It's A Boy!

I'm back, again, with a new Stella Says Sketch challenge for you!  I know you MUST be familiar with Stella! But, did you know she has her very own challenge, every other Sunday, at Catch The Bug?!  Well, if you didn't, you do now!  Come over and check out the newest Stella Says Sketch challenge at Catch The Bug and play along! You could be the winner of a digi  prize package from Bugaboo Stamps!

Today, I have for you, a baby announcement.  This is absolutely one of a set of 12.  I made this set of  announcements for a family friend and his girlfriend, who are expecting their first child. I figured it would be a nice gift to give them, with whatever else I decide to buy them.

I've used the image Giraffe Heart 2, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. The baby themed papers are from Hobby Lobby.  I used green hand dyed dew drop pearls from my stash,  for my embellishments. The sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval circles.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Show Your Independence

Wow! Can you believe how fast time has flown by?! June is almost over, and soon we'll be celebrating Independence Day! So, since Independence Day, July 4, is so close, let's show our love for the Stars and Stripes, the Red, White and Blue!

This is our new challenge for you at Daisy's Doodles! Show us Stars and Stripes to celebrate Independence Day! Come over and play along for your chance to win at Daisy's Doodles! We can't wait to see all of your fabulous creations!

I am having a blast as June guest designer at Daisy's Doodles! Jules has so many fabulous images to choose from! If you haven't checked out the Daisy Doodles store, you really should! You'll love the huge selection of images! Jules has something for everyone! Hurry over and check it out! You'll be glad you did.

My card today uses papers that are all scraps from my stash. I used the eagle image, from the Celebrate America set. I've colored the eagle with Promarkers and matted him in blue. I used two star shaped buttons to the upper left of the image. Below the image, I used a strand of red and white baker's twine and a strand of blue and white baker's twine, then tied them in knots in different increments, to make loops. I've used star shaped metal brads, through each knot, to make a decorative border with the baker's twine. To the right of the image, I've punched a circle and pop dotted a punched star in the center, then added strands of baker's twine hanging from the circle. (Sort of reminds me of a metal of honor!)
