Happy Birthday, Ewe!

Happy World Card Making Day, bloggers! Are you celebrating my crafting your booties off today?! I've been crafting all week, in honor of it, and got myself a head start! LOL

Today, we have a new challenge at Catch The Bug - This is everyone's favorite, and perfect for World Card Making Day! Our challenge them is Anything Goes! *Applause* I know, I know - Everyone loves it. So do I!  Of course, as usual, there are great prizes up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps, so come over to Catch The Bug and link up with us in our Anything Goes challenge, in honor of World Card Making Day!  You are welcome to link up any project - It doesn't have to be a card - So get crafting!

In honor of World Card Making Day, I've created a fancy Fold Card.  This is yet another version of pop up card.  You can see, in the first pic, that the card has a pull tab, which pops up the image.  Check out the second pic, with the image popped up after the tab is pulled.  So cool, isn't it?! I have to say, I absolutely LOVE the fold on this card.  I went with masculine colors because I made this for a male friend's birthday (He thought it was awesome, by the way!)  I used chevron printed washi tape, purple square gemstones and round purple gemstones. My card uses uses the image Make It Snappy - Birthday Ewe, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The sentiment is handwritten with a white opaque pen by Signo.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Baby Girl Teepee Card

Hey folks! Today is the start of a new challenge over at Catch The Bug!  This week's saturday challenge is one of everyone's favorites..... Bingo! Bingo challenges are sooo much fun and, of course, there are chances to win fabulous prizes from Bugaboo Stamps, so be sure you come by and check out our Bingo board!

Today I have created for you a fancy fold card - This one is a teepee card.  Isn't it adorable? I made it for a friend who just had a baby.  This card is 3D freestanding so mommy can put it in the baby's room as part of the decor, if she chooses.  The card folds flat for mailing, but opens up into a teepee and closes with velcro.  Very cool, isn't it? For today's card, I've used the image Moon Baby - Swing, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I've cut out the image usinf fussy cutting. I used some 3D puffy stickers to embellish the card.  Glitter and sparkle has been added to the moon, on the image, with a clearstar gelly roll pen.

My card creates this Bingo:  Sparkle, Bugaboo Image, Player's Choice: Sentiment.

Let It All Hang Out

Whoo Hoo! Are you ready to Let It All Hang Out, with Craft Your Passion?! The DT had the opportunity to work with some fabulous images by our sponsor, KennyK, this week, and we're all letting it all hang out, in one way or another!

We want you all to come over and join is in this week's challenge, "Let It All Hang Out." There are so many fun ways to incorporate this theme into your creations! You could use an image, that has something hanging out. Or hang a charm on your card or project. Even something hanging over the edge of your card! (Like in my card, above). Be creative, play along with us at Craft Your Passion this week, and show us how YOU "Let It All Hang Out!" You could win some awesome digi's from KennyK!

For my card today, I used this sexy Maggie Mayhem Digi, from KennyK. She is definitly letting it all hang out! I love KennyK's sexy sassy images! They are fabulous, and so much fun to create with! I've colored this sexy little vixen with Promarkers. I'm trying to perfect the coloring of Black hair, to get a look that I really like, and I'm pretty happy with this one. I used a dark grey and a fine line 0.3 Letraset marker, for her hair. I wanted to give it a special look, since her hair is blowing in the wind. Not sure I managed to get the effect I want, but I like how it turned out. Ive used a combination of two fabulous papers... The purple and white animal print, and the purple embossed crocodile patterned paper. (It has checks on it if you enlarge the pic) I love love love these two together! Of course, I had to add some lace to this sexy sassy lady. The lace, ribbon and rhinestones are all from my stash. I added glitter and sparkle to the image with a clearstar gelly roll pen. The wings are hanging over the edge of the card just slightly. The rhinestones and irridescent wings are from Pizzazz Aplenty. I beleive my card this week definitely "Lets It All Hang Out!" The image is mounted with foam mounting tape for Dimension and Pop Up effect.

