A Celebration Toast
Have you all recovered from the Christmas holidays, yet? Or still are you still celebrating? The DT at Shelly's Images are celebrating with a new image and new challenge, today! Our theme this week is to use Black, Silver +1 additional color and some bling, on your projects! A perfect challenge for those New Year's projects! We have made a couple changes to the challenge rules, though, that I wanted to mention. Starting today, challenges will close at noon (CST) on Wednesday, instead of Thursday night, like before. Also, we are now putting a limit on the amount of entries per person, to make it more fair. We're asking that you enter the challenge no more than 5 times, and as always, each entry must be a new and unique project with no backlinking. There, that wasn't so bad for a change of rules now was it?! We hope you'll still continue to play with us at Shelly's Images! We love having you join us!
And now, let me tell you about my project for today. I'm using this fabulous new image, Special Toast digi set, by Shelly's Images. (Remember that as today's featured image, its available today only for a special price in the store!) The image is colored with Promarkers. I used a clearstar gelly roll pen to add glitter and sparkle to the ribbons and rings, and a clear glaze pen to add shine to the glasses. The fun black and silver star paper is a scrap from my stash, and the silver metallic twine is also from my stash. The blinged flourishes are new (New stock! Used up my stash!) The sentiment says "A Gift For You) and is a peel off silver metallic sticker. I punched with image with circle and scalloped circle punches and mounted it with foam mounting tape for 3D effect.
I am entering this card in the following Challenges:

Snow Man Gift Card/Tea Bag Holder
Hello everyone! We hope you've enjoyed our 12 Days of Christmas festivities at Shelly's Images! It was so wonderful to share things with you everyday and to see so many of you playing along with us and joining in the fun!
Now that the 12 Days of Christmas is over, it's time for a new challenge, and back to our weekly challenge schedule. This week, is the ever so popular "Show Us What You Got" challenge! We know it's everyone's favorite and you're all knee deep in Christmas preparation, shopping, baking, wrapping and all that other fun stuff, so we wanted to keep it easy for you this week. You can make anything you want and link it up with us for your chance to win!
Come over and play with me and the rest of the lovely DT girls at Shelly's Images!
Before I show you my project today (and GASP! It's NOT a card! LOL), I want to show you today's featured image at Shelly's Images. Meet Santa's Old Faithful. How cool is this image?! Santa and one of his reindeer! Perfect for Christmas cards, and it is on special, today only, for a special price, in the Shelly's Images' Store. Check out the Shelly's Images Blog for lots of awesome inspiration from the DT using this fabulous image! You will be SO inspired!
Okay, now I'm excited to show you today's project! This is my DT week, so it means I can use whatever image I want for my project. I've chosen to use the Snowman set and one of the freebies Shelly has offered in the past, for my project. All images used in my project are by Shelly's Images and are available, now, in her store. I colored my images with Promarkers, of course, because you all know how much I love them!
I made this fun gift holder than can be used for gift cards or tea bags! How cute and fun is this?! I'm sure you could think of other things to put in it as well. (Sorry I forgot to actually put the gift cards in the holders before I took the pics -Duh! Guess I had a brain malfunction but its not the first, and certainly won't be the last! LOL)
This gift card holder is for my brother.
Here is the front of my gift card/tea bag holder. The images have all had glitter and sparkle added with my trusty clearstar gelly roll pen. The sentiment is part of the snowman set, and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. The image and sentiment are both attached with foam mounting tape, for dimension. The pockets are held inside the booklet with two heart shaped gold brads, seen on the side spine of the book. I used a couple scraps of ribbon from my stash to hold the book closes, but you can also use thin velcro. I just liked the look of the ribbon.
And a pic of the first set pocket and inside panel. You can see where the striped paper pockets have notches punched out so that the gift card (or tea bag) would be visible if I actually had slid them into the pocket before I took the pics.
A pic of the next pocket, decorated. The center strip of striped paper was not part of my tutorial - I added it after the fact, to hide the prongs of the brads that were used to secure the pockets.
Lastly, a pic of the last page of the booklet, showing where I left a writable space, to leave a personal message for the recipient.
I hope you enjoyed my project! I apologize for the post being so pic intensive, but it really is necessary for you to see how fun this gift card/tea bag holder is!

Feminine Froggy Christmas
Whooo Hooo! I finally did it! I've completed my final project for the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug! I'm so psyched! I love love love Bugaboo Stamps so this was so much fun to do!
This is my final project for Day 12 of the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. I did do them a little out of order though.
Even though this is the last one to complete all 12 days, this project is for Day 9, which was to be a feminine card. I think I certainly accomplished that, here!
This card is for my favorite cousin. She loves bling and is a real girly girl.
For this card, I went with a pink and silver color combo because you can't get much more feminine than that! I used the Sketch at Woodware Stamps for my card layout. I used this adorable Christmas frog image from Bugaboo Stamps, (who says froggies can't be pink?!) colored with Promarkers. Glitter and sparkle has been added with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I used a DP with silver metallic edges for the top and bottom of the card. The other two papers are scraps from my stash. The image is punched with a scalloped oval and then matted in pink with a large oval. I added this gorgeous glittery pale pink flower. The leaves beneath the flower are punched with a punch from Martha Stewart. The pink and silver ribbon goes perfect with the papers. I finished the card with silver bling flourishes.
This card just screams feminine!

