Got the tunes cranked up and I'm here, read to tell you about our new challenge at Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenges! Why do I have my tunes cranked up, you ask? Now, on to the details of my card. "Thank You For Being A Friend" is the song that inspired my card. I made this for an amazing friend, who needs some cheering up right now.  I hope she's surprised when she gets this card and some goodies in the mail! Anyway, I went with one of my favorite color combos - Black, White and Pink. My card layout uses the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. All papers are from my stash. I've used a fun mix of papers: Chevron, Polka Dots, Stars and Stripes. I've used the image, Little Monster, by Wonderstrange, hand colored with Promarkers.  I've used pink gemstones and black pearls, to embellish. I added extra sparkle by using a piece of pink glittered ribbon across the center. The image and hearts were mounted with foam tape, for added dimension.This would also make a great card for kids!

I have a friendship card to show you, this time. My card uses the image and sentiment, Chocolate, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  All papers are from my stash. I went with mostly shades of brown, in honor of chocolate, but added a touch of pink. Pink heart shaped gemstones, in two sizes, were used on each side of the image.

My card, today, features an image and sentiment from Mini Set - Flower Garden, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used some pretty printed papers from my stash. I used two handmade pink bows to embellish and three  dark pink pearls.

My card uses the image Lion Love, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used these fun glittered papers from my stash. They're by My Mind's Eye. The hearts were punched with two different sized punches by Making Memories. The sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, by Stampin Up, were punched with the word window and modern label punches.   I used three scraps of brown sheer ribbon, sticking out from the right side of the image.  (They're hard to see, sorry.)

I've Gone Green

Yet another card. This time in multiple shades of green. I've never been a fan of green, but this turned out really cute.

The image and sentiment are from Doodle Pantry.

This card has both stripes and checks, using the two patterned papers from my stash. Flowers are by Prima, with skittles as the centers. The ribbon has an embossed pattern on it, and is from my stash as well. The sentiment is pop dotted.

The image was colored with Promarkers.

It's A Hello Birthday Paint Can

Hi everyone! I'm excited to have a fun new project to show you, today.  I've been dying to post this for everyone to see, but had to wait till the recipient received it, since it was a birthday gift. Are you ready to see something different from me?! How about checking out this altered paint can that I made for my friend, Sheila, for her birthday?! She loves hello Kitty, so I knew it was perfect for her!

I bought an empty paint can from Home Depot and covered it with scrapbook papers in polka dots and stripes.  The color theme is red, white and blue.  I used Hello Kitty stickers, as well as some Hello Kitty digital clip art, colored with Promatkers, to decorate the can.  The middle of the can has a band of red glittered ribbon. I've used sparkly shiny ribbon pieces in red, white and blue, to tie on the handles.

To decorate this paint can, I incorporated the themes of Birthday, Girlie and Friendship to make the perfect gift for a wonderful friend. It also reminds me of my childhood, since I loved Hello Kitty as a child. I'd have loved to have received this, as a kid, wouldn't you?!

I filled the can with lots of Hello Kitty goodies for Sheila, including a Hello Kitty watch!
