My card has the following bingo: Die Cut/Punch. Player's Choice (Pearls), Flowers. I went with a girlie girl theme, since it seems to go perfect with this image. After all, what girl doesn't love her shoes, purses and make up, right?! I've used the image Heel Accessories, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. To stay with the girlie theme, I've added layers of flowers with pearl centers, as well as a trio of pearls in the bottom left corner. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches/

Gus Is Over The Hill!

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Are you ready for Oldie But Goodie Thursday, at Catch The Bug?! The DT has some fabulous creations to show you today, so be sure to head over and check them out!

For my card, today, I brought Gus out to play! This image is Gus Birthday - Over The Hill, by Bugaboo Stamps. I really had fun with this one, and Gus is one of my favorite fellas! He's colored with Promarkers. My card layout follows the Sketch at Sketches By Carly. This was my first time making a card with a pocket on it, and I really like how it turned out. I bought these new little kraft bags/pockets with white cardstock inserts, at Hobby Lobby, and used one on the card. All papers are from my stash. The brown card base is embossed with the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder. I also embossed the green panel with circles, with another Cuttlebug folder. I found these cute birthday buttons in my button stash and thought they'd make fun embellishments. I cut the shanks off to make them lay flat. The papers and ribbon are all from my stash. The green "Birthday" button is attached to the pocket/bag insert with foam mounting tape, so that the button can be used to slide the insert out, for a handwritten message.

A Toast to 2011

Happy Challenge Day at Ooh La La. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! Now that another Christmas has passed, so to has another year almost passed. Wow! Where has all the time gone?! Here we are knocking on the door of 2011! I cannot believe how quickly the year has flown by! In celebration of the New Year, we are asking you to celebrate with us, by creating a project with the theme, "A Toast to 2011."

My card, again, uses that wonderful Weaved Paper that everyone seems to love. The digi paper is from the Joyeux Noel CD by ooh La LaCreations. You can get this fantastic CD in Ooh La La Creations' shop, here. I love using these CD's because everything is pre-colored and it is so quick and easy to make a card! Just print, cut, glue, and embellish! No coloring required, which saves lots of time!

The image is a freebie from Beccy's Place. I knew it would be a perfect combination, paired with papers by Ooh La La, for a New Year's Card! As always, I've colored the image with Promarkers, and added glitz, glitter and sparkle with my clearstar gelly roll pen. The strawberries in the image didn't have the black dots, so I added those myself -- It just seemed to be missing something without those! The black and silver metallic ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated and punched using the oval and scalloped oval punches, by Stampin Up. Foam mounting tape has been used to attach the sentiment, for dimension.