Jingle Your Own Bells
I've done the Catch The Bug's 12 Days of Christmas out of order a little, but I'm almost finished with all 12 days! Yay! One more to go, after this one!
For Day 12, we were asked to make a project inspired by a Christmas song. Here is my day 12 project for the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. I chose the Christmas song, "Jingle Bell Rock" and used the non-traditional color combo of black, white and red.
I'm using sketch #144 at Inspirational Card Sketches for my card layout. I went with these fun musical papers and the Stella Stockings image from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored her with Promarkers and added texture and shine to the fur on her dress and hat, with white Perfect Pearls. The gorgeous red ribbon with gold metallic thread is from my stash. The sentiment says "Jingle Your Own Bells" and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches. The sentiment and image are attached with foam mounting tape for extra dimension. I used a pretty, lacy silver doily on the card, as well. The doily is adorned with these cute gold jingle bells, attached with red and white baker's twine.

Stella Fills In For Cupid
Can you beleive I've done a card other than a Christmas card?! LOL! I've got another card for you for the12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. They didn't say we had to do Christmas cards for every project - Just that we include the specific theme for each project.
This is my card for Day 11, in which we're supposed to incorporate plaid. I used this opportunity to get my friend's valentine card finished, way ahead of time, so I went with masculine non-traditional valentine colors.
My card layout is uses the Sketch at Skipping Stones Designs. I've used this fun Stella image from Bugaboo Stamps. Stella is colored with Promarkers. The image has had glitter and sparkle added with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I used sheer blue ribbon in strips across the card. The striped and plaid papers, ribbon and gemstones are all from my stash. Stella and the sentiment have been attached with foam mounting tape for dimension. The sentiment says, "I'm Filling In For Cupid... Deal With It" and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches.

Stella's Telescoping
Time, again, for another card for the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. This is a new card style for me and my first attempt at a telescoping card. I'm loving this card style! So much fun to make and not too bad for my first try.
This telescoping card is for Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug.
Above, you can see the pic of the card before its opened. I apologize for the quality of the photo. I used gold metallic cardstock on a couple of the circles and the glare caused it to turn out green in the photo. I even tried different camera settings and tried taking the pics from a top down angled view and it didn't help much.
I made this card for my friend, for the holidays. He's a martini kinda guy so he'll love it. I used a non traditional color combo of black and gold.
I hope the blogs who have the red and gold challenges won't count me out of the running on this one, due to picture quality. I swear its really gold metallic cardstock!
Anyway, here is a pic of the card once its opened:
I used metallic red and gold cardstocks to make my 3 circles, then used black papers with silver star prints and silver swirls for the next layers. The center layer on each are the images and the sentiment. I used the Cutting system from Creative Memories, to cut all the circles. The circle layers are held together with black and white polka dot brads. The images are from Bugaboo Stamps and are colored with Promarkers. I added glitter and sparkle to the images with a clearstar gelly roll pen. I tried to color the stella martini glass image to reflect that Stella is sitting inside the martini glass.

Christmas By Candlelight
Are you all sick of seeing Christmas cards, yet? I know, I know! Luckily for you, I'm almost finished with mine! (nothing like last minute cards, right?!)
This is our Free Week at Daisy Doodles, so we get to choose whatever we like. Since I'm still in Christmas Card mode, I chose this gorgeous Christmas candles image to work with.
This card is for my mother in law, who's very relgious, hence the spiritual yellow DP.
The image is from Daisy Doodles and is colored with Promarkers. I went with a non traditional pastel color combo for this one, and a clean and simple theme. I added glitter and sparkle to the image with my clearstar gelly roll pen and finished the card with this fun pennant/bunting/banner put together with green baker's twine.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Buckle Me Up a Santa Claus
Time for another card, again! This one is for Day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. The challenge is to take inspiration from the posted photo. I used the colors and the pine from the photo.
I made this card for my cousin - She loves bling.
My card uses the Sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy. I love love love this sketch! My image is from Bugaboo Stamps and colored with Promarkers. I mounted this cute santa on a scalloped circle with foam mounting tape. He's had glitter and sparkle added to his beard and the tree, with a clearstar gelly roll pen. The mix of papers make this a fun card. I used a silver ribbon slider, a fun green and silver metal brad and some sparkly gemstones to embellish the card. The ribbon is from my stash.

Holiday Cheer
I'm on a roll, again! Watch out! LOL
Here's another project for the 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. This one is for Day 5, in which we were challenged to use gold on our project.
This one is for my husband.
I apologize for the shadow on the card. I took several pics and this is the best I could get, due to all the bright gold on the card, I think.
I used the PWC183 Sketch at Paper Pretties for my card layout and went with another Christmas card, in non traditional colors. My image is from Bugaboo Stamps and is colored with Promarkers. I've used a few different colors to color her skin. Since she's partially sitting inside the glass, I've tried to reflect it in the coloring, by making the parts in the glass lighter. This is my first attempt at this, so I hope it looks okay. The image is punched with a scalloped circle, then I added black sponging to try and tone down the white and make the colors match. I used gold metallic twine from my stash. I added glitter and sparkle to the glass, to make it shine, with a clearstar gelly roll pen.

Milk And Cookies For Santa
I know you all must be sick of me by now, but here I am, yet again! LOL
I have another card for you, from my attempt to complete the The 12 Days of Christmas at Catch The Bug. This card is for Day 8, with the theme "Cookies and Milk." I struggled with this one a little at first because I don't have any Bugaboo Stamps images with cookies or milk. I did find this fun image though.... And then it came to me..... I'll make my own cookie! (Again, having to get creative and think outside the box! LOL)
I used the Sketch at Stamp With Fun. The image, from Bugaboo Stamps, is punched with a circle punch. I colored her with Promarkers and then sponged around her with brown ink. Then, I punched out brown circles and cut them down, placed them on the circles image, to make the it look like she's on a big cookie! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and I feel like it looks quite a bit like a cookie! The dark red ribbon is from my stash. I used gold glittered brads to add some sparkle, shine and bling. The papers are all scraps from my stash. I decided not to use an added sentiment, since the red DP has Merry Christmas written all over it.
The image/cookie is attached with foam mounting tape for dimension.
