Congratulations On Your Wedding

Welcome to Oldie But Goodie Thursday, everyone! Today is the day we feature some of the older images from Bugaboo Stamps, and bring them back out into the spotlight, to provide you some awesome creative inspiration.  You can find lots more Oldie But Goodie inspiration over at Catch The Bug, too, so be sure you check them out, too, when you're finished, here.  The DT would love to have you come and visit and leave them some love!

My creation, today, uses the image Make It Snappy - Congratulations, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  For my card layout, I've used the sketch at Sketch and Stash. The gold ribbon if from my stash.  I tied it into a cute little bow on one side.  The flowers are punches with two flower punches by Recollections, and layered.  The leaf branches are punched with a punch by Martha Stewart. I used two white papers with gold foil accents, from my stash, for my background.

My Rice Krispies Told Me To

Welcome back to my blog, and to another Stella Says Sketch challenge at Catch The Bug, where you can win awesome prizes from Bugaboo Stamps! Wanna win?! Well, then you have to come over and visit us at Catch The Bug, to play along with us! Let's see what you create with our sketch, this time around!

My card today uses the current Stella Says Sketch, and features the image, Morning Margaret - Rice krispies, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I went with various shades of green for this card, and a touch of gold.  There are lots and lots of spots, dots and circles on this card, too!  The border is punched with a punch by Fiskars. I used a scrap of green sheer ribbon from my stash, and a gold metallic bow with a gold pearl center. I've used a glaze pen on the eyeglasses on the image, to give that shiny glass effect.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Stella's Telescoping

Time, again, for another card for the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. This is a new card style for me and my first attempt at a telescoping card. I'm loving this card style! So much fun to make and not too bad for my first try.

This telescoping card is for Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug.

Above, you can see the pic of the card before its opened. I apologize for the quality of the photo. I used gold metallic cardstock on a couple of the circles and the glare caused it to turn out green in the photo. I even tried different camera settings and tried taking the pics from a top down angled view and it didn't help much.

I made this card for my friend, for the holidays. He's a martini kinda guy so he'll love it. I used a non traditional color combo of black and gold.

I hope the blogs who have the red and gold challenges won't count me out of the running on this one, due to picture quality. I swear its really gold metallic cardstock!

Anyway, here is a pic of the card once its opened:

I used metallic red and gold cardstocks to make my 3 circles, then used black papers with silver star prints and silver swirls for the next layers. The center layer on each are the images and the sentiment. I used the Cutting system from Creative Memories, to cut all the circles. The circle layers are held together with black and white polka dot brads. The images are from Bugaboo Stamps and are colored with Promarkers. I added glitter and sparkle to the images with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I tried to color the stella martini glass image to reflect that Stella is sitting inside the martini glass.

My card for today uses Diamond Ring, which is today's featured image from Shelly's Images! That means this fabulous image is on sale, today only. Hurry over to the Shelly's Images Store to pick up this image for your very own at this special price!

I've colored the Diamond Ring image with Promarkers and added some sparkle with a clearstar gelly roll pen as well as highlights with a gold metallic gel pen. I found this fabulous black paper embossed with metallic gold designs, in my stash, and knew it was perfect for this image. I then layered it with a strip of gold metallic paper printed with tiny gold stars, then added black sheer ribbon with white splatter spots, down the center of the gold metallic strip. (It's difficult to see in the pic because the light reflected on all the metallics and almost blurred out the ribbon to where you can see the lines of adhesive beneath the sheer ribbon - and they look gold! LOL) The black and white patterned strip down the right side is actually for Halloween and is by Martha Stewart. It really goes well with the other papers, I think, and doesn't even look Halloween! (Yay, me, for thinking outside the box! LOL) The black and white printed paper strip is accented with metallic gold flatback pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty. above the image, I embellished with metallic gold branches punched with the branch punch by Martha Stewart, then added a two layer flower. The sentiment is a clear stamp by Studio G.

I absolutely love how this turned out! This has become a favorite image of mine!

I originally created this is an Anniversary card, but it could also be used as a wedding card or even just to say "I Love You."

For The Newlyweds

It's Marvelous Monday, again, at Shelly's Images. This week, we were supposed to be featuring The Bride and Groom image, and the boots image last week. There was some confusion though, and the bride and groom image was featured last week. I had posted my boots image last week, so this week, I'm posting my Bride and Groom card. Regardless of which image is featured, its always a Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images! And that means a discounted price on the featured image in Shelly's Store! Hurry over and pick today's sale image, before it's too late!

My project today features this beautiful Bride and Groom image by Shelly's Images. I've colored it with Promarkers and added glitter and sparkle with my clearstar gelly roll pen. I think this image is so pretty and elegant, so I wanted to reflect that in my project. I chose a cream colored paper with metallic gold flourishes, as well as a cream and tan sentiment paper and matched those with metallic gold cardstock. It turned out to be a fabulous combination and turned out so elegant. I love the way this turned out. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set by Stampin Up, and punched using the oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up. I've mounted the sentiment with foam mounting tape, for dimension.

Minutes to Midnight at Shelly's Images

Wow! Can you beleive 2010 is almost behind us?! Where did the year go! Before we know it, we'll be celebrating a New Year! I want to take this time to thank all of my followers for stopping by to visit this year, and for all the wonderful comments!

This week, at Shelly's images, we are celebrating the end of 2010 and welcoming in the New Year, with Shelly's "Minutes to Midnight" image. This is the perfect image for those New Year's Cards and is very versatile. You could make a fun and different anniversary card with it as well. Minutes to Midnight is on sale for a special price, today only, in the Shelly's Images store, and while you're at the shop, browse around and see all of the great images Shelly has to offer!

Of course, I had to do a New Year's card for this fabulous image! I used the sketch at The House That Stamps Built, for my card layout. Both papers are from my stash. I love the cream, green, and metallic gold paper. It seemed perfect for a New year's Celebration! My image is colored with Promakers, with sparkle and glitter added to the image with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I've added two piece of metallic gold cardstock behing the image, for extra shine. The celery green ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes set and is punched using the word window punch and the modern label punch, also by Stampin Up. I've mounted the sentiment with foam mounting tape for dimension. The skittles (also known as Dew Drops) were hand dyed by me with "Bottle" green alcohol inks.

I made this card for my friend Erica, in Florida. We met online in a game a few years ago and have become close friends.

Christmas Nativity

Today is another new challenge at Ooh La La. Keeping with the theme of Christmas, we are asking you to make and share with us, projects with a Nativity scene, as we remember the true meaning of Christmas.

My card uses digi paper and a gorgeous Nativity image, from the Christmas Presence CD by ooh La LaCreations. You can get this fantastic CD in Ooh La La Creations' shop, here.

I have used gold metallic cord, from my stash, in three strips across my card, to add some elegance and shine. I used my Crop O Dile Big bite to punch a hole into each corner of the image, and used matching gold metallic cord to frame the image. I wanted to keep this card simple, as a focus on this gorgeous nativity scene. My Card fits the sketch at Corrosive.

I am entering the card in the following challenges:
