While you're here, I'd love for you to stick around just a little longer, while I tell you about my card. My card uses the image set, Under The Sea Set, from Digital Delights by Looby Lou. I used the background provided with the set, then fussy cut around the mermaid, octopus and little fishy, and used foam mounting tape to add them to the background.  All images have been colored with Promarkers. There's lots of dimension going on here, to create this 3D underwater scene! I only used one scrap of designer paper on this card - A really tough task for me, trust me, as I do love my patterned papers! I used a piece of fuzzy lime green scalloped trim across the bottom of the card.

I made a girly girl Birthday card, this time.  My card uses the image Girl Teddy Hug, from Bugaboo Stamps,
colored with Promarkers. Pink trim has been added below the image, across the bottom. I've used black and clear gemstones on the trim.  Gemstones have also been used as the flower centers.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Let's Get Sketchy For Bugaboo's Fourth Birthday

Phew! How are you liking the Birthday Week festivities at Catch The Bug this week? Are you having fun helping us celebrate the 4th birthday of Bugaboo Stamps? I hope so, because we have lots more fun planned for you, this week!

Today, I want to tell you about today's daily challenge to celebrate Bugaboo's birthday!  Today's challenge is a sketch.  Come over to Catch The Bug to see all the wonderful creations by the design team and check out the sketch so you can play along, today, too!  Remember, lots of prizes to be won! My card, today, uses the image, Bubbles Birthday - Ice Cream from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers used are from my stash. I used a circle punch and a scalloped circle punch, to pucn out the image and the sentiment. Black pearls were used to embellish the top left corner of the card. I used some brand new light blue ruffled lace/trim across the bottom of the card.  This card has great colors and I love the way it turned out!

A Fairy Special Birthday

My card layout follows the sketch at Papertake Weekly. This cute little fairy image is by Paper Makeup Stamps. I've colored her with Promarkers and added glitter and sparkle with a clearstar gelly roll pen. All papers are from my stash. I used this new lavender crochet trim, as well as a stick pin I made using pearls and bows. The sentiment says "A Fairy Special Birthday." (Sorry the easel is covering up the word Birthday on the bottom right corner. I didnt realize that when I posted the pic.)

Christmas In July And A Farewell

I am so so excited to have been chosen to be a part of this team, and to show you my first card for Digi's With Attitude!

I chose the Digi's With Attitude! image, Rockband Tween. I've colored her with Promarkers and went with a purple, black and white color combo. This funky card uses the sketches at The Pink Elephant, Stamp With Fun and Sketch and Stash. I chose a fabulous purple and white animal print paper and paired it with a gorgeous purple paper, embossed with crocodile pattern. The purple ribbon across the crocodile paper is actually lavendar with black stripes along the edge, though you can't see it real well in the pic. I found this in the dollar bin at Joann's! Whooo Hoo, can you say Bargain?! This fabulous sentiment, Too Hot To Handle, is from Digi's With Attitude! sentiment set 1 and is pop dotted for dimension. The flower is from Recollections. I colored it with my Promarkers, in Orchid, to give it the color I wanted, then added glitter and sparkle using a clearstar gelly roll pen. I used the pen, also to add glitter and sparkle to the image. I found this fabulous black ruffled trim at Hobby Lobby and thought it was perfect for this card, so I had to have it! The beaded purple and silver stick pin in the flower is handmade by me. I used old beads from a broken necklace, for the pin.

I had such a blast making this card and love how it turned out! I hope you love it as much as I do!

First Birthday Celebration!

Wow! Today is a special day, over at Shelly's Images! Not only is it Marvelous Monday, but this is a very special Marvelous Monday!

Today is the First Birthday of Shelly's Images! It is so hard to beleive that Shelly's Images is one year old, today! I remember months ago, when I first started playing in the challenges at Shelly's Images and won my first image from Shelly's Images! Such fond memories! And now, here I am, a proud member of Shelly's Images' DT!

Anyway, let me stop babbling and get on with the business at hand. I wanted to invite you all to hop on over to Images, today, to celebrate our First Birthday! We have some fun events planned throughout the day, so you you'll want to hop over more than once, today, to check out what is going on. Okay, now that I have all the announcements out of the way, let me show you what I created for Shelly's Images' first Birthday! I actually created two projects, but I am going to post them in separate posts. The other comes with a fun tutorial, so you will see that one, tomorrow. (Are you excited, yet?!)

Here is today's First Birthday project:



How's that for a fun and unique project?! LOL! When I first seen this fabulous 1st Birthday image that Shelly created for the birthday celebration, I thought of this idea, instantly! A couple of years ago, my aunt and cousin had taken me out for my birthday, to dinner, and they gave me this crown and made me wear it all through dinner! Anyway, I have kept this crown, ever since! I just knew one day I would find the perfect Birthday girl to pass my crown on to! Oh, and guess what?! I found the perfect lucky girl to pass my crown on it---You guessed it! Shelly! Of course, I had to add something to make the crown special for Shelly, since its Shelly's Images' first birthday!

I used today's Featured Image, 1st Birthday, and colored it with Promarkers, then punched it out using a circle punch by EK Success. We had to have some more pink to make this extra girly, so I matted the image with a pink Scalloped circle, punched with a scalloped circle punch. Then I attached the image to the crown, using heavy duty glue dots! The image has added glitter and sparkle on the icing and candle, using these yummy new crystal Stickles. (Gotta have that extra sparkle). Oh, and you have to love this wonderful pink furry trim!

For tomorrow's project, I made Shelly a fun accessory to go along with her birthday crown! Be sure to check back, tomorrow, so you can see what it is, and see how I made it!

I think I should put this awesome girly birthday crown (and tomorrow's matching accessory), in a box and send it to Shelly?! Shelly is a teacher, so I think she needs to wear this Birthday crown and the matching accessories to school one day, all day, in celebration of Shelly's Images' first Birthday!

What do you all think?! How many of you think I need to send this cute crown to Shelly, and she should have to wear it all day to school? (Oh, and she'd need to take a pic of herself wearing this, and the accessory, so we can all see she has officially worn the crown!)

If I get at least 20 people to post a comment and say they think I should mail it to her and she should wear it, I will box it up and send it off! I know you'll all agree with me and not let me down, by posting your comment! I think Shelly better be prepared to show the world her new crown!


Maybe she will even pass it on to a birthday girl of her choice, and we can keep the tradition of the crown going!

Here Comes Santa Clause

Wow, can you believe how fast time is flying by?! The radio stations here are already playing Christmas music, and the stores are putting out their Christmas decorations.

I'm already in the Christmas spirit and have been working on Christmas projects. Today, I have a cute little ornament to show you. The image is Santa Clause and he is from Shelly's Images. I made this ornament from an empty ribbon spool. I punched two scalloped circles and attached one to each side of the spool. Santa is colored with Promarkers, with glittery sparkle added to his cap and beard with a Clearstar gelly roll pen. I used some fancy red beaded ribbon trim from my stash (never used before now), and attached it under the edges of the ribbon roll, with glue dots. Santa was punched using a smaller circle, to fit inside the scallop. I found this awesome red, green & white braided trim at Hobby Lobby and thought it would be perfect to trim around the outside of the ornament. I used red plastic beaded christmas tree trim tied around the inside of the spool, to make the loop for hanging. I tried to fit this to the sketch at Card Positionin Systems, except mine is round instead of square.
