Happy Birthday, From Me To You

Have you missed our Stella Says Sketch challenges?! You've probably noticed that we're only doing one Stella Says Sketch challenge per month, during the summer months, instead of the usual two (Biweekly)< to give the DT a slight break.  Don't worry though, you still get one a month to play along in and we'll return to our normal Stella Says Sketch challenge schedule, once the summer is behind us.  But, for now, enjoy having an entire month to play along in our sketch challenge at Catch The Bug. As always, our lovely Jodie, from Bugaboo Stamps is giving away digi prize packages to some lucky winners - So be sure you come over to Catch The Bug and play along with us! You don't want to miss out on your chance to win!

I have a birthday card to show you, today. My card uses the image, Block - For You From Me, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash.  The flowers are by Prima and are also from my stash.  I've used the word window and modern label punches to punch my sentiment. Gold gemstones have been added to the flowers to make blingy flowered centers.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

You Give Me Butterflies

Good Morning!

My apologies on this post being updated late.  We've had storms all night and my internet connection has been atrocious! Phew! Let's hope it stays up long enough, this time, for me to finish the post.

Today I have this cute new butterfly card to show you.  I love how this one turned out.  I used an image from Shelly's Images.  This is something new, for me.  I wanted to try a black and white card, with pops of color in the image.  I think it turned out beautiful! What do you think? I love butterflies and they always remind me of summer.

The papers are from my stash.  I used black pearls to accent two corner.  Sparkle and shine were added by using two think pieces of white glittery ribbon.  The black butterfly finishes it off with just the right touch.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Hi all! Are you feeling lucky?! I hope so, because today is ABC Monday at Catch The Bug! It's time to show you "Anything But A Card!" Today, for your ABC Monday, I've chosen this cute altered St. Patrick's Day drink cup.  Adorable, isn't it? Want more ABC inspiration?  Check out Catch The Bug for more fun ABC ideas!

For my altered drink cup, today, I used the image, Edward Elephant - St. Patrick's Day, from Bugaboo Stamps. I found this cute alterable drink cup at The Dollar Tree.  Such a bargain.  All papers are from my stash.  I printed the image, colored it with Promarkers, and did fussy cutting around it, then added shamrock stickers to the paper, to give that extra St Patrick's Day touch.

It's A Hello Birthday Paint Can

Hi everyone! I'm excited to have a fun new project to show you, today.  I've been dying to post this for everyone to see, but had to wait till the recipient received it, since it was a birthday gift. Are you ready to see something different from me?! How about checking out this altered paint can that I made for my friend, Sheila, for her birthday?! She loves hello Kitty, so I knew it was perfect for her!

I bought an empty paint can from Home Depot and covered it with scrapbook papers in polka dots and stripes.  The color theme is red, white and blue.  I used Hello Kitty stickers, as well as some Hello Kitty digital clip art, colored with Promatkers, to decorate the can.  The middle of the can has a band of red glittered ribbon. I've used sparkly shiny ribbon pieces in red, white and blue, to tie on the handles.

To decorate this paint can, I incorporated the themes of Birthday, Girlie and Friendship to make the perfect gift for a wonderful friend. It also reminds me of my childhood, since I loved Hello Kitty as a child. I'd have loved to have received this, as a kid, wouldn't you?!

I filled the can with lots of Hello Kitty goodies for Sheila, including a Hello Kitty watch!

You Know You're Old When.....

Hey there! Happy Thursday! It's Oldie But A Goodie Thursday, here at Catch The Bug! Whoo hoo! Are you ready to see us bring some of those older images from Bugaboo Stamps back into the spotlight? I hope so because we have some for you and the creations are fabulous!  Check out Catch The Bug for more Oldie But Goodie inspiration!

I went with a masculine birthday card, for my Oldie But Goodie inspiration, today. I've used the image and sentiment set, Gus Birthday - Rocking Chair, by Bugaboo Stamps. The papers are new, from a new stack I bought at Hobby Lobby.  I went with blues, grays and browns - Seems to be the perfect masculine color scheme, doesn't it? The blue pearls are from my stash.  (Who says pearls can't be masculine?!) The glittered ribbon is from my stash. I think it goes perfectly on this card - Gives it a slight touch of sparkle.

My First Lacy Sunshine Card!

Hello everyone! I'm here, today, to show you my first card using  a Lacy Sunshine digi stamp! Whoo Hoo! Love these stamps! So cute!

Today, I'm using  the digi stamp called Gemma Gumdrop, which is the freebie for participating in this week's challenge.  She is colored with Promarkers.

My card layout uses the sketch at Feeling Sketchy. All papers are from my stash.  Flowers are layers and are by Prima and Recollections. I used the branch punch, from Martha Stewart to punch the greenery.  The blue were used to add sparkle and shine.  I used blue sheer ribbon, tied in a bow, to finish her off.

This is my first time trying shading on the hair, in ages.  What do you think?
