I paired him with a fun mix of papers, as well as a grey embossed circleused as a pocket, for him to peek over the top of! All papers are from my stash. I went with a male birthday card, for this round, because its something I never seem to have enough of. The elephant image is attached to a tag that pulls up from the circle pocket. Just Floating By.....
Hey Hey! So glad you floated by today, to visit! Now that you're here, let me tell you about a new challenge at Catch The Bug! We're all inspired this week by a photo with pretty primary colors and thoughts of summer. It's amazing how differently everyone interprets the photo! I know you're dying to see, and to play along, so go check out the photo inspiration challenge at Catch The Bug! You could win a digi prize package of 4 images, 7 images, or even 10 images, from Bugaboo Stamps! Whoo Hoo! Lots of prizes, so don't miss out! Be sure you play along with us!
My card today uses the image, Summer Duck-Floaty, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. I just love the mix of polka dots and stripes together with the beach paper! Such a summery feel, isn't it?! The cute little whale is a punch my Martha Stewart, matted with a punched circle. The felt flowers with diamond/gemstone centers are a new find, from the dollar bin at Michael's. Recycling is always on my mind, of course, so I added three recycled buttons from old clothing that had been thrown out. I've used the sketch at Alota Rubber Stamps, for my card layout. The whale and the image are mounted with foam mounting tape, for added dimension. I used ribbon from my stash, that came from the dollar bin at Target last summer.
The green panel across the card is embossed with the Cuttlebug using the paisley folder.
This card is for my friend, Dan, to celebrate summer. Who says flowers can't be used on a masculine card?! I think they can, if you get creative!
