Showing Off Summer

Welcome to our new challenge, at Hobbycutz. This fortnight's theme is your favorite and mine - Anything Goes! Whoo Hoo! You have two weeks to play along and there's great prizes up for grabs! We are so excited to see all your creations, so come play along with us!

I went with a summer themed card in bright, summery colors. My card uses the image, Ashley 3, from The East Wind, colored With Promarkers. I used a pair of flip flop buttons in the bottom right corner. In the top corner, I used a wooden flower diecut from Hobbycutz, then quilled vines to go on each side.  I added a shiny crystalized gemstone pearl to the center of the flower. The sunglasses on the image have been given that "Glass" look, with a clear Glaze pen.

Sexy Wedded Bliss

I have a glittery, sparkly wedding card to show you, today. My card uses the image Wedding Garter, by Kenny K. My something old are my papers, as they are all from my sash. Don't you just love the brown, gold and black color combo? For my something new, I used this gorgeous wood die cut from Hobbycutz. To add color and sparkle, I painted to heart diecut with two colors of gold Twinkling H20's, by Luminarte.

Let's Bring Out The Vintage

Welcome to our Vintage Challenge at Hobbycutz. I'm ashamed to say, this theme is a bit out of my comfort zone. I've only done a Vintage card one other time, so this was a real challenge for me! Oh, but that just goes to show you - Never be afraid to try something new and step out of your comfort zone! You just may surprise yourself! You have two weeks to step out of your comfort zone with us this time, and play along! We are so excited to see all your vintage creations, so come play along with us!

My card uses the image Britanny 1920's Flapper, from Artbymiran, I used a wood cut frame from Hobbycutz. I covered the frame in white tulle and added the fussy cut image to the center. Around the frame, I added pearls, for vintage appeal. I used pealrs, also in the upper right and lower left corners of the center panel. The top left and bottom right corners are adorned with a paper flower and punched greenery. The punch is the Branch Punch, By Martha Stewart.

Fairy Wishes

It's challenge time, at Hobbycutz and we have a fun one for you, today! This round, our challenge is all about Fairies! Get your fairy on and show us what you got! We'd love to see your Fairy creation! Remember, our challenges last for two weeks, so that gives you plenty of time to play along and maybe even win a prize!

My card uses the image Pip, from A and  T Digital Stamps. All papers are from my stash. I used blue gemstones to embellish all the layers. The branch and butterfly are woodcuts from Hobbycutz. I painted them with Twinkling H20's. The butterfly is two different butterflies, double stacked. I used a solid cut butterfly, covered with patterned paper and fussy cut, then stacked another, fancier butterly, on top and added gemstones to the center.

A Sassy Glittery Birthday

Good early morning, everyone! I'm here as an early bird, to tell you about our new challenge over at Hobbycutz! Our theme, this week, is to use glitter or something that glitters/sparkles/shines, on your project. My card uses the image Curvy Baby Doll Sassy, by Sassy Studio Designs, colored with promarkers. I designed this to be a male birthday card, because the image is sassy, and should definitely be appealing to the guys! All papers are from my stash.  I fussy cut the image, then matted her in blue and fussy cut her out once again.  I used this awesome wooden laser cut swirl by Hobbycutz. The die cut has been painted with Twinkling H20's and embellished with clear gemstones, for glitter and sparkle. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 you and is punched with circle punches.

Good early morning, everyone! Wow! Can you believe how time flies?! It's already time for a new Challenge at the Hobbycutz Challenge Blog. Today, I went with a masculine birthday card.  My card uses the image, Gramps,  from Digistamps4Joy, colored with Promarkers. My card layout uses the sketch at Sketch and Stash. All papers are from my stash. My Bingo, from our supplied bingo card, is:   Die Cut by Hobbycutz, Buttons, Bling. I used this fun wooden lattice type laser cut, from Hobbycutz, across the top of the card.  The laser cut has been painted with Twinkling H20's. I've used foam mounting tape to attach the sentiment, for added dimension. Two yellow buttons, threaded with black and white baker's twine, have been added at the top right corner of the image. To finish off the card, we just had to have some bling - So I added three green pearls in the bottom left corner of the card.

Have A Bloomin' Good Easter

Whooo Hoo! I have some great news! I'm here to show you my very first project as part of the Hobbycutz design team! That's right! I made the Hobbycutz DT! Can you beleive it?! What a lucky girl I am! I want to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful Kobie for giving me this fabulous opportunity! I am so looking forward to using the awesome Hobbycutz products once my DT package arrives!

Now that I've given you my great news, let me tell you all about the newest challenge at the Hobbycutz Challenge Blog. Our current challenge is to make an Easter project. My card today uses this adorable image from Squigglefly, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. I've used sheer pink ribbon across the center of the card, with a pink metal brad on each side of the image. Yellow metal brads were placed in each corner of the image.  I added some funky bright colored flowers, with gemstone centers, across the top of the card. The sentiment is punched with the word window punch by Stampin Up.
