Chicken Soup For The Soul

Good morning, good morning! Hope everyone's day is starting out fabulous! The weather here has been absolutely beautiful, lately! Unfortunately though, its making lots of people sick with the sudden change in the weather! Hope everyone is back to feeling better!

On a bright note, we have a new challenge for you at Catch The Bug! This time, it's a sketch challenge! If you're like me, you find lots of inspiration in sketches! They're so fun to help us think outside our usual "box" of design! So put on your crafting hat and channel your mojo to play along in our sketch challenge this week! Besides having fun, you'll have the chance at a digi prize package from Bugaboo Stamps! How's that for motivation?! Oh, and if that's not enough motivation, check out Catch The Bug and see how the DT has thier mojo workin'!

My creation today uses the sketch from Catch The Bug. The image is this cutie pie winged chicken who looks like he's really in hot water! He's Kitchen Chicken - Soup, from Bugaboo Stamps. He's colored with Promarkers. I used two patterned papers that I've had in my stash for well over a year, as well as another fairly old paper, by Stampin' Up. I used a strip of paper with faux stitching at the top and bottom, to create borders. The resin roses in the center of the diamond shapes are by Stampin Up.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Edward Elephant Is Out Of The Box

Hey all! Welcome to another New Release Tuesday, for Bugaboo Stamps. Jodie has the wonderful Edward for us, today. So cute! I mean, c'mon, who doesn't love Elephants?! He's now available for sale, now, in the store at Bugaboo Stamps! Hurry over and get him, then come over to Catch The Bug and show us what you create with him!

If you want some wonderful inspiration, check out the most excellent projects over at Catch The Bug. The DT has done a fantastic job showcasing this cute new image!

My project features Edward Elephant, by Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I triple matted him to make a frame, to set off the image. Primary colors are my chosen color palette, this time. I used a mix of gingham and striped papers, all from my stash. The sentiment is by Sentiments 4 You and is punched with circle and scalloped circle punches. I added faux stitching to the scalloped circle, with a white opaque pen by Inksentials. The trio of buttons are recycled from an old shirt that has long been thrown away.My card layout uses the sketch at Cards For Men.

You've Caught My Heart!

Are you ready for a new challenge and a new featured image at Shelly's Images? We have an oldie but a goodie for you, today!

Today's featured image is baseball glove, shown below. This was only the second image to be added to the Shelly's Store. How's that for an oldie but a goodie?!

The design team has had so much fun creating with the Baseball Glove image this week. Check out the blog at Shelly's Images to see all the wonderful creations from the DT using Baseball Glove!

Here is my card using today's featured image:

The image, Baseball Glove, from Shelly's Images, is colored with Promarkers. I chose two fun new basbeball papers. I love the red stitching on them! The sentiment, You've Caught My Heart," is computer generated. I used red and white baker's twine through the holed on a heart shaped button that came off an old teddy bear and then tied it in a bow. Then added the button to the center of the Baseball Glove.

This was a fun card and I really like how it turned out. Simple, yet cute, and effective. A great card for the special sports fan in your life!

Da Neckers Get Sketchy at Digi's With Attitude!

Thank you to everyone who played in our kids challenge at Digi's With Attitude! There were some cute entries!

We have another wonderful challenge for you, today, at Digi's With Attitude! This time, its a sketch challenge. I love sketch challenges, because they get me to try a different layout for my project and give me inspiration. We hope you love sketches, too, and will play along with us, this week!

There are some fabulous prizes to be won this week! Digi's With Attitude! is giving away a $10 gift certificate to their awesome new store! One winner for every 25 entries, plus a chance at being named Honorable Mention and/or Card of the Month!

We also have a fabulous new sponsor this week, for another chance for you to win! We're being sponsored by the oh so wonderful Chi Chi Memories! They're giving one lucky winner three digi images of thier choice, from thier shop!

Come on over to Digi's With Attitude! and play along! We love to see your creations!

My card this week uses a new release from Digi's With Attitude's Da Neckers line. Her name is Bobbie Sue and you can buy her for your very own in the Digi's With Attitude! store. She's colored with Promarkers. I went with a pink and brown color combo this week, because it seemed to go well with the image and is one of my favorite color combos. The digi papers are by Bearly Mine Designs. The fibered metallic ribbon is from my stash, as are the Prima flowers. I've used pink gemstones as my flower centers. The upper right corner is embellished with metal brads in antique brass. The sentiment is punched using oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up, and pop dotted for dimension. I added dots to the sentiment frame and faux stitching around the image, with an opaque white pen by Inksentials.
