Margaret's Back In The Oldie But Goodie Spotlight

Good Morning bloggers! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Today is Oldie But Goodie Thursday at Catch The Bug and there are some fabulous creations for you to check out! Such a variety of images being featured, too! Head over and check it out, and re-invent your love for those previously released images from Bugaboo Stamps. It's sure to remind you all over again how much you love them and how thankful we all are to have Jodie creating such awesome images for us all to play with! Head over to Catch The Bug and leave Jodie and the DT some love!

My project today features the image, Margaret Calendar Months - January, from Bugaboo Stamps. I went with pastel colors for this card, and mixed paisley and stripes. The white glittered flourishes are an adhesive border by Recollections. I just bought them at Michael's during a 40% off sale, and I have to tell you - It was such a pain in the tail to use! It's so ornate and detailed, that it was difficult to remove the adhesive backing! Very pretty, but not sure I'd buy it again! Once I use it up, I think that's it for me! LOL The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set by Stampin Up, and punched with the word window and modern label punches.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Door Knob Hanger With Treat Pouch Tutorial

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting today. As many of you know, I've been lucky enough to be a guest designer for Bugaboo Stamps for January and February. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying my guest designer spot!!! Anyway, one of the requirements as a guest designer for Bugaboo Stamps, is to do one tutorial during your guest designer term. Well, the day has come for me to do my tutorial and its being featured at Catch The Bug, today. I hope you'll stop by and leave a comment if you like the project.

Now, let me tell you what we are going to make, today! For today's tutorial, we're going to make a cute door knob hanger with a treat pouch. It's a fun project and turns out really cute! I hope you'll enjoy it. If you make one, I'd love for you to share it with me so I can see yours!

Okay, now, let's get started:

Supplies You will Need:

Cardstock
Designer Papers
Stamps or Digital Images
Red Liner Tape, Tape Gun or other adhesive
Paper Cutter
Circle Punch
Embellishments for decorating
Scissors

Instructions:

Cut your cardstock as follows:

4 1/2" x 7 1/2" for hanger base, 5 1/2" x 7" for the pocket.

Next, cut your patterned paper as follows:

4 1/4" x 7 1/4" to fit your hanger base, and 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" for the pocket.

Attach your paper to your hanger base.

Now, you will want to score your 5 1/2" 7" cardstock as follows:

Score at 1", 1 1/2", 5 1/2" and 6".

Turn cardstock and score at 4" and 4 1/2".

Now, trim your bottom corners with scissors. Your pocket piece should look like this:

Fold your pocket on score lines and use a glue gun, red liner tape or your favorite adhesive to hold your pocket together. Please be sure to use a good strong adhesive for this part! Once put together, your pocket should look like this:

In the photo above, I've already added some adhesive to the back so that it is ready to place on the door hanger base. Once you have your pocket together, attach your patterned paper.

Now, take your circle punch and punch your hold in the center of your hanger base.

Then, attach your pocket to the hanger base, add your stamped or digital image, and decorate.

Here is my finished door knob hanger with treat pouch:

I used the following images: crown and princess, by Bugaboo Stamps, to decorate the pouch on my doorknob hanger. The images are colored with Promarkers. I used lots of bling, by Recollections, because, after all, princesses needs lots of bling! I used ribbon from my stash, at the top to tie a bow right above where the doorknob is. (Sorry, its hard to see in the pic.)

Hope you enjoyed my tutorial today! I'd love to hear your comments!

Whoo Hoo! *Applause* We know how much you all love this one, so there's no excuse not to come over and play along! Come over to Catch The Bug and link up your creation for your chance to win images from Bugaboo Stamps!

My card today uses the Sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches for the layout. The image is Make it Snappy-Birthday Fishes, from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored the image with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. The party hat is a button that I cut the shank off of to make it lay flat and use as an embellishment. It just went perfect with this card! The DT is featuring this awesome valentine's/love set, Key To My Heart, which is available, today, only, for a special price, in the Shelly's Images Store.

For my project today, I altered this cute heart tree, that I found in the dollar section at Target. I'm using the Key To My Heart, by Shelly's Images. The images are colored with Promarkers. I printed each thing multiple times and cut them out using fussy cutting. I used various ribbon scraps from my stash to tie the pieces onto the tree. Margaret's An Oldie But A Goodie

Oldie But Goodie Thursday is here, again, at Catch The Bug, and we've brought back to life some of the fabulous images by the oh so talented Jodie, of Bugaboo Stamps. I always love it when I rediscover the images from the past. It's so inspiring to create new things from things we've used in the past.

The DT has done an awesome job with the Oldies But Goodies, too! You really need to come over to Catch The Bug and check them out! The team is always ready to provide you awesome and inspirational projects!

My project uses one of my favorite characters, Morning Margaret - Cornflakes by Bugaboo Stamps. I went with bright cheerful colors, and lots of blooms, for this one. All papers are scraps from my stash. The flowers are from Recollections, Prima and Hooked On Crafts. Branches of leaves have been punched with a punch by Martha Stewart and added amongst the flowers. The image is attached with foam mounting tape.
