A Toast to 2011
Happy Challenge Day at Ooh La La. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! Now that another Christmas has passed, so to has another year almost passed. Wow! Where has all the time gone?! Here we are knocking on the door of 2011! I cannot believe how quickly the year has flown by! In celebration of the New Year, we are asking you to celebrate with us, by creating a project with the theme, "A Toast to 2011."
My card, again, uses that wonderful Weaved Paper that everyone seems to love. The digi paper is from the Joyeux Noel CD by ooh La LaCreations. You can get this fantastic CD in Ooh La La Creations' shop, here. I love using these CD's because everything is pre-colored and it is so quick and easy to make a card! Just print, cut, glue, and embellish! No coloring required, which saves lots of time!
The image is a freebie from Beccy's Place. I knew it would be a perfect combination, paired with papers by Ooh La La, for a New Year's Card! As always, I've colored the image with Promarkers, and added glitz, glitter and sparkle with my clearstar gelly roll pen. The strawberries in the image didn't have the black dots, so I added those myself -- It just seemed to be missing something without those! The black and silver metallic ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated and punched using the oval and scalloped oval punches, by Stampin Up. Foam mounting tape has been used to attach the sentiment, for dimension.

Red Green & Cream at Craft Your Passion
This week's challenge at Craft Your Passion is a color challenge. We want to see you use the colors red, green & cream, together. This is a simple challenge, this time around,so, what are you waiting for?!! Come on over to Passion and play in our color challenge for a chance to win some cute digis from CocoDingo and Lauretta's Digital Stamps.
This cute winter girl image is from Lauretta's Digital Stamps for my card. I have colored her in red, green & cream, with Promarkers. It is hard to tell, but I colored the background of the image, to make it a cream like color. The Gingham DP was originally red and white, but I used a Promarker to color in each white square, to add the cream color to the DP. The card base is cream colored. The Scalloped circle is punched using a 3" scalloped circle punch by EK Success. Glitter and sparkle has been added to the image, with a clearstar gelly roll pen. (Yes, yes, I love that thing! I admit it!)
This card is for my friend, Mary, who loves Winter!

Favorite Projects for 2010
As we approach the New Year, we reflect back on the days and months behind us. Today, I am looking back through the year and highlighting my favorite projects of 2010. This has been my first year of blogging, so it has been a lot of fun to look back at what I've done my first year!
Here are my favorites for 2010:
This fun side step card:
And another Halloween sidestep card:
This clock, which I think turned out awesome:
Purple Wedding Easel Card. Gotta love purple!
And last of all, This pretty musical card:
After looking back, I realize, now, that most of my favorite projects have been from the last part of the year. So it makes me wonder.... Does this mean I am getting better with age? LOL

Winter Wishes and A DT Farewell
The year is coming to an end, and we're all preparing to welcome in 2011. And with a new year, comes change. Time for change and new experiences. With that being said, I'm sad to say that my time with Stamping Dragon Designs has come to an end. I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to Janette, from Stamping Dragon, for giving me the wonderful experience of working with her, and taking the chance on me, to on my first design team. I appreciate everything you have done. I have enjoyed, so much, working with her, and the rest of the DT members, past and present. I will take away from this experience so many wonderful memories. Don't worry, girls, I will be stopping by your blogs to visit from time to time, and I hope you'll all do the same. Don't be surprised if you see me playing along with your challenges over at Stamping With The
Dragon!
Today is a new challenge over at Dragon, and also my last card for this awesome Design Team of wonderful ladies. This round, we want to see a project using your favorite Winter Color. We're being sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads. She is offering a fab prize-- 5 images of the winner's choice! This is an awesome prize, so be sure you play along for your chance to win!
For my card, I used the sketch at Truly Scrumptious. The image was provided by Di's Digi Downloads and is colored with Promarkers. Obviously, my favorite winter colors right now are red & green, since I'm still feeling a little bit like Christmas. I added glitter and sparkle using a clearstar gelly roll pen. It's winter, and so many of us have lots and lots of snow! And we have to have sparkle, if we have snow! The papers and red ribbon are from my stash, and the sentiment is computer generated.
I made this card for my friend Susie. We met in one of those old RPG games years ago and are still friends.
While I have you here, I want to tell you that the Creative Cowgirls are having a blog hop with Blog candy!

