Got the tunes cranked up and I'm here, read to tell you about our new challenge at Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenges! Why do I have my tunes cranked up, you ask? Well, because this fortnight, our challenge is a Song Inspiration challenge! Whoo Hoo! How fun it that?! Now, on to the details of my card. "Thank You For Being A Friend" is the song that inspired my card. I made this for an amazing friend, who needs some cheering up right now.  I hope she's surprised when she gets this card and some goodies in the mail! Anyway, I went with one of my favorite color combos - Black, White and Pink. My card layout uses the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. All papers are from my stash. I've used a fun mix of papers: Chevron, Polka Dots, Stars and Stripes. I've used the image, Little Monster, by Wonderstrange, hand colored with Promarkers.  I've used pink gemstones and black pearls, to embellish. I added extra sparkle by using a piece of pink glittered ribbon across the center. The image and hearts were mounted with foam tape, for added dimension.This would also make a great card for kids!

Monstrous String Of Hearts

My card, today, uses the Freebie Friday Image Monster Heart Strings, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. For my card layout, I followed the sketch at Sketch And Stash. I've never been lucky enough to win there, but I keep playing along because I do love thier sketches! I've used this awesome black and silver striped ribbon across the bottom panel of the card, topped off with a handmade bow from the same ribbon. I used two different washi tapes down one side of the top and bottom panels. Red gemstones and black glittered pearls were used to embellish two two panels.

Have A Masculine Birthday

The birthday celebration continues on with challenges every day this week at Catch The Bug! Whoo Hoo! Today's challenge theme is to make a masculine birthday card.  For some of you this may be difficult but trust me, you can do it! Bugaboo Stamps has lots of digi stamps just perfect for making male cards, so check  out thier store! I've created a masculine birthday card using the image Scene It - Monster Birthday, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I always go with clean and simple for masculine cards, usually, unless its for someone really special. The buttons are recycled from old clothing I threw out.  I used twine in them to add that extra touch.  The papers are all from my stash.

What A Monstrous Treat!

Another 12 Days of Halloween Project from Simply Betty Stamps

This one is for Day 8 and shows a monster! I went with a little treat box, this time.

Oooo isn't it spooky?! I'd hate to wake up and see this in my room! LOL The monster image is from Wonderstrange. I used scraps from my stash and followed the Repeat Impressions Sketch 01911. I added some bling to the handle of the treatbox with adhesive gems.
