It's a Pirate Teddy!

My card uses the new release image, Pirate bear, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash.  I wanted to be different, so I stayed away from "Pirate" type colors or fall colors - And this is what I came up with. (Not bad from working from my stash of scraps!) I love how the houndstooth patterns and the strips go together, with those polka dots between them, for contrast. This is a clean and simple card, designed for the guys, so no frills or embellishments, just clean and simple!

Enter The Darkside

Have you ever wanted to explore your dark side of crafting? Well I have, but just never really ventured that way more than once or twice. But, then, I came across a DT call for a new dark challenge blog..... I debated... and I debated..... and I debated, again..... Then I thought, what the heck - I should apply! What better time than the present, to try something new - So I applied for a DT spot on the new dark challenge blog, Forever Dark. I was so surprised, and thrilled, when Anna contacted me and offered me a spot on the team! Whoo Hoo! Can you believe it! I'm going to explore my dark side in crafting, as part of the DT at Forever Dark Challenge!

So, the time has come for the first ever challenge at the Forever Dark Challenge Blog! The first challenge is an easy one - Anything Goes! We are a monthly challenge blog, so you have plenty of time to play along and link up with us!  There are awesome prizes up for grabs! Now, let me tell you all about my first project for Forever Dark. I mostly do cards, but I would love to get more into doing other types of crafts, especially altered items.  For my first project, I decided to try altering a wooden frame, which I've painted black.  I have used the image, Coralyne, from ArtiDoodles, colored with Promarkers and Copics.  I used Copics for the hair and tried the "flicking" method - I think it turned out pretty good for a second attempt at this method!. I've used flowers at the top of the frame, to add a pop of color. The flowers were recycled from an old flower arrangement. I placed a black and gold spider in the center of the two flower sprigs. This was such a fun project and I love how it turned out.  What do you think of my first Forever Dark project?

from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. My sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. I used black pearls to embellish the left side panel.

Wine Takes The B@#$% Right Out Of Me

My Oldie But Goodie card, today, uses the image and sentiment set, Stella - Wine, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. Ive used papers from my stash.  The green polka dotted ruffled ribbon is from Stampin Up.  I used a gold metallic bow from my stash. The silver and blue metal discs are also from my stash.  Lots of stash used on this one!

Bras Are Like Friends

My card, today, features the image, JJ Block - Bras Are Like Friends, from Bugaboo Stamps. colored with Promarkers. I used a fun embossing folder to emboss dots all over the pink cardstock.  Pearls and buttons were used to embellish the card.  The buttons are recycled from an old shirt I threw away when cleaning out closets.

Love and Romance at Paper Creations Ink

Yay! It's Finally time! I've been holding it under my hat for awhile now.. and now the day is finally here! I'm the Guest Designer at Paper Creations Ink this fortnight! Whooo Hoo! How cool is that?! I love playing along in their challenges, so I was very thrilled when Sara gave me the opportunity to play along with the team for one challenge! Such a talented group they are, so I'm in wonderful company!

I decided to go with a Tri Fold Shutter card. I always send my single friend a card for Valentine's Day, so this card will be for him. Here is the front of my card, when folded:

The image is from Smeared Ink, and is colored with Promarkers. I used all papers from my stash. I love the houndstooth mixed with the hearts and polka dots! It's such a funky combination and seemed perfect for the image. I also got a chance to use some of my new heart shaped adhesive gems on this one, to add some sparkle and bling. I had seen a card similar to this before, and had been wanting to make something resembling it, for a long time, so I was happy when I could find enough of the similar items! The lips came in a valentine die cuts package that I bought - I was so lucky to get them! The SWAK , tag and love U were cut from the Cricut.
