Catch A Falling Star

Whooo Hoo! Guess what, everyone?! I'm a Guest Designer this week at Penny's Paper-Crafty! I'm so excited to get to join this awesome team for a guest spot this week! And for such a fun theme, too! The theme at Penny's Paper-Crafty this time is Anything Goes! Wow! Talk about freedom to create! You can create anything your little heart desires, to play along with us this week! Our challenge runs for two weeks, so that gives you lots and lots of time to play along with us! There's a fabulous sponsor, too, as always! The sponsor this round is Some Odd Girl! Their stamps are awesome! (Wish I could play for a chance to win!) You don't want to miss out on your chance to win this fantastic prize, so hurry on over to Penny's Paper-Crafty and join us! Remember, this time, Anything Goes!

For my card layout, I am using the sketch at Fetch A Sketch. I've used the photo inspiration at Some Odd Girl for my color scheme, as well as some colors from the Sugared Spectrum color palette from Design Seeds. (Color Palette Shown Above) Of course, I just had to use a Some Odd Girl image! This is Star Bright Tia and she is just too cute! I've colored her with Promakers and added glitter and sparkle to her with the Clearstar Gelly Roll pen. The banner is punched using the new Banner punch by Stampin Up. I used some multicolored fiber in shades of pink to trim the top of the banner. All papers are from my stash. The new ruffled ribbon is from Stampin Up. The rhinestone bling is from Recollections. The image is popped up from the card with foam mounting tape.

Pretty Pastels

Happy Independence Day! Not only is it Independence Day, but it's also Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images!

Today's featured image is Carnations, from Shelly's Images. This beauty comes two ways, withe the regular ribbon and then with the Patriotic theme. When you buy this fabulous digi, you get both versions for one price! Whoo Hoo! How's that for a bargain?!

This gorgeous Carnations digi is available for a special price, today only, in the Shelly's Images Store.

I created my card today for a very dear lady who's going through treatment for a medical condition and can use some cheering up. I went with pink and green pastels for summer and colored the image with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. The brads are made with matching paper using my Itop bradmaker. (First time I've used it and I love, love, love it!) My card layout uses the sketches at Card Positioning Systems and at Priscilla's Styles.
