Keep The Wild In You
I'm so saddened to say this is my last day as a Growing In Unity girl, for Unity Stamp Company. I've had such a blast and I wish it didn't have to end! (I wonder if I wrote a letter to Santa, wishing for a spot on the Unity DT, if he'd be kind enough to help me out?! Doesn't hurt to try, right?!)
I cannot say enough about Unity Stamp Company. Their stamp quality and customer service is fabulous! Each order you place, is made just for you. You don't find many companies that cook your order just for you. Whitney's husband, Nick, also makes custom name stamps, for use on the backs of your cards - With the Same great Unity quality! If you haven't given Unity a chance yet, please check them out and support this family owned business that prides itself on quality!
Today's card, is my favorite, by far. I went out of my comfort zone and made my own background, to bring out my "wild side!" I created the background by using alcohol inks on glossy cardstock. Then, I stamped on the background panel, in black with stamps from the Keep Wild set by Unity Stamp Company. I used the Amalgam ink, from Gina K, for my stamping. (LOVE this ink, by the way!) The sentiment, from the same set, has been mounted on black and fussy cut. I wanted to do something different with the sentiment and make it stand out - Cuz, like, I'm trying to get wild, right?! I tore up some gauze I had in my First aid Kit, inked it up with the Gina K ink and placed it between the pink panel and the alcohol ink panel. I was trying to add a "wild" element, to go with the card theme. I have to say, it was my first time using gauze on a card, But, I think I rather like it!
This is your last chance to comment on all of my Unity posts for this week, for your chance to win a grab bag! Two winners will be chosen, so, what are you waiting for, leave me some love, baby!
I want to say thank you, again, to Unity Stamp Company, for giving me the opportunity to be a Growing In Unity girl, this week. I've had so much fun and have loved every minute of it! Thank you, also, Unity, for giving me two stamp grab bags to giveaway to two lucky commenters on this week's post!

Ahhhhhh Crap! I'm Sorry!
Good morning, all! Welcome back to my blog for Day 2 of my Growing In Unity Week! Today, I decided to use the Ahhh Crap set from Unity Stamp Company's "after Dark" line. I admit, these are some of my favorites and right up my alley! I love humorous images/sentiments so the "after Dark" line is perfect for me! Anywho, this set is very versatile and has so many fun sentiments for making your humorous cards! Do yourself a favor, if you like this kind of humor, and check out the Ahhh Crap set - You'll love the possibilities!
I decided to go with an apology card this time, because that toilet was just begging to be used on a card. of course, I couldn't forget the plumber's friend, Mr plunger! I had to put him to work, too! I used markers to color in the stamped images. Mr plunger was fussy cut by hand, All papers were scraps from my stash. No embellishments this round, because I wanted to keep it clean and simple, so this card could be used as a guy card, if needed.
Hopefully, you're enjoying my Growing in Unity week - I know I sure am! Remember, you could win a grab bag of stamps from Unity Stamp Company. just for commenting on all of my Unity posts this week. So, what are you waiting for, leave me some love! Oh, and be sure to come back tomorrow for another Unity project!

