Give Me An Attitude, Because Anything Goes!

Whoo Hoo! It's 2011 and this is a super exciting day at Craft Your Passion! As you all hopefully know by now, our first challenge of the month is "Anything Goes" challenge! And we know how you all love those challenges! But, there is more big excitement....

For 2011, Passion will be having sponsors, so you will get chances to win awesome prizes from some fabulous companies like Aplenty, Letraset many more! Whoo Hoo! How awesome is that?!

Here is even more big news! Starting with this challenge, the first week of every month is our "Anything Goes" challenge, and these weeks will feature multiple sponsors! That's right! You will have a chance to win prizes from at least two companies, in our Anything Goes challenges! If you haven't yet become a follower, you might want to do that so that you don't miss out! We have some wonderful goodies lined up to give away!

This week, our theme is "Anything Goes," and we have three awesome sponsors for you, today! We are being sponsored by the wonderful Judy, from Pizazz Aplenty, and she's giving our winner a yummy package of goodies from her store! If you haven't checked out Pizazz Aplenty, you better rush over to their store and check it out! Judy has fast service, and wonderful prices! Our second sponsor is the fabulous Digi's With Attitude! If you have attitude or even just like attitude, these are the digi stamps for you! Cindy Lynn has created some fantastic images for us all to enjoy! The Grumpy Gretchen series is my favorite! If you haven't checked out her images, you really need to! They're awesome! Our third sponsor this week is Digi's By Phooka. Myriam has created lots of adorable images and they are just too cute for words! They are a newer digi company and could really use our support. Please jump on over to Myriam's store and take a look. If you love cutesy, these are right up your alley!

Now that I have rambled on for what seems like forever, and practically written a book, let me tell you about my card.

I have done two cards for this challenge, because I want to make sure all images that the sponsors provided to us, get some exposure. So, I've done one by Digi's By Phooka, and one from Digi's With Attitude, but will put them in separate posts.

This post, I am featuring my card with the Grumpy Gretchen Mechanic image, by Digi's With Attitude. I had so much fun creating with this image, and I couldn't help myself with the sentiment! LOL. I've colored Grumpy Gretchen with Promarkers. (she has some sparkle added, too, with my trusty clearstar gelly roll pen). The background paper reminds me of checkered flags, so I felt it was perfect for this image. I've used red Jezebel lace, and black Gabrielle lace from Pizzazz Aplenty. The 3mm clear rhinestones on her clothes and on the scalloped oval are also from Pizzazz Aplenty. I used black cardstock, and made lines to create a road, using a white primsacolor pencil. Then, I added a red button and a checkered flag button from the Start Your Engine series of Dress It Up Buttons. These are new- I bought them specifically to use on this card, because they are perfect for this image! The sentiment/quote is supposed to say, "If It Has Tires or Testicles, It's Going To Give You Trouble!. Unfortunately, I realized after I took the pic, that I made a typo. I have fixed it, but did not have time to take a new pic before my card went up. (Too much family stuff to day with the family yesterday and last night! Phew!) I punched the sentiment with the oval and scalloped oval punches, by Stampin Up, and attached it with foam mounting tape for dimension.

I made this card for my cousin who just broke up with her boyfriend and is making a "New beginning" by moving into her own place and being newly single again.

What A Color Combo

Monday is challenge day at Craft Your Passion, and this time we have a fun color combo challenge for you. We want to see you use a combination of purple, orange and black on your project. I'm sure it reminds you of Halloween colors, but think outside the box. It doesnt have to be a halloween project. There are so many ways you can use this awesome color combo. Play along with us at Craft Your Passion for your chance to win digi images of your choice from laureatta's Digital Stamps and Cocodingo.

For my card, I used papers from my stash. The image is from Lauretta's Digital Stamps, and is colored with Promarkers. I sponged the edges of the image with purple ink then used black ribbon with orange polka dots, also from my stash. The flowers were stamped and then punched out and mounted with glue dots. I love how this card turned out. My card fits the sketch at Stamps R Us, though I've changed up the sketch a bit.

Without You, There's No Color In My Life

This card was inspired by the sketch and challenge at Twisted Sketches.

I was driving down the road one night, on my way to work, thinking about card ideas, when the sentiment came to me...."Without you, there is no color in my life." (It's so strange sometimes, the things we are doing, when a creative idea comes to us!) The next morning, I stopped on my way home from work and bought some black & white paper, and this card came out of my head and onto paper. I love the elegant look of black and white cards, and the sentiment seemed to fit perfectly.

All Items to create the card are from my stash, except the new paper. The rose image is from Birds Cards. The rose in the center is pop dotted to add dimension.
