Winter Christmas Wishes

Oh wow, darn internet has been bad, bad, bad here! My apologies to all my followers for being so late in getting my post written! Finally got some internet lasting long enough to save a post! Yay!  Anyway, I have some awesome news!

I have been asked to be a guest designer for C is For Challenge and this is my first GDT project! Yay! So excited!  It's always such an honor and a pleasure to be invited to do a guest designer spot!  Thank you so much, Anna, for giving me this opportunity!

Today's new challenge at C is For challenge is to use Buttons. If you're like me, you love using buttons, so this is a great challenge to play along with, isn't it? I made this cute Christmas card today, using the image Alannah, from Stamp Art Designs By Kathryne, colored with Promarkers. I used this fun mix of snowflake and plaid paper scraps from my stash.  Two large green buttons, recycled from an old coat, were threaded with Christmas colored baker's twine, and used to embellish the card. I used two pieces of metallic green holly in the upper right corner.

Happy Holidays, Big Boy!

Wow, can you believe it?! I'm back, again, this morning, with another card for you! This time, a Christmas card using this super sexy and oh so fun image, Bow (Adult) by  KennyK ! Perfect for the guy in your life!

I went with Winter colors. All papers are from my stash. The purple and blue looks great, together, don't you think?! I used purple gemstones to embellish, as well as blue glittered ribbon and a shiny snowflake! I think this card is just right for entering into the current KennyK challenge, Merry And Bright! My sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Chocolate, Cream and Raspberry For Christmas In July

Wow, time sure is flying by, this week! We're already on day 3 of our Christmas in July celebration over at Catch The Bug. For today's challenge, we have some fun colors for you to use.  We want to see your projects using the colors Chocolate, Cream and Raspberry, If you're like me, it seemed a little difficult at first, but believe me, it's not as hard as you think once you get started! I mine is more of a deep red, rather than a raspberry, but its the closest I could find, in papers!

My card, today, uses the image Plush Reindeer - Ornament, from       Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  I used a sentiment from Sentiments 4 You, printed on cream cardstock and punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.  All of the papers, with the exception of the burlap look paper, are from Stampin Up.  I used Raspberry colored pearls to embellish. A clear glaze pen has been applied to the ornament on the image, to give the appearance of glass.

Sending Happy Thoughts

It's another funtabulous Tableau Tuesday, today at Daisy's Doodles. You're going to want to make sure you check out the wonderful creations from the DT over at Daisy's Doodles for some gorgeous eye candy!

My project today was so much fun to make! I went with a gorgeous flowery shaped card, this time. The image is from the Floral Frames set, by Daisy's Doodles. This set is so fun and versatile and comes with several image choices, all in one set! Check it out! You're going to want this one for your collection! You can find this fun flowery set here, in the Daisy Doodles Store.

The image is colored with Promarkers. I cut out the blank center of the image to make it a true frame, then attached it to a circle card with foam mounting tape, for dimension. The sentiment is from the oh so wonderful Lynne, at Sentiments 4 You. I added glitter and sparkle to the card with my Clearstar Gelly Roll pen, and then finished off with some colored pearls for the flower centers.

Christmas In July And A Farewell

Red, White & Blue! A Tag For You!

How about celebrating July 4th with this cute tag?! I'm really into the red white and blue color combo, lately in honor of Independence Day. I've used this fabulously refreshing image, Happy Hour Strawberry, from Shelly's Images, and colored it with Promarkers. I added sparkle and shine with a clearstar gelly roll pen. The red and white polka dot paper is new, and the blue ribbon is from my stash.

