air balloon and the basket he's riding in.  All papers are by Recollections and are from my stash. I doodled two clouds by hand and cut them out, then outlined them with Promarkers and blended them, then matted them with an aqua colored paper. The image is attached with foam mounting tape for dimension, so he'll look like he's sailing through the clouds.

The Calories Are Sewing My Clothes Tight!

My card, today, features the image and sentiment, Calorie Creatures, plus the one cool chick sentiment, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with an interesting color combo of purple, white and yellow ~ And it actually turned out quite nice. The purple flowers are felt, with blingy gemstones for center.  I also used a chipboard butterfly embellishment.

Hey Hey! So glad you floated by today, to visit!  Now that you're here, let me tell you about a new challenge at Catch The Bug! My card today uses the image, Summer Duck-Floaty, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash.  I just love the mix of polka dots and stripes together with the beach paper! Such a summery feel, isn't it?! The cute little whale is a punch my Martha Stewart, matted with a punched circle.  The felt flowers with diamond/gemstone centers are a new find, from the dollar bin at Michael's.  Recycling is always on my mind, of course, so I added three recycled buttons from old clothing that had been thrown out. I've used the sketch at Alota Rubber Stamps, for my card layout. The  whale and the image are mounted with foam mounting tape, for added dimension.  I used ribbon from my stash, that came from the dollar bin at Target last summer.

My card uses the image Bees - Flower from Bugaboo Stamps, and colored with Promarkers.  I used a clear glaze pen to add shine to the wings.  The papers are all from my stash, as are the gemstone flourishes.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.  I made a penant/bunting pieces to attach on one side if the image.  This was made with my new penant punch maker by Ephinany Crafts.  The Epoxy shapes for these are perfect for making your own embellishments!

Let's Create A Garden Scene

Bugaboo Stamps Is In The House, Again! This time, sponsoring Stamptacular Sunday, and with a fun theme! The theme is "In The Garden." Perfect theme for this time of year, don't you think?! The weather has been so beautiful here in the states and everyone is out enjoying the weather planting gardens, both flowers and veggies!  You should have no problem playing in this challenge! My card today features the image Flower Garden, from Bugaboo Stamps. I used all papers from my stash.  The clouds are hand drawn and cut out of blue and white patterned paper.  Once cut out, I sponged around the edges with a darker blue ink and attached them with foam mounting tape, for dimension and a floating effect. This card was made especially for the social worker at work is retiring at the end of the month at the age of 70!  I think she's going to love this card!

Raggedy Nurse Name Badge Holder

Hey hey hey! It's ABC Monday at Catch The Bug and it's my turn to show you Anything But A Card! I wanted to try something new- Making embellishments with Shrink Plastic. Today, I have this cute name badge holder to show you. I made this name badge/time card holder for a co-worker to celebrate Nurse's Week.  I figured it would be cute to wear on her uniform at work.  The image is Raggedy Nurse, by Bugaboo Stamps and is colored with Promarkers.  I printed the image on white shrink plastic, cut her out then shrunk her down to make this cutie.  Then I attached her to my badge clip with E6000 adhesive.  She's going to be a big hit! (Tip: You can use shrink plastic to make your own embellishments like this one, to use on cards and other crafting goodies!)

Spread Your Wings

My apologies for being late getting my post up.  Hubby and I went out to dinner and things last night and I didn't get it done before we went to bed.  Set the alarm to get up and get it done this morning before it went live and hubby turned the alarm off before I heard it - So I overlspet!

Anyway, here I am and.....

Here we are, with a new challenges at Catch The Bug! Our theme, this week, is "Things With Wings."  This one is always fun! I love working with winged images for some reason, so I had a blast with this one!  If you like things with wings, play along with us and take a chance at winning some awesome images from Bugaboo Stamps!

My project uses the image, Bugaboo Brats bugs - Girl ladybug, from Bugaboo Stamps. I used the sketch from Sassy Studio Designs as my card layout.  The paper lace doily is from my stash.  I cut it in half, then used ribbon and diamond stars for embellishing.  I've colored the image with Promarkers, and accented the matting with silver pearls. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and punched with circle punches. The purple panel is embossed with swirls, using the Cuttblebug. I sponged around the image, to make less white space.

I made this card for a friend, to give her stepmom for Mother's Day.

My project uses the Sketch at Creative Craft Challenges and this week's Freebie Friday image - Butterfly, by Bugaboo Stamps. I've colored the image with Promarkers. All papers are scraps from my stash. I used a chipboard Spring Die cut and some other chipboard pieces, for embellishments. I admit, I don't use chipboard very often and I have to say - I'm not sure I like it nor am I overly impressed with it. LOL Oh well, live and learn, right?