Christmas Noel
I know, I know, you're probably all tired of seeing Christmas cards by now! I promise this is my last one for the year! LOL
We have a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. Christmas is this week, so we just had to ask you to see your Christmas cards, this week! I know many of you are still doing those last minute cards, so this is your chance to show off those last minute Christmas cards before you put them in the mail, or hand deliver them. We hope you'll stop by Craft Your Passion, this week, and play along with us for a chance to win an image of your choice from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and CocoDingo.
My card layout is the sketch at The Pixie Cottage. I just had to use it for my card layout when I seen it. This sketch made a fantastic card and was so much fun to use! My image is from CocoDingo and is colored with Promarkers. Of course, I had to add glitter and sparkle using my clearstar gelly roll pen, since it's a Christmas card! All papers and ribbon are from my stash. The Christmas ticket is by Stitchy Bear Stamps, and is mounted with foam mounting tape, for dimension. I've used the branch punch by Martha Stewart, to make branches of greenery for the upper left corner of the image. I finished the corner of the image with a few skittles (or Dew Drops) dyed with Cranberry color alcohol Ink.
I love the way this card turned out!
I made this card especially for my close friend, Dan, who I met online years ago. We've been friends for about 8 years.

Minutes to Midnight at Shelly's Images
Wow! Can you beleive 2010 is almost behind us?! Where did the year go! Before we know it, we'll be celebrating a New Year! I want to take this time to thank all of my followers for stopping by to visit this year, and for all the wonderful comments!
This week, at Shelly's images, we are celebrating the end of 2010 and welcoming in the New Year, with Shelly's "Minutes to Midnight" image. This is the perfect image for those New Year's Cards and is very versatile. You could make a fun and different anniversary card with it as well. Minutes to Midnight is on sale for a special price, today only, in the Shelly's Images store, and while you're at the shop, browse around and see all of the great images Shelly has to offer!
Of course, I had to do a New Year's card for this fabulous image! I used the sketch at The House That Stamps Built, for my card layout. Both papers are from my stash. I love the cream, green, and metallic gold paper. It seemed perfect for a New year's Celebration! My image is colored with Promakers, with sparkle and glitter added to the image with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I've added two piece of metallic gold cardstock behing the image, for extra shine. The celery green ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes set and is punched using the word window punch and the modern label punch, also by Stampin Up. I've mounted the sentiment with foam mounting tape for dimension. The skittles (also known as Dew Drops) were hand dyed by me with "Bottle" green alcohol inks.
I made this card for my friend Erica, in Florida. We met online in a game a few years ago and have become close friends.

Christmas Nativity
Today is another new challenge at Ooh La La. Keeping with the theme of Christmas, we are asking you to make and share with us, projects with a Nativity scene, as we remember the true meaning of Christmas.
My card uses digi paper and a gorgeous Nativity image, from the Christmas Presence CD by ooh La LaCreations. You can get this fantastic CD in Ooh La La Creations' shop, here.
I have used gold metallic cord, from my stash, in three strips across my card, to add some elegance and shine. I used my Crop O Dile Big bite to punch a hole into each corner of the image, and used matching gold metallic cord to frame the image. I wanted to keep this card simple, as a focus on this gorgeous nativity scene. My Card fits the sketch at Corrosive.
I am entering the card in the following challenges:

