Happy saturday, everyone!  hope you enjoyed all of our Christmas in July festivities at Catch The Bug! Now we're back to our regular challenge schedule, with today's challenge.  This time, we have a sketch challenge for you! Perfect for helping you come up with ideas for new card layouts.  Remember, we have our usual digi prize packages up for grabs from Bugaboo Stamps, so hurry over to Catch The Bug, check out the sketch and play along!

My card today uses the image summer duck - suntan, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used the sketch, of course, from this week's sketch challenge at Catch The Bug. I've used this gorgeous pleated Stampin Up ribbon, from my stash.  The flip flops are stickers from my stash, matted with card stock and attached with foam mounting tape for dimension.  The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.  I love how this card just screams summer!

My apologies for the glare on the flip flops in the pic.  The sheen from the stickers played tricks with the camera.

Have A Bright And Sunny Christmas

Whoo hoo, here we are, again, with another fabulous mini challenge at Catch The Bug, as we continue our Christmas In July celebration! This time, we are providing you the image, and we want you to use it to create a "Tropical Christmas."  The sky's the limit on how you interpet tropical.  It could be sand, beaches, fruity drinks, the ocean, a pool, or even just tropical colors!  Let's see you get "tropical" with us!  Hurry over and get your image so you can play along with us!  You don't want to miss out on the fabulous prizes from Bugaboo Stamps!

My card, today, is a tropical themed Christmas card, using Tropical Santa - Sand, from Bugaboo Stamps.  This is the freebie image for this challenge! Whoo Hoo!  He is colored with Promarkers.  Of course, his glasses needed to shine since he's stylin,' so I added shine to them with a clear glaze pen.  The top left and bottom right corners are embellished with rain dots.

Vacation Memories

Under The Sea

With that out of the way, I just had to tell you about today's new challenge at Stamp Insanity! This fortnight, its Anything Goes! Whoo Hoo! I know how much all of you love that challenge theme, and I must admit, it's one of my favorites, too! Be sure you come on over to Stamp Insanity and play along with us! We love to see your creations!


My card layout uses the sketches at Sketches By Carly and at Corrosive. I've used a purple and blue combo this time. It seemed perfect for this awesome Mermaid image. The image is by Stamp Insanity and is colored with Promarkers. Glitter and sparkle has been added to the image with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I got busy with the punches on this one, too! I used oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up, and a corner punch by EK Success. I absolutely love this layout! It's one of my favorites! The colored crystal accents are Tear Drops by The Robin's Nest.

Life's A Beach!

Time to take a break from the creepy creations, and remember that it's summer!

This little girl is enjoying the summer weather. The girl image is called Flip Flops and is from Stitchy Bear Stamps. Isn't she cute?! She reminds me of one of those Bathing Beauties on the old TV Show, "Baywatch." All items for this card are from my Stash, except the image is new to me. I made this card, along with one other, for a DT challenge, and only the one was used, so I figured I would post this one here so I could still share it.

I really like the colors turquoise and teals but I'm not sure I like it with the coral color. Coral is kind of a strange color.. it doesnt really go with a lot of things. The background paper is from My Mind's Eye. The sun image is pop dotted for dimension. I don't remember where the sun image is from. I got it as a freebie back before I was smart enough to realize that I should file my digis under the name of the Designer so I could give them proper credit. If anyone knows who the designer is of the sun image, please let me know, so I can give proper credit.
