Hoot Hoot Hurray!

Today is a special day for Craft Your Passion, folks! Today marks their 100th challenge! Wow! Can you beleive it?! Time sure has flown by! It's hard to beleive it, isn't it?! I remember fondly, the time I served on the DT at Craft Your Passion. I started as a guest designer back when Lauretta and Corrine ran the challenge blog, and ended up staying on. The time eventually came for me to move on, and the blog is now ran by the wonderful Jenn Jackson, who's doing a bang up job! *Applause* From time to time, Jenn invites me back as a guest for special events, and of course, I'm always happy to participate! This is no exception! I'm honored, as always to be be asked. This is a special time for Craft Your Passion and a real cause for celebration!

The celebration is in full swing, with tons of wonderful sponsors! Lots of sponsors mean lots of prizes! Be sure you head over and check out the festitivities at Craft Your Passion and play along in the current challenge, for your chance to win!

I went with a shaped card for my first Craft Your Passion project. I'm using Hootie Pie Clown by Pink Cat Studio, who's one of the many fabulous sponsors this week! He's colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash.

Let's Get In Shape

Hey Hey Hey! It's Tuesday, folks! Tuesdays mean new release day, at Bugaboo Stamps! Today's new release being featured is Critter Sign It - Bear. I love this one, because it could be used as a tag, a card front, or even a shaped card - Like I've done, here.

Come over to Catch The Bug and see all the creative ways the DT has found to show off today's featured new release!

I've made a shaped card, using Critter Sign It - Bear, from Bugaboo Stamps. I printed the image, attached it to folded cardstock and hand cut around it, to create the shaped card. I used the paper piecing technique to add pink swirly patterned paper to the sign. The sentiment is punched with a circle punch and attached with foam mounting tape, for dimension.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Stella's Telescoping

Time, again, for another card for the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. This is a new card style for me and my first attempt at a telescoping card. I'm loving this card style! So much fun to make and not too bad for my first try.

This telescoping card is for Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug.

Above, you can see the pic of the card before its opened. I apologize for the quality of the photo. I used gold metallic cardstock on a couple of the circles and the glare caused it to turn out green in the photo. I even tried different camera settings and tried taking the pics from a top down angled view and it didn't help much.

I made this card for my friend, for the holidays. He's a martini kinda guy so he'll love it. I used a non traditional color combo of black and gold.

I hope the blogs who have the red and gold challenges won't count me out of the running on this one, due to picture quality. I swear its really gold metallic cardstock!

Anyway, here is a pic of the card once its opened:

I used metallic red and gold cardstocks to make my 3 circles, then used black papers with silver star prints and silver swirls for the next layers. The center layer on each are the images and the sentiment. I used the Cutting system from Creative Memories, to cut all the circles. The circle layers are held together with black and white polka dot brads. The images are from Bugaboo Stamps and are colored with Promarkers. I added glitter and sparkle to the images with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I tried to color the stella martini glass image to reflect that Stella is sitting inside the martini glass.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Kenny K Christmas

I was so excited to see that Kenny K's Krafty Girlz is having a DT call! It's always been my dream to be on the Kenny K DT, ever since I discovered his stamps! I applied once before and didn't make it.... But, you know what they say, if at first you don't succeed Try try, again!

And so, I have to try, again!

Here is my DT call submission:

I've been into shaped cards, lately, and the tee pee card is one of my favorites! I love that it is 3 dimensional and sphere shaped so that it stands up independently so all 3 sides can be decorated. These also make great centerpieces for holidays and parties. I'm going to be giving this card to a coworkers granddaughter for Christmas.

This tee pee is 5" tall. The card closes with a very thin velcro oval by Tombow. I'm using Kenny K's Hot Weave image, colored with Promarkers. She's had glitter and sparkle added with a clearstar gelly roll pen. All papers are scraps from my stash.

I made a triangle shaped banner with polka dot paper and pink and white baker's twine, then stretched it around the top of the tee pee on all three sides. The banner has silver metal snowflakes attached to each triangle. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. I've added some punched branches of greenery behind the sentiment. The image and sentiment are attached with foam mounting tape for Dimension. The red DP has snowflakes on it

I am entering this card for kids in the following DT call:

Good morning and welcome to another challenge this fortnight, at Daisy's Doodles. We're all in the Christmas spirit this time, so we thought it would be fun to do a Christmas themed challenge!

Come See My Gingerbread House

Well, I'm officially done with Halloween cards now, so it's time to move onto Thanksgiving cards and Christmas cards! LOL

Today, I have a fun sparkly shaped Christmas card to show you. I'm really into shaped cards, lately! They are so much fun! This one has an extra twist, too, because the door of the gingerbread house opens up!