Paint The World With Your Beauty - Growing In Unity Day 5
Wow, the time has sure flown by! I can't believe This the last day of my GIU week for Unity Stamps! It's been an awesome week and I've had so much fun! So many wonderful comments and so much support from everyone! Thank you, Unity Stamp Company, for the opportunity to be a GIU girl this week! It has truly been a thrill and an honor! One day I'd love to be able to create with and for you all the time!
I saved my most unusual and fun "first time" project, for last! I've decided I wanted to try altering a paint brush. I've seen them on Pinterest and it's an idea that has intrigued me for a long time. Being that I've devoted my GIU week for Unity Stamps to trying new things. I thought this would be the first time! Not to mention that I was motivated and inspired by this gorgeous Faceless Beauty stamp set from Unity Stamps. I fell in love with this awesome stamp when I first seen it and when I decided to alter my first paint brush, I knew this set would be perfect!
I started with a basic paint brush from Michaels and added color to the wooden handle, as well as the metal tab holding the brush (Cant really see it in the pic) with alcohol inks, then left it to dry. For this project, my hot glue gun was my friend - and also my enemy, because the hot little sucker kept oozing and burning my fingers! (Yes, yes, I know what you are thinking - Then why did you touch the oozing hotness you fool - You knew you'd get burned?! So true, that thought, but, somehow, I couldn't help myself - Guess it's my own fault I have no fingerprints left! LOL!) Once the alcohol inks were dry, I used the evil glue gun of hotness to adhere a layer of white lace over the metal part of the paint brush. Once that was in place, I added a layer of pink ruffled tulle trim, then, over that, a layer of beaded trim. I especially love this trim, because of the tear drop shaped pearls. It just seems to fit perfectly with the white lace and pink ruffled tulle. doesn't it? After adding my trims, I added my stamped image, Faceless Beauty, from Unity Stamp Company, colored with markers and fussy cut. Next, I added some leaves I cut off a swag bought at Hobby Lobby (Aka "The Lob!). Once my leaves were placed, I added in my flowers, from Petaloo. I finished off my cluster of flowers by adding two sprigs of crystal pearls that jumped in my cart during a past shopping trip, again, to Hobby Lobby (The Lob - OMG I so LOVE that place!). I finished off the paint brush by added the sentiment, from Faceless Beauty, which i fussy cut.
This project was so much fun and I'm sure I'll definitely be doing more in the future!
This brings my GIU week for Unity Stamps, to a close. I've loved each and every minute of my GIU week and hope you've enjoyed my posts as much as I've enjoyed doing them. I hope I was able to bring you some inspiration and motivation to try new things.
A quick reminder, be sure to each of my GIU posts this week, for your chance to win a grab bag of stamps from Unity Stamp Company. (Thier grab bags rock, too!) I'll be drawing two commentors, who've commented on every one of my GIU post this week, as my lucky winners! But, hurry, you are running out of time to get your comments in! I'll be drawing my winners by Monday night at the latest! So, if you haven't, already, get busy commenting!
Also stop by Teresa's blog this week, Purple Bunny Paper Crafts, and comment each day, there, on her GIU post, for two more chances to win! That's right, she has two Unity Stamp grab bags to giveaway, as well!
Thank you, again, everyone for your support this week and for your lovely comments. Thank you, also, Unity Stamp Company, for this awesome opportunity!

Come see the awesome talent of the design team, at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog!
I have to admit, this project was quit challenging! We were given a digi "Puzzle," I like to call it. Each part is printed separate and you're able to piece them together, however you want. I have to say, it was a lot of fun to figure out how I wanted to put it together. I hope you like my finished project!
My card uses the image, Chessie Catnip Flower Pot Pretties, from Lacy Sunshine, colored with Promarkers. I used this fun paper, from my stash, with hearts and animal footprints. I thought it would go great with this fun kitty image! I fussy cut each part of the image and put them all together, individually, to create this 3D image. I used striped paper across the center of the card.

It's A Christmas In July ABC
Well hello there! Are you enjoying the Christmas In July festivities this week, at Catch The Bug?! The Design Team sure is having fun! We hope you are, too! Hopefully you've been playing along in our daily challenges, too!
Today, our challenge theme, today, is to use a particular color scheme, for your project. You can see the color scheme today, over in today's challenge post, at Catch The Bug - But, basically, the colors are shades of green, purples and pinks.
Today is normally ABC day at Catch The Bug - so Its my assigned day to do an ABC - Anything But A Card. I chose to do this fun Christmas Ornament. I used a miniataure train track from Mayberry Street Miniatures, painted it with Silks Acrylic Metallic Green paint and used lavender ribbon to hang it. Then, I attached this fun image, Christmas Kids - Boy 2, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I thought it was pretty creative! What do you think about it?!

Let's Bring Out The Vintage
Welcome to our Vintage Challenge at Hobbycutz. I'm ashamed to say, this theme is a bit out of my comfort zone. I've only done a Vintage card one other time, so this was a real challenge for me! Oh, but that just goes to show you - Never be afraid to try something new and step out of your comfort zone! You just may surprise yourself! You have two weeks to step out of your comfort zone with us this time, and play along! We are so excited to see all your vintage creations, so come play along with us!
My card uses the image Britanny 1920's Flapper, from Artbymiran, I used a wood cut frame from Hobbycutz. I covered the frame in white tulle and added the fussy cut image to the center. Around the frame, I added pearls, for vintage appeal. I used pealrs, also in the upper right and lower left corners of the center panel. The top left and bottom right corners are adorned with a paper flower and punched greenery. The punch is the Branch Punch, By Martha Stewart.

