It's A Bling Thing With New Sticky Wings at Lacy Sunshine

Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful day, so far, and I hope you are ready for our new challenge over at  Lacy Sunshine.  If you love bling, then we have the perfect challenge for you, this fortnight, too!  Our challenge theme, this time, is.... It's a bling thing!  That's right, baby! We want to see you bling it up! So get out those gemstones, pearls, glitter and bling to your hearts content! Then come on over and link up your creation!

Our challenges last two weeks, so you have plenty of time to play along with us at Lacy Sunshine. My card uses one of the new images. Lil Peanut Brittle, from the Sticky Wings line, by Lacy Sunshine, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. I added glitter to her wings, to add some glittery sparkle, because, after all. who doesn't love sparkle?! For my card layout, I used the sketch at Sketch and Stash.  OF course, I had to add some bling, since this is our challenge theme - So I've added gemstones above and below the image.  I also added gemstones to the tips of her antennae, to the center of her hairbow and to the pocket on her jumper.  She is definitely all about the bling! I finished the card with sheer green ribbon and  matching handmade b ow.

I made this cute little treat container, in fall colors.  Originally, this little glass jar came filled with paper flowers.  I saved the jar and recycled it to make this cute treat container! Cute, isn't it?! All papers used are from my stash. I've used the image Scarecrow - Pumpkin String from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with promarkers. I printed the image twice, fussy cutting the first one, to attach to the front of the jar, with foam mounting tape.  The second image, I punched with a circle punch and matted with a scalloped circle, to decorate the lid.  This makes a great gift idea and who doesn't love candy, right?!

OMG! Super Exciting News - I Made It!

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!

I have some super exciting news to share!  I've been having to sit on my hands and tape my mouth shut, too, in order to keep it secret until it was time to reveal it! Believe me, you have NO IDEA how hard it has been to keep this new to myself! *giggles* Ohhhh But the day has finally come that I can share it.........

           I Made The Lacy Sunshine Design Team!

Oh my gosh, I am so darn excited! I'm still pinching myself, because it's so hard to believe! But, yes, yes, it's really true....

              I'm A Sunshine Girl!  Whoo Hoo! Yay!

I know it's hard to believe! I'm still pinching myself, thinking it's a dream and I'm going to wake up! But so far, I haven't woken up, so it must not be a dream, after all! I think all I've done is given myself bruises from pinching myself! LOL! I am so thrilled and honored to be working with such a talented group of ladies and I can't thank them, enough, for giving me this amazing opportunity!

Anyway, now that I've bounced around and announced my news from the rooftops, its time to show you my first project for Lacy Sunshine.

Our challenge at Lacy Sunshine this fortnight is to use Fall Colors.  Very appropriate for this time of year, don't you think? Also a very easy theme for you to play along with us, so get out your crafting supplies and create some fall colored goodness! Remember, you have two weeks to play along with us for your chance to win awesome prizes! There will be two random winners - One will win 5 images, one will win three images. Here is my fall colors card for our current challenge, and first project, ever, for the Lacy Sunshine DT! I'm using the image Eleanor Bookworm, from Lacy Sunshine. All papers used on this card are scraps from my stash.  What a fun mix of plain, polka dots and stripes! I love how well the papers go together! I've colored the image with Promarkers. My card layout uses the sketch at Feeling Sketchy. Three animal print gemstones were used to embellish the right side of the image, with an added handmade polka dot bow in the top right corner. The bottom left has a funky orange and black animal print button, threaded with brown metallic baker's twine and tied in a handmade bow. Don't you just love how I incorporated the animals prints into the card, for added fun?!

Happy Thanksgiving, Turkey!

Today, I decided to go with a Thanksgiving card. This one is for my friend, Eric.  I make him a card for every birthday and holiday, so this is his Turkey Time card, for this year.  Of course, I went with fall colors to keep with tradition.  I used the image, AKV Thanksgiving - Turkey, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  Glittery, sparkly pearl brads were used to embellish along each side of the image.  I used brown and white bakers twine, threaded through a brown button across the bottom, below the image.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday is here, again! We have a new challenge for you, today, at Shelly's Images?! We're asking you to create projects based on the Tic Tac Toe board, below! This is a fun challenge with so many possibilities!

Oooh and I'm excited to show you my card for this fun challenge! I used the following combination from the Tic Tac Toe board: Twine/Jute, Free Space, Punches.



My card uses today's featured image set, Corn Harvest, from Shelly's Images. Corn Harvest is available, today only, for a special sale price in Shelly's Store.

I had so much fun creating this card. The image was a blast to color. (I used my Promarkers). I admit, I had fun with all the different colors in the ear of corn! LOL. I used my Pennant/Banner punch from Stampin Up. Attached the pieces to some Jute and made a banner for the card. The three different papers I used are all from my stash. I attached the banner, image and sentiment with foam mounting tape, for dimension and 3D effect. The card base is green cardstock embossed with the swiss dots folder.

My card today, features today's featured image and sentiment are from the Fall Friends set, from Shelly's Images. (Available today, only, for a special price, in the Shelly's Images Store.) The image is colored with Promarkers, with the exception of the Jack O' Lantern's Face - I colored that with a yellow highlighter so the Jack O' Lantern would look like it's lit up. His face is popped up with foam mounting tape for dimension and 3D effect. I used a scrap of this fun leaf print paper, a scrap of striped ribbon and some buttons, all in fall colors, from my stash. I recycled the buttons from old clothing I threw away.
