Text Me While I'm Thinking Of You

Thanks so much to all of you for all of your fabulous entries in last week's challenge at Craft Your Passion! We have another fun challenge for you today! Our theme this week is "Text me." We want to see some text, sentiment, etc, somewhere on your project! Fun and easy challenge this time, so be sure you play along!

For my project, I chose to alter this cute birdhouse. The birdhouse was painted with Adirondack paint daubers and then stamped with a background stamp, on the roof of the birdhouse. The front and sides are stamped with a flower stamp, and pearls added to the centers of the flowers. The bird on the front is a digi image by CocoDingo. The image is colored using Promarkers and attached with foam mounting tape for dimension. All stamping on this project was done using paints, instead of ink.

This was a fun project to do! I hope you were able to get some inspiration out of it!

Knight In Shining Armour

Hey Hey, what do you say? Are you ready for another Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images?! We have a fun image to share with you today. Those of you who love medievil times will love this one! I fell in love with it when I seen it and knew I had to create something special with him!

Our featured image today at Shelly's Images is this cute boy on a horse, called Knight. I've used him to make this fun altered castle as a gift for a friend who loves Medievil and fantasy as much as I do.

I found this cool wooden castle at Michael's and knew instantly it would be perfect to go with the Knight image! I used paint daubers by Adirondack, to paint the castle silver. The image is colored with Promarkers. I used scraps of patterned paper and the new banner punch from Stampin Up to create the fun banner to hang from the castle. The image is attached with foam mounting tape for dimension.

I had so much fun making my little castle. I hope you like it!

For my card today I got out my oh so fun Adirondack paint daubers again. I love these things because you can dab them directly onto your stamps and use the paint like ink! Fun stuff! The background paper is crimped with my paper crimper. I used a couple of background stamps to create this cool handmade layered flower with a button center. The sentiment is also stamped in paint. I used this cute hippie chick digi stamp from Sassy Studio Designs. Isn't she fab?! I absolutely love her! She's so groovy! This card turned out so cute! I'm going to send it to my cousin who's going through some tough times and could use some cheer right now.

Ahhhhh Summer! Enjoy!

Hey Hey Hey! It's time for a new challenge at Shelly's Images! Today, we want to see you make a project with something you've recycled or reused. It's so important in today's world to recycle as much as we can, and help save the earth. Go green!

For my project, I've made a card that is also a gift card Holder. The flap with the button opens up to reveal a gift card insert. (Sorry, no pic of the inside.. I forgot to take one! LOL)

My project uses Happy Hour Strawberry from Shelly's Images. The image is colored with Promarkers and sparkle added with a clear star gelly roll pen. The flowers are rubber stamps and are stamped using dauber paints. The flowers have been cut out and pop dotted for dimension. The sentiment, Enjoy, is a rubber stamp and has been stamped on canvas. (Something new I tried and I love it!) The button is recycled from an old shirt I threw away. (TIP: Want to use a button on your project, but don't have one to match? Use Adirondack paints or markers to color your button to the color you need!) I painted the button with Adirondack paint dauber, to match my project. The flap with the button is secured with velcro to open and close the card. I used gems from my stash as the flower centers.

My card uses no DP, this time! Can you believe it?! The background and text on the card are all created with the Tim Holtz Paint daubers and background rubber stamps. It was so much fun to make my own background. The sentiment, birthday wishes, is stamped onto canvas. (My first time trying that, and its so cool!) The flowers are by Hero Arts and are stamped and cut out, then coated with Tim Holtz distress crackle paint. I used stickles on a couple of the flowers, as well. The image is from Didge's Doodles and is colored with Promarkers. I used gemstones for the flower centers.