Let's Get Funky, My Purple Baby!
Wow! We had an awesome number of players in our Anything Goes challenge last week! It was so much fun to hop around and visit everyone's blogs! We really appreciate all the participation!
It is Monday, and that means time for a new challenge! This week, we have a fun sketch for you to play with! Come on over and join us at Craft Your Passion, and show us your doubles! You could win an image of your choice from CocoDingo and Lauretta's Digital Stamps. While you're there, check out the creative inspiration of the rest of the design team. They're all talented ladies and they have some beautiful creations to show you!
For my card, I have chose to use this fun image by Lauretta's Digital Stamps. There is something that I love about this image, though I can't quite put my finger on what it is about it, that intrigues me. I wanted to be outside the box, this time, and go with some funky colors for her hair and lips. She's colored with Promarkers. Isn't she just the most beautiful purple haired lady?! I used some funky purple paper by Paperabilities that I found in a stack on clearance last year at Walmart and hadn't ever used it. It seemed perfect for this funky purple lady! The metallic purple cardstock is also from Walmart. The loops are made of sheer lavender ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is by Stampin Up, from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, and is punched using oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up! I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add sparkle and glitter to her hair and to the background paper.
I am entering this funky card in the following challenges:

Music Speaks What Cannot Be Expressed
Whooo Hoo! It's Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images and you know what that means! Time for a new featured image that is on sale, today only, for a special price! Today's image is Clarinet, from Shelly's Images. You can pick up this fantastic image in store today only for a special sale price! Check out her other fabulous images, too, while you're there!
For my project today, I have used today's featured image, Clarinet, colored with Promarkers. I went on a search and find mission, to get these musical designer papers, specicically to use with this image, and finally found them at Hobby Lobby. The image is punched out using ascalloped circle punch from EK success, and the matted on black. I used a decorative corner punch, to punch corners of the white musical DP. The red and black spotted paper is from my stash. I've used red roses by recollections, and a gray pearled trinket pin by Maya Road. The sentiment is computer generated and then punched using a tag punch by Stampin Up. The ribbon on the tag is from my stash. I added glitter and sparkle to the clarinet image and to the red roses using a clearstar gelly roll pen.
The Tag sentiment says:
Music Speaks What Cannot Be Expressed,
Soothes The Mind and Gives It Rest,
Heals The Heart and Makes It Whole,
Flows From Heaven To The Soul.

All Hung Up For Christmas
Stamping With The Dragon has a new challenge for you, today! The theme is "Make It Spartkle," and we're being sponsored by the Stitchy Bear Stamps store. They have stamps from so many fantastic designers, including those who provided the digi paper Pack and images (FLoppy Latte, Stitchy Stamps and Kelley's Kids) for the DT to work with this week.
The challenge winner this time gets to choose 5 images (total) of thier choice from Kelley's Kids, Floppy Latte and/or Stitchy Stamps. Isn't that a fab prize?!
For My project, I made a Christmas door hanger in non traditional Christmas colors, using the sketch at Crazy 4 Challenges. I used a digi paper pack by Floppy Latte. This paper pack is full of yummy papers! It was hard to choose which parts I wanted to use! So many fantastic choices! This cute image is by Kelley's Kids and is colored with Promarkers. I used papers from my stash and decorated an inchie with a handmade flower, and some sparkly glittered leaves, and added that as en embellishment. More sparkle was added by using a clear star gelly roll pen on the bulbs on the string of lights this little cutie is holding. I used a punch by EK Succes, for the scalloped circle frame. The cute christmas sentiment tag says, "Dear Santa, I can explain..."