I've been feeling springy lately, so I decided to go with spring colors for my project. I'm low on birthday cards, so it seemed like a good thing to make.My card layout uses the sketch at Sketches By Carly. (I love this little lady's sketches!) My Image is by Guylou's Inimitability. She is colored with Promarkers. The DP's are all from my stash. I love the sprinkles of glitter in the pink DP, for the added sparkle. I've used a scalloped circle punched with a punch by EK Success, behind my image, and adorned it with adhesive pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty that I colored with my Promarkers to match my card. The flowers are by Recollections, and are accented by leaves punched with a punch by Martha Stewart. The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You, and is punched with the oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up. The image and sentiment are mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension

For my project, I am using one of today's new releases, Movie Star Tween, by
Digi's With Attitude! This little beauty is colored with Promarkers and enhanced with glitter for that extra star appeal. My card uses the sketch at Stamping Vacation for the layout. The papers are both from my stash. The black paper is texturized and embossed with a weird pattern and then highlighted with silver glitter. It almost feels like paper towels or tissue paper that has been clumped up, watersoaked and redried. It have a very cool texture! (Yes I just admitted that it's cool to soak down paper, clump it up, let it dry, and play with it! Guess I know why I loved to throw things in a tub full of water as a kid!) It seemed to match perfectly with this funky pink and black zebra paper! I wanted to go Monochromatic in a strange way, which is why I chose black as my neutral color. This gorgeous black lace is from Pizzazz Aplenty, as are these fabulous silver flatback pearls (in the upper left corner - Hard to see because of the watermark, sorry). The stick pin is a simple one, made by me. I wanted to incorporate metal and lace, but not have anything to gaudy so the attention would focus on the image. The ribbon and bow with pearl are all from my stash. I punched the stars with punches by Creative Memories. The image and stars are mounted with foam mounting tape for extra 3D effect.

Anything Goes for The End of The Term

Wow! Time has flown by and its already the end of my term for the DT at Iris' Spot. I've had so much fun working with this spunky little lady! I'm sad to be posting my last DT card, but I know she'll be bringing in another fabulous DT for the new term and I wish her all the best with her new DT.

For my card today, I've used this adorable fairy image from Glitterbabe's Digis. This little cutie is cut out using nestabilities, colored with Promarkers, and glitter added for sparkle and shine. She is matted on a gold metallic cardstock printed with gold metallic stars and cut out with nesties. After all, what is a fairy without sparkle and glitter?! Both DP are from my stash. The pink paper has a quilted look, with faux stitching. I used pink mulberry paper flowers I found on clearance at meijer. The sprigs of leaves are punched with a punch by Martha Stewart. This lovely dove image is from CocoDingo. I colored the image with Promarkers and added glitter to the dove for sparkle. The DP is from Stampin Up. The sheer ribbon is from my stash. Sentiment is computer generated and punched with a circle punch. I've used foam mounting tape to attach the sentiment. The upper left corner of the flowered DP panel is adorned with tiny white adhesive pearls.

I am so so excited to have been chosen to be a part of this team, and to show you my first card for Digi's With Attitude!

I chose the Digi's With Attitude! image, Rockband Tween. I've colored her with Promarkers and went with a purple, black and white color combo. This funky card uses the sketches at The Pink Elephant, Stamp With Fun and Sketch and Stash. I chose a fabulous purple and white animal print paper and paired it with a gorgeous purple paper, embossed with crocodile pattern. The purple ribbon across the crocodile paper is actually lavendar with black stripes along the edge, though you can't see it real well in the pic. I found this in the dollar bin at Joann's! Whooo Hoo, can you say Bargain?! This fabulous sentiment, Too Hot To Handle, is from Digi's With Attitude! sentiment set 1 and is pop dotted for dimension. The flower is from Recollections. I colored it with my Promarkers, in Orchid, to give it the color I wanted, then added glitter and sparkle using a clearstar gelly roll pen. I used the pen, also to add glitter and sparkle to the image. I found this fabulous black ruffled trim at Hobby Lobby and thought it was perfect for this card, so I had to have it! The beaded purple and silver stick pin in the flower is handmade by me. I used old beads from a broken necklace, for the pin.

