Let's Take A Vacation

Welcome back to another challenge at Open Minded Crafting. We have a new challenge and new theme for you, today.  Our challenge theme this fortnight is Vacation Related. It's summer, so what better theme to play along with. than vacation! Remember, you have to be in it to win it, so come play along at Open Minded Crafting, for your chance to win one of these fabulous prizes!

I took a different approach to the theme and made a retirement card - Because, after all, isn't retirement like a long vacation?! My card uses the image Jumpin Jellybean 2 in 1, from Beansie Doodles, colored with Promarkers. I used  blue and white polka dotted washi tap across the bottom and embellished with three unusually shaped gemstones.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

You're A Grrreat Dad, And I'm Not Lion!

Are you ready to show us your attitude?! I hope so, because we have another wonderful challenge for you, today, at Digi's With Attitude!
Since it is so close to Father's Day, it seemed like the perfect challenge theme for this week. I really hope you'll play along with us! We can't wait to see your Father's Day creations

As always, we have awesome goodies to give away! As usual, Digi's With Attitude! is giving away a $10 gift certificate to their awesome new store! One winner for every 25 entries, plus a chance at being named Honorable Mention and/or Card of the Month!

Plus, we're being sponsored by the oh so popular Stitchy Bear Stamps store, who's giving one lucky winner at $10 gift certificate to their store!

Don't miss out on these fabulous prizes! Come on over to Digi's With Attitude! and play along! We can't wait to see what you create!

My card layout follows the sketches at Sketch N Stash and at I Love Promarkers. (I admit I LOVE this sketch!!) The image is colored with Promarkers and is available in the Digi's With Attitude! store, here. I went with 3 different patterned papers, in bright summery colors. Doesn't the polka dots and stripes look great together?! The striped paper is new, the rest are from my stash. I love this color combo! One of the sentiments is punched with circle punches. Both sentiments are attached with foam mounting tape, for dimension. The buttons are recycled from an old shirt I threw out when I cleaned the closet. The golden brown gems are from a goodie package I won, in a blog hop.