Anything Goes for The End of The Term

Iris' Spot has a fun new challenge for you, today! Anything Goes! Whoo Hoo! I know everyone loves this kind of challenge! You can make anything you want! Anything at all! How cool is that?! We can't wait to see what you come up with for this one! The challenge at Iris' Spot is being sponsored by the oh so cool Stef Hughes of Glitterbabe's Digis! Hurry over to Iris' Spot and play along for your chance to win a fabulous digi prize!

Wow! Time has flown by and its already the end of my term for the DT at Iris' Spot. I've had so much fun working with this spunky little lady! I'm sad to be posting my last DT card, but I know she'll be bringing in another fabulous DT for the new term and I wish her all the best with her new DT.

For my card today, I've used this adorable fairy image from Glitterbabe's Digis. This little cutie is cut out using nestabilities, colored with Promarkers, and glitter added for sparkle and shine. She is matted on a gold metallic cardstock printed with gold metallic stars and cut out with nesties. After all, what is a fairy without sparkle and glitter?! Both DP are from my stash. The pink paper has a quilted look, with faux stitching. I used pink mulberry paper flowers I found on clearance at meijer. The sprigs of leaves are punched with a punch by Martha Stewart. I added some pink rhinestone swirls/flourishes that I bought at the Scrapbook Expo last month. The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You and is punched with the oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up, then mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension.

For The Love Of Otters

I'm so excited, today, to share with you another Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images! This one is extra special to me, because it features an image that I requested. Shelly was kind enough to draw it for me, for a project I had in mind. My cousin had visited back in the Winter and had seen a clock I altered. She fell in love with the clock and said, "OMG! You should make me one with an Otter on it!" (She LOVES otters!) I thought, Where am I going to get an image of an otter?!" So, I took a chance and asked Shelly if she could possibly draw one for me, so I could make this clock, and viola! Here we are with this fabulous Otter image! You can buy "Otter" in Shelly's Store, today only, for a discounted price!

This is perfect timing, because my cousin just moved into her own apartment for the first time and also just won an awesome Talent Contest in her hometown at the local comedy club! So, this is going to be a wonderful gift for her when I surprise her with it! Thanks so much, Shelly, for this fabulous image! Brandie is going to love her clock!

Stop by Shelly's Images and check out the other fantastic projects from our talented DT, as well as our featured Guest Designer, the oh so creative Debbie Harris, of DKH Designs! *Applause* Visit us at Shelly's Images and leave us some love! We love to read your comments!

Oh, and how about a tutorial for making an altered clock?! Stop by Shelly's Images, again, tomorrow for a step by step tutorial, and make your own clock!

Now, let's talk about this clock! I've used an inexpensive (just under $5) clock from Walmart. In case you are looking to make your own, the brand name of the clock is Mainstay. I used a patterned leaf paper in fall colors, to go with my Otter. The adorable otter is colored with Promarkers. I used the sponging technique to add color around the image. (Browns, Tans and Greens below the log, and then a mix of blues and greens to create a sky behind the otter) I punched a hole in the image with the Croc A Dile Big Bite, to be able to add the hands for the clock. The numbers are metallic gold foil stickers from The Paper Studio, matted on Chocolate Chip Cardstock and mounted with Foam Mounting Tape for dimension. The otter is cut out using the Creative Memories Cutting System.

Don't forget to drop by Shelly's Images, again, tomorrow for a step by step tutorial on altering your own clock!

I've chosen to do a baby card, today. I've used the sketch at Sketch N Stash, for my card layout. The patterned papers are all from my stash. The image is punched with a large scalloped circle punch and attached with foam mounting tape, for dimension. The lovely flowers from my stash are by Prima. I used a small pink button from my stash, as the flower center. I Played With Honeycomb Because I Carrot For You!

I'm finally getting a chance to sit down and play with some of the new goodies I bought at the Scrapbook Expo in Columbus on March 25th.

If you haven't ever seen the new image sets and honeycomb paper from Inky Antics, you really need to check it out! They are awesome!