Gimme Some Treats, Scarecrow!
Top of Altered Treat Container
Welcome to ABC Monday at Catch The Bug! If you aren't familiar with ABC Monday, you should be! LOL! ABC Stands for Anything But A Card! This is the day we inspire you by showing off a different kind of creation - Something other than a card. There are some fabulous ABC creations, today, at Catch The Bug, so please come over and check us out - Let us Inspire You to get started on those handmade holiday gifts!
I made this cute little treat container, in fall colors. Originally, this little glass jar came filled with paper flowers. I saved the jar and recycled it to make this cute treat container! Cute, isn't it?! All papers used are from my stash. I've used the image Scarecrow - Pumpkin String from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with promarkers. I printed the image twice, fussy cutting the first one, to attach to the front of the jar, with foam mounting tape. The second image, I punched with a circle punch and matted with a scalloped circle, to decorate the lid. This makes a great gift idea and who doesn't love candy, right?!
What do you have, that you can recycle into a holiday gift this season?!

Baby Girl Teepee Card
Hey folks! Today is the start of a new challenge over at Catch The Bug! This week's saturday challenge is one of everyone's favorites..... Bingo! Bingo challenges are sooo much fun and, of course, there are chances to win fabulous prizes from Bugaboo Stamps, so be sure you come by and check out our Bingo board!
Today I have created for you a fancy fold card - This one is a teepee card. Isn't it adorable? I made it for a friend who just had a baby. This card is 3D freestanding so mommy can put it in the baby's room as part of the decor, if she chooses. The card folds flat for mailing, but opens up into a teepee and closes with velcro. Very cool, isn't it? For today's card, I've used the image Moon Baby - Swing, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I've cut out the image usinf fussy cutting. I used some 3D puffy stickers to embellish the card. Glitter and sparkle has been added to the moon, on the image, with a clearstar gelly roll pen.
My card creates this Bingo: Sparkle, Bugaboo Image, Player's Choice: Sentiment.

The Luck of The Irish
Good Morning, bloggers! Hope you are all having a wonderful morning! Can you believe its almost March, already?! Whoo Hoo Spring is just around the corner, now! I can't wait! Do You Feel Lucky?! (Remember that song - I feel Lucky? Definitely the inspiration for this card!)
Speaking of excitement, we have a new Stella Says Sketch challenge for you, starting today, at Catch The Bug! Remember, you have two weeks to play along with us,so be sure you come over and check out our sketch so you can get your crafting mojo on and join us! As always, there are fabulous digi prize packs up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps.
I have this fun St. Patrick's Day card for you, to ignite that create spark! Want more creative inspiration?! Check out Catch The Bug to see creative genius from the rest of the team! It's well worth checking out!
For my St Patty's day card, today, I have used the current sketch for our latest Stella Says Sketch challenge. I used two brand new images for this card. My card features the images, Ava St Patrick's Day Sitter, and clover, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The green and white shamrock paper is from my stash. I bought this new green and while polka dot paper because it just seemed to match so perfectly and added a touch of fun! I printed and colored Ava, and all the shamrocks, then fussy cut them. The shamrocks and Ava are all attached using foam mounting tape, to allow them to pop for added dimension and 3D effect. Ava is sittin on the larger shamrock, like a good little girl. The sentiment is computer generated and punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.
I'm definitely out of my comfort zone this one, because I always make the standard sized card, unless it would be a fancy fold card. For this one, I went with the tall, thinner oblong card. A definite first for me! I'm pleasantly surprised, though, with how it turned out!
This card is designed to be masculine and is for a very good friend, who truly appreciates a handmade card. I think he's going to love it! Of course, just because its masculine, doesn't men we don't need some bling, right? I added three shiny green pearls, to add that extra touch. The large shamrocks, as well as the shamrocks on Ava's clothing have had sparkle and glitter added, with a clearstar gelly roll pen.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Let's Have A Ball For Christmas!
Good Morning. Bloggers!

I thought this would be the perfect project for this week's tutorial, since we're wrapping up the tail end of our Christmas in July challenge!
My Christmas ornament has a cute digi inside! I fussy cut the image, Jingle Bells, By Shelly's Images, colored with Promarkers, and accented with a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the bells and the bow. I used Red Ribbon from my stash to embellish the ornament hanger.
I think it turned out really cute! This is my first time making one of these, so its a new technique for me! Don't you just love it?! I'd love to hear what you think! Oh, and if you do love it, and want to find out how to make your own, check out my tutorial on how to make this ornament! You can find it, HERE, at the Shelly's Images Blog!

