Over The Hill Birthday

Today I have a new card to show you.  We all know masculine cards can be tough to make, so I'm always happy when I come up with one that seems to come together fairly quickly. This one just seemed to come to me, easily and I'm really happy with it! Perfect for a male birthday!

My card uses the image and sentiment set, Gus Birthday - Over The Hill, from Bugaboo stamps, colored with Promarkers, (available in the Simon Says Stamp, store!). I used three different gambling theme papers that were all scraps from my stash. The left upper and left lower corners of the card are decorated with a strip of black and white polka dot washi tape. I used three buttons (2 blue and 1 red) threaded with baker's twine to embellish two corners of the image and bring out the colors in the image. Gus has had wiggly eyes added to him, to give that extra touch of whimsy! For my card layout, I've used the sketch at Sketch N Stash.

Santa's Peeking In!

My card today uses the current Stella Says Sketch, and features this week's freebie image, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used the sketch at Sketch and Stamp for my card layout. I went with traditional Christmas colors.  The image wiggles when you move the card and is mounted with an adhesive wobbly spring.  (Sorry, I don't know the official name for them - The package says wobbles LOL) I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the image. The metal metallic silver snowflakes are from my stash.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.
