Easel Mother's Day

Good Morning Bloggers!

Happy Mother's Day to all those mom's out there and to all those moms who are no longer with us!

I'm back with another challenge and another card for you, today!  Today starts a new  challenge over at Catch The Bug!  Today's challenge is Anything Goes, so you can enter anything you've created! . What did you create for your mom for Mother's Day? We'd love to see it! We'd love to see anything and everything you've created! Remember, anything goes! Come on over to Catch The Bug and link up your fabulous projects and show them off! You have a whole week to enter, so if you havent created anything today, you still have time to play along with us! You could be one of our random winners and snatch up some awesome digi images from wonderful artist Jodie Mackrell, creator of Bugaboo Stamps!

My mother is no longer with me, but it is still a day to remember her.  Today's card is a Mother's Day card.  My card uses the image, Heel Accessories, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I just love easel cards! It's considered a fancy fold card, but is so easy to make!  This one is exceptionally easy, as its all one piece of cardstock, with multiple score lines.  This card folds flat and is easily mailed, so no special envelope is needed.  I have kept this card simple. I've only used pearls and ribbon, to embellish.  The pink ribbon is tied into a handmade bow. The sentiment is Hand Stamped and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches, by Stampin Up.

I am entering this Mother's Day easel card in the following Challenges:

An Easel Note Pad and Pen Holder For Mom

Good Morning! It's ABC Monday at Catch The Bug - That's right! Anything But A Card? Are you ready to see a fabulous group of projects - Anything But A Card? I hope so, because you will love what we have to show you today! Stop over at Catch The Bug and check them out! You're sure to be inspired!

I made this cute Note Pad and Pen Holder, as a Mother's Day Gift. I love that it is made totally from Carsdstock and patterned paper! So cute! The note pad holder is actually an easel that stands up, much like an easel card. You can see the easel fold in the side view pic, below.

This note pad and pen holder is now one of my favorite fancy fold projects!

I am Using the image, Spring Boot, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with  both Promarkers and Copics. All patterned papers are from my stash (Thanks to the Hot Buys at Michael's)! On the front of the Note Pad Pocket, I've used a scalloped oval border punch, to punch a border in black and white patterned paper, placed across the center.  I then trimmed the top of the scalloped paper with a strip of sheer red and white polka dot ribbon.  I actually made a handmade bow, too, but accidentally threw it away when I cleaned up my paper scraps - And the bow was made with my LAST piece of that ribbon! Don't you hate it when that happens! Grr!

A Flowery Mother's Day

Welcome to another Oldie But Goodie Thursday at Catch The Bug, where we bring those older, oh so wonderful Bugaboo Stamps images, back into the spotlight, for your viewing pleasure! What a fun way to renew that creative energy, don't you think? Bounce on over to Catch The Bug to see all the Oldie But Goodie inspiration, this week!

Since Mother's Day is this weekend, I just had to go with another Mother's Day card.  Of course, I no longer have my mother with me, except in memories, but this card is in tribute to her. I love you, mom! I wanted to do a fancy fold, so I went with my old favorite, an easel card. My card uses the image oval roses, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The glittered paper is a scrap from my stash. I used gemstones to embellish. The sheer maroon ribbon, also from my stash, is tied into a handmade bow. the sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Happy Mother's Day

Are you ready for a new challenge? This fortnight, we are celebrating Mother's Day at Ooh La La. Come on over and show us how you celebrate mom. If you play along with us, you could win some fabulous products!

I admit, I had a hard time with this project. I lost my mom last year around Mother's Day, after numerous hospital stays. It was so hard on all of us and it is so hard to believe she is gone.

Anyway, I apologize, in advance, for the fact this card certainly isn't one of my best.

For my project, I've created a card using all digi papers and elements from ooh La La Creation's new "All Dressed Up" CD. This CD has tons of wonderful papers and fashion related images. There's also a section called The Flower Shop, which is where this particular selection is from. You can get this CD here.

For the layout, I used the sketch at Sew many Challenges. I went with shades of purple and blue this time. As you know, if you visit my blog often, I love purple. This paper is gorgeous and I couldn't wait to use it once I seen it on the new CD. The circular sentiment and the image are both attached using foam tape, for dimension.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Challenge #110 Mother's Day at Crafty Creations
Challenge #27 Spring Flowers at Scrapbook Sisters

My card, today, is for Mother's Day, for a special woman.  It's featuring the image, AKV Smell Flowers, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.