My Favorite Martian

It's new new new new release time, again, at Bugaboo Stamps! And such a far out, out of this world image for you, this time! A fun little martian! Don't be afraid, and don't worry! He's friendly and he loves to play! He admits though, that he'd love to come home with you and live there! Life on Mars has just gotten to be too mundane for him, so he's coming here and looking for lots of Bugaboo loving households to live in! Why don't you head over to Bugaboo Stamps and put him in your cart, today?! He'd love to come home with you!
Of course, we have the wonderful Jodie, of Bugaboo Stamps, to thank for bringing him here for all of us to enjoy! I have a sneaking suspicion he's going to be inviting friends to come play with us, too! Whoo Hoo! A Martian party! How fun would that be?! Hurry over and get him for your very own, and let's see what kind of fun the two of you have together! Point your own spaceship over the blog at Catch The Bug and gaze at the wonders of inspiration that the Bugaboo Stamps DT has created with this little guy! They're out of this world creations!
My project today uses the new release image, Martian, from Bugaboo Stamps, and colored with Promarkers. I used the new metallic Promarkers to color in the spaceship. (Silver in this case) I wanted a funky looking card to show off this little guy, so I went with stars and polka dots, and of course, the color green! I mean, how can we have martians without the color green, right?! Both papers are from my stash and seemed perfect for this card. The clouds are hand cut by me - Yes, I know, its easy to tell, and I didn't do a great job on them, I admit. But this little guy just needed some clouds to fly through and I had to make him some to help him out! The clouds were cut in white, cut out and then sponged in two shades of blue. I attached the clouds and image with foam mounting tape, for dimension. The black and white Baker's Twine is from my stash, as well. I thought it was a nice touch for thew card. The button is recycled from and old shirt I threw away. I tied the baker's twine in a bow, in the center of the button.
This turned out to be a cute masculine card, but then, you could use it for a girl, too, if she's really into cute martian guys! I hear they are out of this world talented!

Key To My Heart

Welcome to another challenge, today, for Terrifically Thrilling Thursday, at Shelly's Images! This week's theme is, "All Tied up." Use ribbon, twine, or anything that "ties" on your project! Get busy creating and then hurry over to Shelly's Images and link up your project, for your chance to play along!
The DT is featuring this awesome valentine's/love set, Key To My Heart, which is available, today, only, for a special price, in the Shelly's Images Store.
For my project today, I altered this cute heart tree, that I found in the dollar section at Target. I'm using the Key To My Heart, by Shelly's Images. The images are colored with Promarkers. I printed each thing multiple times and cut them out using fussy cutting. I used various ribbon scraps from my stash to tie the pieces onto the tree. The Keys are attached to some of the hearts with foam mounting tape.
Here is a close up so you can read the sentiment.

I am entering this altered metal tree in the following challenges:

Do All Things With Love

Are you ready for more fabulous new stuff?! It's new release day at Bugaboo Stamps! Today's New release is Love Blocks-With Love. The DT has created some fabulous projects for you, using this new image. Head on over to Catch The Bug and check them out! You don't want to miss the wonderful inspiration the rest of the DT has made for you!
My card today features the Love Blocks-With Love image from Bugaboo Stamps. I went for a vintage feel to my card this time. (Not the best at achieving vintage, but I'm trying! LOL) So I chose this black cream and yellow paper combo from a new paper stack Santa brought me for Christmas. The bottom fancy bordered piece is embossed and has a velvety texture. I did fussy cutting around the edges to make it a scallop type edge. Absolutely gorgeous paper! I've paired it with some matching non textured stripes. The image is colored with Promarkers and sponged with shades of yellow, and the flowers accented with pearls in various sizes. The smaller image is attached with foam mounting tape for dimension. The ribbon was something different for me! Here's a little tip for The TTT (Tip) at Top Tip Tuesday: Did you know you can color ribbon to match your paper?! How cool is that?! I used the same color ink pad that I used to sponge the image, to sponge the flowers on the ribbon and make them match my paper! I love the look and really must do this more often! The flowers on the ribbon were originally a bright white.

What An Angel

I'm back with another card for you, today! Still working on those Christmas cards! While I'm here, I want to tell you about the new challenge starting today, at Daisy's Doodles. The challenge this fortnight is "Aww What An Angel/Something sweet, with a sketch, which I've followed on today's card. Sketch challenges are my favorite, because they show me different ways to lay out my cards, that I may not have thought of before! Come on over to Daisy's Doodles
and play along with us for your chance to win some awesome digi images!
For today's project I'm using this fortnight's challenge sketch, and this adorable angel image from
Daisy's Doodles. She's colored with Promarkers. All papers are scraps from my stash. The angel has had glitter and sparkle added with a clearstar gelly rollpen. I printed the angel three times then did fussy cutting around each one and layered them on the card with foam mounting tape for dimension.
