It's Halloween Weekend!
It's Halloween weekend! Whoo hoo! I absolutely love Halloween. It is one of my most favorite seasons. I always loved dressing up in a costume and giving candy out to the kids. Unfortunately, we now live where we don't get any kids for trick or treat.
Here's a cute tag for you, today in yummy Halloween colors. The witch is cut with the Cricut, and the digi Frankenstein is by Bugaboo Stamps. I colored him with Bic Markers, instead of the Promarkers, because I wanted him to look creepier, with the more intense colors. The corners, bat and fence, were all done with punches. And don't you just love the Halloween ribbon? The sparkle is added using a clear star gelly roll pen.
I am entering this tag in the following challenges:

It's Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images! I'm using treasure chest, the featured image this week at Shelly's Images. This image is on sale in the Shelly's Images store, for today only!
The image is the focus of the card, because it's the perfect image to show someone how special they are. The image is colored with Promarkers with sparkle and glitter added, with a Clearstar Gelly Roll pen. I used pre-printed die cut gold corners, for the corner flourishes. The image is pop dotted for dimension. DP is from my stash.

Friends Are Flowers That Never Fade
Time for a new card featuring an image from Stamping Dragon Designs. You can shop their store, here. I've used Friend Word Art and colored it with Promarkers. I decided to try something new and do the lace up technique up the side of the card. I'm not sure how well I like the way it turned out. I wasn't meaning to go for the simple look, but that's what it ended up to be. I started to add something else to it, but then I was afraid I'd ruin it. My card fits the Twisted Card Sketch at Twisted Sketches.
The glittery sparkly paper is from a new glitter paper stack I just bought. The ribbon is from my stash. The holes for the lacing were punched using the Crop O Dile Big Bite.
Oh, before we go on to challenges I wanted to mention the wonderful people at Letraset, makers of Promarkers, who are sponsoring the Moving Along With The Times challenge blog, this week! What a fab prize.

The theme for Ooh La La's challenge this fortnight, is Scary Stuff. My card fits the sketches at Creative Inspirations and at Fairymoon Crafts. I chose to go with Halloween, for scary, but in a more stylish manner. The chic, stylish digi witch silhouette, as well as the paper, are from Ooh La La's Femme Fatale CD. (If you haven't seen their awesome CD's, you really MUST go check them out! Fabulous papers and pre colored images! Check out the Ooh La La Creations shop.) Marvelous Monday! Celebrate Fall and Thanksgiving
Good Morning everyone!
It is Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images. The air is becoming crisp and the leaves of the trees are changing colors. Its the perfect time to celebrate fall and start thinking about Thanksgiving. This week at Shelly's Images, we are featuring the image "Pilgrim Girl." Available for a special price today only in the Shelly's Images store. Hurry over get it for yourself at the special price, before it's too late.
Check out Shelly's Images blog for creative inspiration from the design team, using today's featured image, Pilgrim Girl.
And now for my card. I used the sketch from Creative Inspirations, for my card layout. Of course, I am using Pilgrim Girl, from Shelly's Images, colored with Promarkers. I used sponging around the image to add color and remove any white from the image. I've had this gorgeous fall ribbon for a long time now. I received it in a ribbon swap and had no idea what to do with it, since I don't usually use ribbon this wide. Once I seen this image, I felt like it would be perfect for this ribbon. The image is pop dotted onto the ribbon, for 3D effect and dimension. The background paper is a scrap from my stash.

Monday is challenge day at Craft Your Passion, and this time we have a fun color combo challenge for you. We want to see you use a combination of purple, orange and black on your project. I'm sure it reminds you of Halloween colors, but think outside the box. It doesnt have to be a halloween project. There are so many ways you can use this awesome color combo. Play along with us at Craft Your Passion for your chance to win digi images of your choice from laureatta's Digital Stamps and Cocodingo.
For my card, I used papers from my stash. The image is from Lauretta's Digital Stamps, and is colored with Promarkers. I sponged the edges of the image with purple ink then used black ribbon with orange polka dots, also from my stash. The flowers were stamped and then punched out and mounted with glue dots. I love how this card turned out. My card fits the sketch at Stamps R Us, though I've changed up the sketch a bit.

You And I ------- The Perfect Duet
Once again it is challenge time at Stamping With The Dragon. This round, the design team have some wonderful creations for you, using stamps from the Stitchy Bear Stamps store. If you haven't been to their store, you are really missing out! Stitchy Bear has images from tons of different designers, all in one place! You really need to hop on over there and do some shopping!
For my card, I used Duet, by Stitchy Bear herself. This image is so adorable. It reminds me of childhood and childhood sweethearts, and the song, "You and I." (Wish I could remember who sang that.. It was a duet, I think Crystal Gayle may have been the female of the duet). I decided to go with a simple look. I wanted to focus on the image, rather than overdo it with lots of embellishing. I colored the image with Promarkers, then sponged and distressed the image edges with brown ink. The musical background paper is from the new paper tablet by Tim Holtz. The gorgeous gold and metallic ribbon is from my stash.

CAR-AZY about You!
It's sketch time for our new challenge at Craft Your Passion. I love sketches for creating my card layouts. It encourages me to think outside of my box. We have a fun sketch this week, so get busy creating and play along with us. You could win images of your choice from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and CocoDingo.
For my card, I am using an image by CocoDingo and decided to go with a male card. THe song, "Cars" by Gary Numan is my song inspiration. I always have trouble creating a card for a guy, but I feel like I am slowly getting better at it. I created this card for my hubby and used a blue and brown combo. I really like how it turned out. The image is colored with my Promarkers. All papers are from my stash. This is my first time using the blue striped paper--I think it is perfect for a make card.
The scalloped circle is punched using a punch by EK Success.