I used the Gingerbread House image and the Gingerbread Girl image, from Squiggle Stamps. I won these from them and absolutely love them! They're quickly becoming one of my favorite companies! Both images are colored with Promarkers. I printed the gingerbread house and attached it to cardstock, then cut it out to make a shaped card. I used an exacto knife to cut around the door so that the door actually opens, then I placed the gingerbread girl on the inside of the card, so that she can be seen standing in the doorway if you open the door, but She can also be seen if you just open the card the usual way. I covered the inside of the card and the inside of the open door with green and white polka dot paper. The gingerbread house has had lots and lots of sparkle and glitter added with a clearstar gelly roll pen.

Group Of Ghoulish Ghouls

I have another Halloween project for you today! This is my favorite holiday of all time so I've been having a blast being a busy busy Halloween girlie!

This is project #11 for the 12 Days of Halloween at Simply Betty Stamps.

I present to you,10 Ghouls A-groaning! I went with a shaped card, shaped like a tag. This project is so eerie and creepy! Love how it turned out!

I used a creepy image from Wonderstrange, colored with Promarkers. I wanted him to be especially scary looking for this combination of papers, so I bloodied him up a little.

Wouldn't you hate to be driving down the street and see 10 of these after you?! Heck, I'd hate to see even one after me! Scary!

I used a mix of scraps of papers from Echo Park and Recollections. The spooky colored ribbon is from the Martha Stewart halloween collection. I used some black gems to highlight the one corner of the image frame.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:

Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!

It's time to show you another project for the 12 Days Of Christmas project from Simply Betty Stamps. This is my 7 Glowing Pumpkins project.

I did a round scalloped circle card for this one. The black and white glittered DP is from the current Halloween paper stack from Recollections. These funky pumpkins are from MyGrafico and are colored with Promarkers. Before adding the pumpkins, I used a Martha Stewart Branch punch and punched out several branches from black and white newsprint paper. I added a wreath of these branches near the edges of the card, then added a small wreath of them in the center. Then I attached foam mounting tape to the back of each pumpkin and added them around the edges of the card, and one in the middle. The pumpkins are "glowing" with shiny glitter that I added with my clearstar gelly roll pen.

You may need to enlarge the photo to see the branches beneath the pumpkins since they blend in a little with the background DP.

The photo does not really do this card justice. It turned out fabulous! I wish you could see it in person!

Sexy Black Widow

Good Morning, everyone! I'm back, again, today! This time, to show you this fun shaped card I made for my husband for Halloween! (Scroll down to see the inside of the card)

I used this awesome Black Widow image from Stitchy Stamps. The image is colored with Promarkers. I did fussy cutting around the image, then attached the image to a piece of folded black cardstock. Once attached to the black card, I cut around it, again, to make a shaped card. The entire image has had glitter and sparkle added with a clearstar gelly roll pen.

Next, I decorated the inside of the card:

For the inside of the card, I cut some newsprint halloween paper to fit inside. (Yes, yes, I know, my cutting on that paper is bad, bad, bad! LOL) Then, I printed the image again, but smaller, and did more fussy cutting around it. I attached the smaller version to the center inside, then attached a sentiment across the middle. The sentiment is attached with foam mounting tape for dimension and 3D effect. This sentiment is from the Spiderweb set at Shelly's Images and matches perfectly!

I had a blast making this and am really happy with how it turned out! I think my husband will love it!

A Grave Halloween

Welcome to another Tableau Tuesday with Daisy's Doodles.

I have a fun card to show you, today. I absolutely love love love halloween, so I couldn't resist doing another Halloween card!

For this card, I printed out the tombstone image and cut around it, to make a shaped card. The image is colored with Promarkers. I cut the bat out and pop dotted it to the card, to add dimension. It's another funtabulous Tableau Tuesday, today at Daisy's Doodles. You're going to want to make sure you check out the wonderful creations from the DT over at Daisy's Doodles for some gorgeous eye candy!

My project today was so much fun to make! I went with a gorgeous flowery shaped card, this time. The image is from the Floral Frames set, by Daisy's Doodles. This set is so fun and versatile and comes with several image choices, all in one set! Check it out! You're going to want this one for your collection! You can find this fun flowery set here, in the Daisy Doodles Store.

The image is colored with Promarkers. I cut out the blank center of the image to make it a true frame, then attached it to a circle card with foam mounting tape, for dimension. The sentiment is from the oh so wonderful Lynne, at Sentiments 4 You. I added glitter and sparkle to the card with my Clearstar Gelly Roll pen, and then finished off with some colored pearls for the flower centers.