I had such a blast making this card and love how it turned out! I hope you love it as much as I do!

Showing Some Swan Love

It's that time, again! Time for another Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images! Today's featured image is Swan Love. Swan Love is on sale, today only, in in the Shelly's Images store While you're there, check out her other fabulous images, too! There are so many wonderful images!

I've used today's Featured image, Swan Love, colored with Promarkers. This image is so beautiful and elegant. I had trouble deciding if I wanted to go with a Wedding card, or an anniversary card, for this image. It is perfect for both! I ended up going with a wedding card, in mind, but you could use this card for anniversary, as well. I used some of my new supplies for this card. These two yummy metallic specialty cardstocks were perfect for this image, and for achieving the elegant look I was going for. I bought these just last week and am so glad I did! The gold ribbon with metallic threads is from Michael's, but its been in my stash since Christmas of 2009 LOL. The sentiment is a digi sentiment, purchased from Sentiments 4 You. I used the oval and scalloped oval punch from Stampin Up. The sentiment is mounted using foam mounting tape, for dimension. I used my trusty clearstar gelly roll pen, to add glitter and sparkle to the image. My card fits the sketches at Paper Pretties, at Card Positioning Systems and at Totally Gorjuss.

Craft Your Passion-Anything Goes-Card #2

I decided to do two cards this week, one for each digi sponsor, so that I could make sure both companies had a project featured for each image they were nice enough to give our DT to work with.

For this post, I am showing you my card using this cute Hot Cocoa image from Digi's By Phooka.

I love this Hot Cocoa image. It is so adorable! Of course, it makes me think Winter, so I had to do a Winter themed card. We still have quite a bit of snow left on the ground, so it is perfect weather for a mug of Hot Cocoa. I colored the image with my Promarkers. The snowflake DP and striped DP are both from my stash. I used 4mm silver flatback pearls from Pizazz Aplenty for embellishing. I finished the card off with a small piece of silver snowflake trim, attached with mini glue dots.

Is this cute or what?!

Give Me An Attitude, Because Anything Goes!

Whoo Hoo! It's 2011 and this is a super exciting day at Craft Your Passion! As you all hopefully know by now, our first challenge of the month is "Anything Goes" challenge! And we know how you all love those challenges! But, there is more big excitement....

Now that I have rambled on for what seems like forever, and practically written a book, let me tell you about my card.

I have done two cards for this challenge, because I want to make sure all images that the sponsors provided to us, get some exposure. So, I've done one by Digi's By Phooka, and one from Digi's With Attitude, but will put them in separate posts.

This post, I am featuring my card with the Grumpy Gretchen Mechanic image, by Digi's With Attitude. I had so much fun creating with this image, and I couldn't help myself with the sentiment! LOL. I've colored Grumpy Gretchen with Promarkers. (she has some sparkle added, too, with my trusty clearstar gelly roll pen). The background paper reminds me of checkered flags, so I felt it was perfect for this image. I've used red Jezebel lace, and black Gabrielle lace from Pizzazz Aplenty. The 3mm clear rhinestones on her clothes and on the scalloped oval are also from Pizzazz Aplenty. I used black cardstock, and made lines to create a road, using a white primsacolor pencil. Then, I added a red button and a checkered flag button from the Start Your Engine series of Dress It Up Buttons. These are new- I bought them specifically to use on this card, because they are perfect for this image! The sentiment/quote is supposed to say, "If It Has Tires or Testicles, It's Going To Give You Trouble!. Unfortunately, I realized after I took the pic, that I made a typo. I have fixed it, but did not have time to take a new pic before my card went up. (Too much family stuff to day with the family yesterday and last night! Phew!) I punched the sentiment with the oval and scalloped oval punches, by Stampin Up, and attached it with foam mounting tape for dimension.


I made this card for my cousin who just broke up with her boyfriend and is making a "New beginning" by moving into her own place and being newly single again.
