What A Bundle of Joy

Today starts our Sunshine and Smiles Challenge at Catch The Bug! Get out your crafty supplies and create something to link up with us, for your chance to win! it could be anything - As long as its something that brings you, or others, sunshine and smiles!

I love children, so thats one thing that brings me sunshine and smiles, regardless of the weather or the season. So, Im approaching this challenge from this unique angle! My card uses the image, Wee One Fairy - Look Back, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  All papers are scraps from my stash. Oh and, Who doesn't love sparkle, right?! Little gemstone footprints and handprints have been used to embellish and add sparkle and shine.  The wings have been given some glittery shine with a Clearstar Gelly Roll Pen. I used pink and white gingham ribbon to add a handmade bow as the finishing touch to this card. The sentiment is punched using circle and scalloped circle punches.

I have a friendship card to show you, this time. My card uses the image and sentiment, Chocolate, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  All papers are from my stash. I went with mostly shades of brown, in honor of chocolate, but added a touch of pink. Pink heart shaped gemstones, in two sizes, were used on each side of the image.

I went with a sympathy card, this time.  I've used the image, Theodore - Flowers, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. I used pink ribbon across the top and bottom panels. Black pearls were used on the ribbon and in each corner of the ribbon.  The sentiments were punched with both oval and circle punches.

Under The Weather?

I'm sure you're anxious to hear about this week's theme, though, aren't you? Since there are a lot of activities going on, right now, to raise breast cancer awareness, how about a theme that goes hand in hand with it? Our theme, this week, is "Think Pink." Of course, your project doesn't have to have a breast cancer theme - It can be anything that has the color pink. Easy enough, right?  Come link up with us - We can't wait to see what you create! There are lots of digi prize packages up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps, to be won, so hurry and play along with us, for your chance to win!

I went with a get well card that could be used for anyone going through breast cancer, a child in the hospital, or just someone feeling a little under the weather. Its perfect to cheer up anyone who's feeling poorly!  My card uses the image AKV Doctor - Get Better Soon, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. This fun glittered background is sure to cheer someone up! I used a strip of pink and white washi tape across the center panel. Two blue flowers with pearl centers help set ff the center panel.  I've used a pink butterfly with added glitter, in the top right corner. I used a clearstar gelly roll pen on the doctor's hammer to add some shine.

Come Here Lil Piggie

Happy Saturday, everyone! Welcome to a new challenge at Catch The Bug! Are you ready to play along with us? How about playing with pastels this week? That's right, our challenge this week is to make a project using pastel colors. Easy, right? Remember, the prizes are prize packs of digi images from Bugaboo Stamps. A great prize, for sure, so come over and link up your creation with us for your chance to win!

For my project, today, I made this cutie patootie altered drink cup in monochromatic pastel pink.  I've used the image Pig - Flower, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The polka dot and chevron papers are from my stash. It's difficult to see in the pic, but I used nesting flower punches by Recollections to make little paper flowers to add all around the cup.  I think it came out really cute!

My card, today, features the image, JJ Block - Bras Are Like Friends, from Bugaboo Stamps. colored with Promarkers. I used a fun embossing folder to emboss dots all over the pink cardstock.  Pearls and buttons were used to embellish the card.  The buttons are recycled from an old shirt I threw away when cleaning out closets.

My card today is done in one of my favorite color combos. Pink, white and black. This card was created strictly from items from my stash. Nothing was bought new, for creating this card. I'm going to be sad when this polka dotted paper is finally gone, since I absolutely love polka dots! (Well, on cards, anyway, but I hate wearing them! LOL!) The pink adhesive pearls in the corners seemed to be a perfect touch. The image is cut out and embossed using nestablities and colored with Promarkers. The pink flowers are by Martha Stewart. I've used a Martha Stewart punch to make leaves for accenting the flowers. This card had to have some sparkle, too, so that is where the glittered ribbon comes in!

Ribbon Weave A Happy Birthday, Twinchie Style!

Remember that ribbon weaved twinchie I made for Technique Tuesday, using ribbon scraps, at Shelly's Images, earlier this week? I promised to show you a card that I made using the twinchie, and today is the day.