Remember those honeycomb bells and other decoration you can buy for weddings?! Well now, you can make your own with the new honeycomb paper! Whoo Hoo!

My card today uses HoneyPop Easter set from Inky Antics, and the new honeycomb paper in orange and green.

Here, above, is the front of my card. I made this card for a male friend, but it would also make a great card for a child. I went with green, for my Easter card. The DP is from my stash. I distressed the edges of the DP with distress ink and a sponge applicator. The green cardstock panel is dry. embossed with a leaf pattern. I've used antique brass brads and a fancy metal spiral paperclip to embellish the corners of the embossed panel. The layout uses the sketch at Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment and rabbits are from the Inky Antics set. I punched it out using oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up. Then, sponged around it in green ink and attached it to the card using foam mounting tape. The rabbit on the outside is also mounted with foam mouthing tape.

Here is the inside of my card:

Don't you just love how that cute little carrot pops right out at you as you open it? The bunny on the inside is from the Inky Antics set. I added sponging with green ink on the inside, and stamped some grass.

All images are highlighted with a tea green Promarker, with a touch of gray added to the ears.

I hope you enjoy this cute card as much I enjoyed making it!

My First CDAC Swap Card

Another new card to show you today.

I made this card for my first swap at CDAC. The challenge was a Birthday card challenge, sponsored by Shelly's Images. Now that all the cards were swapped and mailed back, before I'm able to show you a pic.

I chose to go with a male birthday card, since those are something that people usually need more of. I used the Here's Looking At You image, by Shelly's Images, and is colored with Promarkers. The birthday patterned papers are from my stash. The border is punched with a border punch by Fiskars. The sentiments, "another year," and "another birthday" are punched using the word window and modern label punches by Stampin Up.
The inside says: "And You're Still Looking Good!" I attached the image and sentiments with foam mounting tape for 3D effect and dimension.

Dude Time

Here we are, with a new challenge for you at Craft Your Passion! This week, our theme is to make a male card. Not easy for some of us, but an easy challenge for some of you! I hope you'll play along with us this week!! You could win some great prizes!

Oh, and of course, we have a fabulous sponsor for you this week! This week it is Dude Time Doodles (Bonniebleux Designs)! Bonnie generously gave the DT some of her awesome images to work with, and she is offering $10 in digi images from her store, to one lucky winner! You don't want to miss out on your chance at this fabulous prize!

For my card, I am using this hilarious image, Jose Hosed, by Dude Time Doodles (Bonniebleux Designs). As soon as I seen him, I just had to have him! He cracks me up! I knew, instantly, the sentiment I was going to use with him!

The papers are all from my stash. I tried to go with male type colors, so I chose a mix of browns, blues and greens. Of course, I had to throw a little twist on it, with the addition of the brown polka dots. Who says Polka Dots can't be for men?! Mr Jose Hosed is using his hose to spray off his porch. He is colored with Promarkers. I typed up the sentiment, It's not the size of your Hose, it's how you use it," on the computer and then punched it out with a scalloped oval punch by Marvey. I used a cinnamon brown ink to go around the edges of the sentiment. The sentiment is attached, using foam mounting tape for added dimension.

A Little Birdie Told Me

Good Morning, Bloggers! Are you ready for another Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images?! Today's featured image is this cute little "Birdie Banner." The little birdie is available at a discounted price, today only, in Shelly's Store!

My card layout follows the fun sketches at Sunday Sketch & Stamp and Peachy Keen Stamps. The image, Birdie Banner, by Shelly's Images, is colored with Promarkers. I've used these yummy digi papers by Stitchy Bear Stamps. The greyish blue cardstock panels are embossed with the Swiss Dots folder, using my Cuttlebug. The sheer pale blue ribbon is from my stash. I used my Crop A Dile Big Bite to punch a hole in each end of the Birdie Banner, and threaded the ribbon through each end. The sentiment, Friend to Friend, is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, by Stampin Up, and is punched with Stampin Up Punches. I've mounted the sentiment with foam tape, for 3D effect and Dimension.

