I went with a card for a teacher, today, for my project.  I've used the new release image, school bear - pencil, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  I did fussy cutting around the image and then matted it in black and did more fussy cutting.  All papers are from my stash. The border was punched using a punch by Martha Stewart.  I used this fun fun school days ribbon that I purchased from Hobby Lobby.  The glittered star is from my stash.  My card layout uses the Sketch at The Sweet Stop.

It's Time For Back To School

Wow, can you beleive how fast the summer is flying by?! Here we are, already, with Back To School time! I'm sure the kids out there aren't really ready for it, but I know most of the moms are! LOL

Today, we start a new challenge at Catch The Bug! The theme is a photo inspiration, and of course, what better type of photo to take inspiration from right now, than a back to school photo!  Remember, there are prizes to be won, from Bugaboo Stamps, for playing along, so be sure you head over to Catch The Bug to see the inspiration photo and link up your creation!

My card today uses the image AKV School - Kids, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used a piece of die cut paper at the top to create a border.  Oh, and you have to love this fun mix of school themed papers! I went with a clean simple card with minimal embellishments. I used a scrap of ribbon and a red button recycled from old clothing.  For my card layout, I used sketch #58 at Sketches By Carly.

Let's Go Back To School

It's Terrifically Thrilling Thursday at Shelly's Images, which means challenge time!

As our followers know, we are starting to change the way challenges and featured images work at Shelly's Images. Our featured images and challenge posts will now be incorporated into one post, on a single day, rather than spread out over two days in the week. Some of the challenge themes and featured images were already set, before the decision was made to combine them. So, for a brief period of time, the featured images may not match the challenge theme. Please bear with us while we ease into this adjustment. Everything is starting to come together and we're thrilled with the new format!

I'm the lucky one to have created the eye candy for you today, for our weekly challenge. My card uses back to this new school paper. I added sparkle to the flourish on the paper with my clearstar gelly roll pen. The black and white polkda dotted brads are from my stash. The images (apple and pencil) and sentiment are from the Kidz Korner at Shelly's Images. The Kidz Korner section are all freebies and the images were drawn by Shelly's daughter, Taylor. School Days, School Days

School day, school days, dear old golden rule days...


Back to school is fast approaching, and is the inspiration for our new challenge at Daisy's Doodles. Our theme is school time. We want to see your back to school inspired creations!

I created this fun colorful back to school card using the School Time set, colored with Promarkers. You can get this set for your very own, in the Daisy Doodles Store! The paper is from an old DCWV Back To School stack. I cut out the images and attached them with foam dots for dimension. This fun ruler type ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment, also mounted with foam dots, is computer generated.

Let's Get Back To School

It's Back To School Time, so I made a card in honor of school! This card is for a co worker to give to her newphew, who just started first grade.

I used the sketch at Some Odd Girl for card design, but I changed one shape (pencil) and changed the direction of that piece of the sketch. The apple image is from Inktegrity. The pencil image if from the Kidz Korner section of Shelly's Images.The images at Kidz Korner are hand drawn by Shelly's daughter, Taylor, and they are too cute! If you haven't checked out Shelly's Images, and Kidz Korner, you are missing out! I colored both images with Promarkers. The DP and the awesome ruler ribbon are from my stash.