I've used the sketches from Happileigh Scrappin' and at Priscilla's Styles. for my card layout. The Happy Birthday and Make A Wish graphic sentiments are from Shelly's Images. Shelly gave these away earlier in the year, as freebie, for her big First Birthday Celebration. I used Promarkers to color in the balloons and cupcake, and add color to the text. The twinchie in the center is made with ribbon weaving using two patterned ribbons from my stash. (See above, for link to the tutorial on how to make your own ribbon weaved twinchie). The flowers are from recollections. Punched greenery made with a punch by Martha Stewart. I've used foam mounting tape to attach the sentiments, for dimension and 3D effect. These pretty pastel papers are also from my stash.

Sweet Baby

It's time for my weekly card for Stamping Dragon Designs. This time, I decided to go with a baby card for a co-worker who just became a grandma, again. This image is from Stamping Dragon Designs and is called Nap Time. I just love the sweetness of this image.

For my card layout, I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning. The papers are all from my stash. The paper flowers are by Flor-A-Doodle, and came from the clearance rack at Meijer. I just bought these cute pink safety pins at Card and Party Outlet and thought they would be perfect for a baby card.

I've used this image before, but decided to use it, again, because it is one of my favorites from Deedee's Digis. It's perfect for an encouragement card, and also reminds me of the end of summer.

For the card layout, I used the sketch at Deedee's Digis. I decided to go with mostly pinks for the card, because they fit well with the summery image. The papers and butterfly brad are all from my stash. The paper flowers are by Flor-A-Doodle.

In The Pink, Baby

I haven't made a baby card in awhile, and I've been in the mood for pink, girlie and gingham, lately. All that resulted in a pink monochromatic card. I will have to edit the post a little later, with the name of the designer of this cute baby digi stamp. I printed this out awhile back and forgot to write the designer's name on the back, so I'll have to go through my files and find the creater's name. The image is colored with Promarkers.

The gingham paper, pink ribbon and cardstock for the card are from my stash. I used the sketch at One Stitch At A Time, for my card layout. Sometimes I just love the clean & simple look. The sentiment is from the Stampin Up set, Teeny Tiny Wishes. I punched it out with the oval and scalloped oval punches, also from Stampin up. The sentiment is pop dotted for a 3D effect.

In The Pink With Lexi's Creations!

Whoo Hoo! I'm Guest Designer at Lexi's Creations for their current challenge! I was able to choose the image for my card, and I chose this cutie. Her name is Melissa and she can be found in Lexi's Creations store, here. She's so cute and girly and she's doing one of my favorite things--Shopping! Lexi has so many cute images in her store. For the card layout, I used last week's sketch at Catch The Bug. I realized after I created the card, that the sketch challenge would be over by the time I posted my card--Opposie! LOL)

I decided to go with a pink girly color scheme, with touches of yellow and peach These are wonderful summery colors, too! The image was colored with Promarkers. I used four different background papers, all from my stash, The plaid background paper has squares, and I embellished with the little acrylic circles called skittles that I dyed myself with alcohol inks. The skittles provide texture. Hopefully this card qualifies as having squares and circles, for the challenge at Crafty Angels.

I love the image and the sketch I used. This was such a fun card to make. It reminds me of how Carrie Bradshaw loves to shop in the movie Sex & The City 2. (Can you tell I just recently seen that movie?!) Shopping is one of the best things in life and a great way to celebrate anything!

EDIT: I was told that my card doesn't fit one of the challenges that I entered it into.... yet the inspiration photo has pink in it. Hmm Makes no sens to me :)

I have been on a roll, lately with card making! It's so fun and relaxing for me. My aunt has been spending some time with us over the last week, and she doesn't sleep well at night... So she likes to sit and watch me make cards at the kitchen table. That means I have to do my part to keep her entertained!

This cute little image is from Dustin Pike. He is so cute! I even decorated the inside of the Card! The purple background was originally white paper, which I embossed with the little hearts cuttlebug folder (The one that comes in the love language set). Then, I sprayed the white cardstock with Glimmer mist for a light sparkly effect. The purple glitter paper is specialty paper from Hobby Lobby. I bought this on impulse, because purple is my favorite color, and had this in my stash, saving it until an idea struck me. The heart's are punched with a punch by Martha Stewart. Pink ribbon is from my stash. The heart on the Dragon's Box, and the sentiment are both pop dotted to stand out. Pink & Purple is one of my favorite color combos.