Christmas Noel

I know, I know, you're probably all tired of seeing Christmas cards by now! I promise this is my last one for the year! LOL

We have a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. Christmas is this week, so we just had to ask you to see your Christmas cards, this week! I know many of you are still doing those last minute cards, so this is your chance to show off those last minute Christmas cards before you put them in the mail, or hand deliver them. We hope you'll stop by Craft Your Passion, this week, and play along with us for a chance to win an image of your choice from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and CocoDingo.

My card layout is the sketch at The Pixie Cottage. I just had to use it for my card layout when I seen it. This sketch made a fantastic card and was so much fun to use! My image is from CocoDingo and is colored with Promarkers. Of course, I had to add glitter and sparkle using my clearstar gelly roll pen, since it's a Christmas card! All papers and ribbon are from my stash. The Christmas ticket is by Stitchy Bear Stamps, and is mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension. I've used the branch punch by Martha Stewart, to make branches of greenery for the upper left corner of the image. I finished the corner of the image with a few skittles (or Dew Drops) dyed with Cranberry color alcohol Ink.

I love the way this card turned out!

I made this card especially for my close friend, Dan, who I met online years ago. We've been friends for about 8 years.

Minutes to Midnight at Shelly's Images

Wow! Can you beleive 2010 is almost behind us?! Where did the year go! Before we know it, we'll be celebrating a New Year! I want to take this time to thank all of my followers for stopping by to visit this year, and for all the wonderful comments!

This week, at Shelly's images, we are celebrating the end of 2010 and welcoming in the New Year, with Shelly's "Minutes to Midnight" image. This is the perfect image for those New Year's Cards and is very versatile. You could make a fun and different anniversary card with it as well. Minutes to Midnight is on sale for a special price, today only, in the Shelly's Images store, and while you're at the shop, browse around and see all of the great images Shelly has to offer!

Of course, I had to do a New Year's card for this fabulous image! I used the sketch at The House That Stamps Built, for my card layout. Both papers are from my stash. I love the cream, green, and metallic gold paper. It seemed perfect for a New year's Celebration! My image is colored with Promakers, with sparkle and glitter added to the image with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I've added two piece of metallic gold cardstock behing the image, for extra shine. The celery green ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes set and is punched using the word window punch and the modern label punch, also by Stampin Up. I've mounted the sentiment with foam mounting tape for dimension. The skittles (also known as Dew Drops) were hand dyed by me with "Bottle" green alcohol inks.

I made this card for my friend Erica, in Florida. We met online in a game a few years ago and have become close friends.

Let's Go Monochrome

Happy Monday, everyone! You know what Monday means, right?! Monday means a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. We have a fun theme for you this week--Monochrome! I love making Monochrome cards, so I was thrilled to see this as our theme for the week.

Come on over and play along with us at Craft Your Passion and link up your project with the wonderful Mr Linky! Just a reminder of the standard rules--No backlinking of projects, please. Your creation must be new, created on or after the challenge date, and before the challenge ends. Any backlinked projects will not be in the prize drawing. You don't want to miss out on your chance to win images of your choice from CocoDingo and Lauretta's Digital Stamps, so please please please don't backlink. We really don't like to have to exclude anyone from winning.

I have to admit, my card for this theme is quite busy, with lots going on. I'm not quite sure what possessed me to add so many embellishments to it! LOL Part of me thinks it's a bit over the top... Then another part of me thinks it looks nice the way it is. But, I'll let you all decide for yourselves.

I went with all pink, again. I'm not much for wearing pink, but I love creating with this color. The image is from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and colored with Promarkers. I punched the circle and scalloped circle with punches by EK Success. I found this yummy scrummy pink velvet ribbon in the sewing section of Walmart and before I know it, it jumped into my cart and followed me home! The pink sparkly trim with the dangling crystals is actually mini Christmas tree trim from Hobby Lobby. I finished the card off with some gemstone flourishes and adhesive gemstones in two corners of the image.

And there you have it -- Monochrome with lots and lots of bling!