Thanks & Marvelous Monday
Time for another Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images. This week, we are featuring this wonderful Thanks image. It's on special for today only. Stop by the Shelly's Images store and get it for your very own!
I colored the image with Promarkers and used it as a focal point for my card. The cute fall paper, from my stash, seemed perfect to go with the color scheme of the image. I bought this sparkly paper thinking it would make a great fall card--and just never got around to using it. I used buttons recycled from an old shirt, to embellish the card. Simple and cute. My song title inspiration for this card is the Golden Girls theme song, "Thank You For Being A Friend."

Giddyup Cowgirl
Giddyup little cowgirl! This cute image is called Giddyup and is from Designs. You can get her for your very own in Stamping Dragon's store. I colored her with Promarkers and chose a pink and brown color combo. I wanted to make the card simple, yet girly. The flowered paper, pink pearls and ribbon are all from my stash. I love sheer ribbons, and this one is one of my favorites, with the metallic threads through it. I bought it because I thought it was so pretty, and then just never used it. Once i started creating this, I remembered I had this ribbon and thought it was perfect for this card.

She's Been Framed!
Well, here we are, again. Challenge time at Craft Your Passion. This week,we are challenging you to use crumpled paper on your project. This was my first time trying this technique, and I have to admit--It was really fun! Of course, I won't admit how much ink I had all over me by the time I was done creating my project! We'd love for you to get out your paper, crumple it up, create something fabulous with it, and then join us in our Challenge. Come on over to Craft Your Passion and link up your new crumpled paper project! Just a reminder of the standard rules--No backlinking of projects, please. Your creation must be new, created on or after the challenge date, and before the challenge ends. Any backlinked projects will not be in the prize drawing. You don't want to miss out on your chance to win images of your choice from CocoDingo and Lauretta's Digital Stamps, so please please please don't backlink. We really don't like to have to exclude anyone from winning.
Now that the formalities are out of the way, here is my project for this week's crumpled paper challenge.
I've used an image by Lauretta's Digital Stamps, and created a frame with chipboard. I'm hanging this on the wall in my scraproom. (I plan to create another later, for use on another project!) The image is colored with Promarkers then cut out and mounted on crumpled paper that I distressed with ink. I used foam mounting tape to mount the image to the crumpled paper, to give it a 3D effect. The flower at the bottom is from Recollections. I used red stickles to highlight the flower and add sparkle and bling.
I am entering this frame in the following challenges:

Let's Harvest Some Pumpkins at Shelly's Images
It's Marvelous Monday, again, at Images. This week, we are featuring Pumpkins as the featured image. Perfect for fall and harvest time. There are so many possibilities with this image. It would also make a nice Thanksgiving card. This image is available for a special price, today only, in the Shelly's Images store. While you are there getting this one, pick up some of the other wonderful images Shelly has to offer.
Also, check out the Shelly's Images blog for some wonderful eye candy by the DT, using the Pumpkins image. You may want to stop back there, too, on Tuesdays for the wonderful tutorials and on Thursdays for the new challenges!
My card featuring the pumpkins image is simple, but I love the way it turned out. I love this image and thought it would be a fantastic to use as a big focal point for a card. I colored the image with Promarkers and framed it with a chipboard frame. (New purchase I made this week, at Michael's) Once I attached it to the card, I felt it was perfect and didn't want to add anything, for fear of taking away from the image. I rarely make a card that doesnt use patterned paper, and I generally don't like chipboard, but I'm glad I did, with this image. I think it is perfect just the way it is.

The Stitchy Bear Stamps store is having a huge sale in celebration of Halloween! They sell images from tons of talented designers! There are o many cute images that are being revealed today, especially for this special sale. Hurry over to the Stitchy Bear Stamps shop and check them out while you're able to get them at the special price. They have images priced individually as well as in a multiple image collection pack.
Check out the Stamping Dragon DT on their individual blogs, for some awesome Halloween creations!
Today, I am featuring the new images by Stamping Dragon Designs, available at the Stitchy Bear Stamps shop right now! I am using Sam the Vamp, Halloween Word Art, Monsters and the Too Cute To Spook images.... And all on one card! Sam the Vamp is a real glamour puss... look at how he is showing off! Or is at a she?
I wanted to try and get most of the new Halloween images on one card, so I went with a side step card. I absolutely love making this style of card! It would also be a fantastic table centerpiece for Halloween parties. They have such an awesome look and are so much fun to make.
All designer papers are from an old Halloween stack by K & C Company, that I've had in my stash for ages. The images are colored with Promarkers and the ghosts are glittered with a clearstar gelly roll pen to add sparkle. I used my new Halloween punches by Martha Stewart to make the fence and the witch. The skull is a piece of printed acetate that I just bought at Michael's in a new Halloween pack by Recollections. I attached the skull to white cardstock and cut it out, to make it stand out. All of the images and most of the elements on the card are attached using foam mounting tape, to add dimension and the 3D effect.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Bathtime With Robyn's Fetish
It is challenge time, again, at Stamping With The Dragon. Our theme is water, and we have Robyn's Fetish as our fabulous sponsor. This challenge is a little different from our usual biweekly challenges. We are going with just one week with this round, so hurry and get your ink and paper out so you can play along. You could win a fantastic prize -- 3 digis images of your choice, from Robyn's Fetish!
I love this image, called bathtime, from Robyn's Fetish. This image depicts one of my favorite leisure activities.. Who doesn't love a nice relaxing bubble bath?! For the card layout, I used the sketch at Fresh Brewed Designs and Inspirational Sketches, but altered them some. I decided to go with a clean and simple look. I've colored the image with Promarkers. I bought this pretty flowered paper specifically to match the colors in the image. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