Card Drive Reminder
Just a reminder about our Card drive! Read on, to find out how you can help brighten a day in the lives of some special people.
The Ear Trust is a wonderful organization that supports the use of cochlear implants across Yorkshire and neighboring areas, to enable babies, children and adults with profound hearing loss to begin to hear. Visit their website here, for more information on the Ear Trust, read patient stories and make donations.
Little Carly is three years old, and is just one of the children The Ear Trust has helped. Carly's grandmother, Trisha, has a blog, and you can read about Carly, and how the Ear Trust has helped her, here, at the top of the page. Trisha also has two Ear Trust digi stamps for sale on her blog for $1.50 each. (Read below for info on the creator of these wonderful digi images!) All proceeds from the sale of these special digi images will go The Ear Trust.
As part of the Design Team for Stamping Dragon Designs, I have volunteered to organize a card drive. (See below for address where you can send your cards) I am asking all of you to send cards to these wonderful people that are being assisted by The Ear Trust.
The wonderful Janette, from Stamping Dragon Designs has generously created two adorable digi snail images, below, to help raise money for this awesome cause!
These images can be purchased from Trisha on her blog, here, or you may purchase them from Janette's store, at Stamping Dragon Designs. Again, all proceeds from the sale of these adorable stamps, purchased from either site, will go to The Ear Trust, to help enable people with profound hearing loss, to begin to hear.
We are asking all of you wonderful people out there to please help bright up a day in the lives of these special people, by sending cards.
We'd love it if you'd purchase the special stamps, to create your cards, since proceeds go to the charity. Those of you who purchase the Ear Trust Digi stamp and create a card with it, to send to the Ear Trust, will receive this special image, Jiggy's Presents, created by Stamping Dragon Designs, for free, as our way of saying thank you.
It is not a requirement to use the Ear Trust Digi on your cards, but we would love it, if you did! You may send cards for any occasion, using any images. Please help out by sending a card.
When sending your cards, please include a blank envelope for each card, and send all your cards in one package.

Anything And Everything At Craft Your Passion
I'm so excited to tell you about our new challenge at Craft Your Passion! It's time for another, "Anything Goes" challenge! Whoo Hoo! And this time, not only can you win images of your choice from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and CocoDingo, but we have a sponsor! We are being sponsored by the wonderful Judy, from Pizazz Aplenty, and she's giving our winner a yummy package of goodies from her store! If you haven't checked out Pizazz Aplenty, you better rush over to their store and check it out! Judy has fast service, and there is still time to place an order for Christmas!
Judy, from Pizazz Aplenty, has been kind enough to send our Design Team some goodies to work with! How cool is that?! Most of our Design Team are using products from Pizazz Aplenty on thier creations this week! Head over to the Craft Your Passion challenge blog and check out the scrumptious creations from the rest of the Design Team!
For my card, I used this fabulous guitar image by CocoDingo. I love this image, because it's perfect for a male card, and I can still add bling! I went with a blue and brown combo for my card. The DP is from my stash. I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and more sparkle to the image. All bling used on my card, is from Pizazz Aplenty. I've used three 7mm blue rimstones in the top left corner, three 4mm shiny gold gemstones in the bottom right corner, and four 4mm shiny gold gemstones for the corners of the image. The guitar image has several of the beautiful sparkly 3mm clear gemstones along the music staff. I am sooooo loving all this bling from Pizazz Aplenty! My card fits the sketches at Simon Says Stamp and The Pixie Cottage.
This card was so much fun to make, and I really enjoyed playing with all the goodies Judy sent us! Thanks so much Judy!

With Sympathy
Today, I have a new card for you, featuring a new image by Stamping Dragon Designs. Awhile back, I had asked Janette to create an image for me, for making a sympathy card. She created two fabulous images for me. This is the first one, and my favorite of the two. I think this image is absolutely gorgeous. If you're looking for a nice image for making sympathy cards, this image is perfect! You can find this image, as well as many others in the Stamping Dragon Designs store.
The image is colored with Promarkers and matted onto green cardstock, to bring out the green in the images. I've used some pretty peach honeycomb patterned Dp and some textured cardstock. The sheer ribbon from my stash makes a pretty double bow. The sentiment is from the Stampin Up set, teeny tiny wishes, and punched with the word window and modern label punches. The sentiment is pop dotted for dimension. My card fits the sketch at Papertake Weekly.
Often times, I have an idea, design or "look" in my head that I want to achieve, and it doesn't always come out the way I envision it. This time, I think I pulled it off. I went for the "simply elegant" look, and I'm very please with how it turned out.
