Now, let me tell you about my card.  I've used an image and sentiment from the March 2016 Sentiment kit, titled, Sometimes I Wonder. All papers are from my stash.  I've used Promarkers for my coloring. The card has embellished with Gray pearls and a sheer gray handmade bow.

Keep The Wild In You

I'm so saddened to say this is my last day as a Growing In Unity girl, for Unity Stamp Company.  I've had such a blast and I wish it didn't have to end! (I wonder if I wrote a letter to Santa, wishing for a spot on the Unity DT, if he'd be kind enough to help me out?! Doesn't hurt to try, right?!)

I cannot say enough about Unity Stamp Company.  Their stamp quality and customer service is fabulous!  Each order you place, is made just for you. You don't find many companies that cook your order just for you. Whitney's husband, Nick, also makes custom name stamps, for use on the backs of your cards - With the Same great Unity quality!  If you haven't given Unity a chance yet, please check them out and support this family owned business that prides itself on quality!

Today's card, is my favorite, by far. I went out of my comfort zone and made my own background, to bring out my "wild side!" I created the background by using alcohol inks on glossy cardstock. Then, I stamped on the background panel, in black with stamps from the Keep Wild set by Unity Stamp Company. I used the Amalgam ink, from Gina K, for my stamping. (LOVE this ink, by the way!)  The sentiment, from the same set, has been mounted on black and fussy cut. I wanted to do something different with the sentiment and make it stand out - Cuz, like, I'm trying to get wild, right?! I tore up some gauze I had in my First aid Kit, inked it up with the Gina K ink and placed it between the pink panel and the alcohol ink panel. I was trying to add a "wild" element, to go with the card theme.  I have to say, it was my first time using gauze on a card, But, I think I rather like it!

Fluttering By To Say Thank You

Woot! I am here, today, with some awesome news! I've been accepted as part of the design team for Crafts Galore Encore! I've been out of the design team world, for awhile, due to having been taking care of my husband for the past several months.  I'm thrilled to be back, though, and so happy to have been accepted into a team that is super nice! Thank you, Crafts Galore Encore, for allowing me to join you!

Now that's out of the way, let's talk about my card!

For my card today, I've used the Marigolds and Morpho Digi set, from Fred She Said. Even though they're Marigolds, I went with colors that tickled my fancy, when coloring.  The images were colored with Promarkers. The "wild"  black and white paper is from my stash. I think it makes for a "wildly striking effect, with this image and colors I chose. I fussy cute all the images and I just love the way they turned out.  The butterflies were attached with foam tape, for added dimension.  I chose a beautiful silver and black ribbon to make a handmade bow, for embellishing the top of the frame.  Black pearls were added in the top left corner. It's difficult to see in the phot, but I used a clear star gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the center butterfly.

Celebrate Summer

Hi everyone! Under The Weather?

Happy Saturday!

Are you ready for a new challenge, today, at Catch The Bug?! You'd better be, because its that time, again! We had a huge amount of entries, last week, so hopefully we'll have just as many this week! I'm sure you're anxious to hear about this week's theme, though, aren't you? Since there are a lot of activities going on, right now, to raise breast cancer awareness, how about a theme that goes hand in hand with it? Our theme, this week, is "Think Pink." Of course, your project doesn't have to have a breast cancer theme - It can be anything that has the color pink. Easy enough, right?  Come link up with us - We can't wait to see what you create! There are lots of digi prize packages up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps, to be won, so hurry and play along with us, for your chance to win!

I went with a get well card that could be used for anyone going through breast cancer, a child in the hospital, or just someone feeling a little under the weather. Its perfect to cheer up anyone who's feeling poorly!  My card uses the image AKV Doctor - Get Better Soon, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. This fun glittered background is sure to cheer someone up! I used a strip of pink and white washi tape across the center panel. Two blue flowers with pearl centers help set ff the center panel.  I've used a pink butterfly with added glitter, in the top right corner. I used a clearstar gelly roll pen on the doctor's hammer to add some shine.

The Calories Are Sewing My Clothes Tight!

My card, today, features the image and sentiment, Calorie Creatures, plus the one cool chick sentiment, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with an interesting color combo of purple, white and yellow ~ And it actually turned out quite nice. The purple flowers are felt, with blingy gemstones for center.  I also used a chipboard butterfly embellishment.

Here we are, folks, with another challenge and featured image, at Shelly's Images! Our theme this time is, "It's all about the blingage," so bust out your bling and show us how you shine!  We can't wait to see what you create!

Today's featured image is Buterfly set, available today only, HERE, for a special price, in the Shelly's Images Store.

My project today uses the image set, Butterfly set, by Shelly's Images.  This gorgeous image is colored with Promarkers.  All papers are from my stash, as are the silver buttons and the diamonds/gemstones. Who doesn't love bling, right?! I used red baker's twine in the buttons. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.  My card layout uses the sketch at Alota Rubber Stamps. The red and white striped ribbon is by Stampin Up.

Ice Cream Fun In The Sun

Hello, everyone! I have a new card to show you, today!  Crafty Sentiments is offering their newest Harriet image for free, right now, if you use it in their current challenge!  I just couldn't resist this little cutie, and just had to request her so I could play along. I don't think she is even in the store yet! Isn't she adorable?! This is my first Crafty Sentiments image and I love her so I will definitely have to start buying some of their images!
I've used the sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy, for my card layout. All papers are from my stash.  I love the polka dots on this! I think it really makes things stand out. This is the perfect card for summer, since Hariet is eating ice cream! Who doesn't think of ice cream when they think of summer!  I've use some green and metallic silver ribbon tied in a bow, to accent the image.  Purple pearls were used to set off the upper right and lower left corners of the card.  The purple butterfly above the image is also perfect for the summer theme, isn't it?

You Give Me Butterflies

Good Morning!

My apologies on this post being updated late.  We've had storms all night and my internet connection has been atrocious! Phew! Let's hope it stays up long enough, this time, for me to finish the post.

Today I have this cute new butterfly card to show you.  I love how this one turned out.  I used an image from Shelly's Images.  This is something new, for me.  I wanted to try a black and white card, with pops of color in the image.  I think it turned out beautiful! What do you think? I love butterflies and they always remind me of summer.

The papers are from my stash.  I used black pearls to accent two corner.  Sparkle and shine were added by using two think pieces of white glittery ribbon.  The black butterfly finishes it off with just the right touch.
