Recycle For Christmas

It's time for another challenge at Catch The Bug! We want to see your recycled items on your projects! Wow, another recycle challenge! How cool is that?! As always, there are awesome digi prize packs up for grabs, from Bugaboo Stamps! Come play along with us, for your chance to win!

For my card, I've decided to get an early start on Christmas! My card uses the image, AKV Winter Fairy - Skates, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. My recycled item is a white ribbon recycled from an old organza gift bag. How's that for repurposing?! I also added a handmade bow, made from blue and white polka dotted ribbon.  In the top corner is a handmade flower, made of patterned paper and secured in the center with a blue metal brad.  My sentiment is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches.

What's Under The Tree, Santa?

Wow, I am back, again! Are you tired of seeing me, yet?! LOL!  I'm here, today, to tell you about New Release Tuesday at Catch The Bug.  This is where we showcase creations using one of today's new releases, from Bugaboo Stamps. Today, we are showing off AKV Santa Under The Tree.  Adorable image isn't it? Remember, this new release is available, today at Bugaboo Stamps, so get yours in time to create for Christmas! My card features the image,AKV Under The Tree, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used a fun mix of glittered papers from my stash. Glitter and sparkle has been added to the image, using a clearstar gelly roll pen. The bottom has been embellished with a handmade bow. I've also used red card candi scattered over the card.  The top left corner has a handmade flower secured with a brad in the center. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches.

Bearing Daisies

So, are you all still stuffed from the huge Thanksgiving meal you had?! If you're like me, you're already sick of turkey! Honestly,I was already sick of it after one day of leftovers! So glad it's finally gone! Phew!

I actually have a non Christmas card to show you,today! Can you believe it?! I've been in a huge Christmas card mood lately, so I thought I'd switch it up for you, this time.


My card today is for my free week at Daisy Doodles. The image is a new release, called Bearin' Daisies. I've colored the image with Promarkers. The papers are all scraps from my scrap drawer. I've used this gorgeous crocheted lace trim from American Crafts. The flower is handmade Crochet as well, with a pearl used as the flower center. The leaves are punched with a punch by Martha Stewart.


This would make a great all occasion or thank you card.

Make Your Own Flowers at Shelly's Images

Happy Thursday, everyone! Hope you're all having a wonderful day! I've had a busy week but have some wonderful things going on, so I'm a happy girl!

Anyway, I'm here, today, to share a project with you and tell you about a brand new Teriffically Thrilling Thursday at Shelly's Images! That means its time for a new challenge, and some yummy eye candy from the DT.

Please remember that we are in the process of transitioning through some changes at Shelly's Images. We're going to be having our Challenges go in hand and in hand with the featured images, each week, on Thursdays. However, some of the DT worked ahead and had projects done before the change was made, so things aren't quite in synch again this week. This week's featured image will not match the challenge on all projects. Please bear with us while we make the final steps to get it all together. Starting next week, the featured image and the sketch will go hand in hand, so there will be no confusion.

This week's challenge at Shelly's Images is to make your own flowers. I've created this yummy card for you as inspiration:

For my project today, I'm using the May Flowers image, colored with Promarkers, from Shelly's Images. I chose pink and green because it makes a great color combo. Both papers are scraps from my stash.
I used this gorgeous hand crocheted flower, and accented it with sprigs of greenery, punched with the Martha Stewart branch punch. The sheer white ribbon is from my stash and compliments the flower so nicely.

For my card today I got out my oh so fun Adirondack paint daubers again. I love these things because you can dab them directly onto your stamps and use the paint like ink! Fun stuff! The background paper is crimped with my paper crimper. I used a couple of background stamps to create this cool handmade layered flower with a button center. The sentiment is also stamped in paint. I used this cute hippie chick digi stamp from Sassy Studio Designs. Isn't she fab?! I absolutely love her! She's so groovy! This card turned out so cute! I'm going to send it to my cousin who's going through some tough times and could use some cheer right now.

Anything Goes And I'm Thinking Birthday

One of my co-workers has a delightful little granddaughter, who's having a birthday, this month. I generally do something for little Sativa-Ann, for her birthday. This year, I wanted to be different. I decided to make this cute little birthday bucket filled with candy.

The bucket has styrofoam in the bottom, with easter grass on top. The sticks are wooden skishkabob skewers that I bought last summer, for grilling shishkabobs, and still had some lying around the house. The Image (Nesbitt) and tickets are by Digital Delights By Louby Lou. I've colored the image with Promarkers. The "flowers" are punched with scalloped circles, with the ticket sentiments attached to them, with foam mounting tape. I attached the punched flowers and Nesbitt image to the skewers with hot glue. The ribbon around the bucket is from my stash. After adding my skewers to the bucket, I filled the bucket with candy.

I think little Sativa-Ann is going to love this birthday gift!

All Hung Up For Christmas

Stamping With The Dragon has a new challenge for you, today! The theme is "Make It Spartkle," and we're being sponsored by the Stitchy Bear Stamps store. They have stamps from so many fantastic designers, including those who provided the digi paper Pack and images (FLoppy Latte, Stitchy Stamps and Kelley's Kids) for the DT to work with this week.

The challenge winner this time gets to choose 5 images (total) of thier choice from Kelley's Kids, Floppy Latte and/or Stitchy Stamps. Isn't that a fab prize?!

For My project, I made a Christmas door hanger in non traditional Christmas colors, using the sketch at Crazy 4 Challenges. I used a digi paper pack by Floppy Latte. This paper pack is full of yummy papers! It was hard to choose which parts I wanted to use! So many fantastic choices! This cute image is by Kelley's Kids and is colored with Promarkers. I used papers from my stash and decorated an inchie with a handmade flower, and some sparkly glittered leaves, and added that as en embellishment. More sparkle was added by using a clear star gelly roll pen on the bulbs on the string of lights this little cutie is holding. I used a punch by EK Succes, for the scalloped circle frame. The cute christmas sentiment tag says, "Dear Santa, I can explain..."
