What A Guy! My Hero!
Hey, Hey Hey! It's Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Are you ready for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion?!
This week, our theme is, "What A Guy!" Awww don't grumble and groan! I know making masculine cards isn't everyone's favorite theme, but we need to show some love to the guys and boys in our lives too!
Our sponsor this week is Bonni, of Dude Time Doodles (Bonibleaux Designs). Bonni supplies us with some fun male images to work with, and is offering one lucky winner some digi's from her shop! She has some fabulous new releases out! You Don't want to miss out on your chance to win!
Come on over to Craft Your Passion?! and play along in our, "What A Guy" challenge!
My card today, was so fun to create, because it reminds me of my husband and how he hates spiders. (I know the bug in the image isn't a spider, but it still fits with my story) Years ago, I had ordered a bunch of stamping supplies online, around Halloween. When the box came, the company had sprinkled in a bunch of those black plastic spider rings. Hubby was gone to work. Purely innocently, and not even thinking about it, I dumped the plastic spider rings in the trash can. I didn't realize at the time, that one of the spider rings had landed on the edge of a white paper plate in the trash can. Well, later that day, hubby came home and went to throw something away, and seen the spider in the trash can, and went berserk. Next thing I know, he's yelling and beating on the trash can! I run in there, and there he is screaming battle crys and beating the crap out of the trash can, screaming, "Die Die Die!" I'm sorry to say it was quite hysterical at first, and I couldn't help but laugh! It took me ten minutes to calm him down and get it through to him that the spider was plastic! LOL
So, now you can see why this image cracks me up and reminds me of hubby!
I went with two different patterned papers for my card... Stripes and Polkda dots, both papers from my stash. I used ribbon, also from my stash, across the corner pieces of DP, and trimemd it with a punched edge, from a Martha Stewart punch. The image is by Dude Time Doodles and is colored with Promarkers. I used buttons off of an old shirt to embellish the opposite corners.

We want to see your projects for or about kids! We'd especially love it if the little ones in your life would play along with us, too! Doesn't that sound like fun?!

I'm using this adorable new image, Nosey Abbey, from Digi's With Attitude! Isn't she just hilarious! I cracked up when I seen this image and just had to use her! She is colored with Promarkers. I went with a pink, black and white combo this time, because it is one my favorites! And anyone who knows me, knows that I also love polka dots! My card layout follows the fun sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches. I broke out my old neglected circle punch to use for this card layout. Wow, I haven't used this thing in forever. The circle and scalloped circles are punched using punches by Paper Shapers. All Papers are scraps from my scrap pile. I've used pink pearls to embellish the scalloped circle. Let It All Hang Out
Whoo Hoo! Are you ready to Let It All Hang Out, with Craft Your Passion?! The DT had the opportunity to work with some fabulous images by our sponsor, KennyK, this week, and we're all letting it all hang out, in one way or another!
We want you all to come over and join is in this week's challenge, "Let It All Hang Out." There are so many fun ways to incorporate this theme into your creations! You could use an image, that has something hanging out. Or hang a charm on your card or project. Even something hanging over the edge of your card! (Like in my card, above). Be creative, play along with us at Craft Your Passion this week, and show us how YOU "Let It All Hang Out!" You could win some awesome digi's from KennyK!
For my card today, I used this sexy Maggie Mayhem Digi, from KennyK. She is definitly letting it all hang out! I love KennyK's sexy sassy images! They are fabulous, and so much fun to create with! I've colored this sexy little vixen with Promarkers. I'm trying to perfect the coloring of Black hair, to get a look that I really like, and I'm pretty happy with this one. I used a dark grey and a fine line 0.3 Letraset marker, for her hair. I wanted to give it a special look, since her hair is blowing in the wind. Not sure I managed to get the effect I want, but I like how it turned out. Ive used a combination of two fabulous papers... The purple and white animal print, and the purple embossed crocodile patterned paper. (It has checks on it if you enlarge the pic) I love love love these two together! Of course, I had to add some lace to this sexy sassy lady. The lace, ribbon and rhinestones are all from my stash. I added glitter and sparkle to the image with a clearstar gelly roll pen. The wings are hanging over the edge of the card just slightly. The rhinestones and irridescent wings are from Pizzazz Aplenty. I beleive my card this week definitely "Lets It All Hang Out!" The image is mounted with foam mounting tape for Dimension and Pop Up effect.

Whoo Hoo! Goal!
Welcome to another Marvelous Monday post for Shelly's Images! Wow, can you believe how fast time is flying by?! It'll be summer before we know it! I can't wait, either! I love Spring but I am so so sick of all this darn rain and chaotic weather!
Anyway, its Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images, and we have a fun new image to show off, today. The image is all about soccer and is called Goal! Isn't it just so sweet? I admit, I had to go buy one of the papers for this card, since I didn't have anything soccer related at all. (I'm not much for sports, but don't tell anyone... shhhhh!) This wonderful new image is available in Shelly's Store today only, for a discounted price!
Our guest designer today, is Linda Bowman, of Card Challenges and More. Stop by Shelly's Images to see all the creative inspiration from Linda and the DT!
My card is down in black and blue tones to match the soccer paper I purchases for the card. The spotted paper is from my stash. I've colored the image with Promarkers. It's Monday and that means challenge time at Craft Your Passion?!
We're all feeling Cutie Patootie this week, and so we want to see your Cutie Patootie too! That's right, our challenge this week is to make something cute! Now that is an easy peasy theme, don't you think?!

What are you waiting for?! Hurry over to Craft Your Passion?! and show us your Cutie Patootie creation, for your chance to win some goodies!
My card today uses this cute space alien set, by Digi's by Phooka. I've colored the images with Promarkers and used some new cutie Patootie robot background paper. I apologized for the glare on the robots. I used a glaze pen on them to make them shiny and my camera apparantly did not like it, so I cause a glare in every pic I took! Darn alien lighting! LOL My sentiment is computer generated and is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches, then mounted with foam tape for dimension and texture.

Happy Monday, everyone! And what a Marvelous Monday it is! That means its time for a new featured image at Shelly's Images!
We have this gorgeous pansies image for our featured image, today. It reminds me so much of the wonderful warm (yet rainy) weather we've been having. This is one of my favorite images from Shelly's Images! and I had so much fun creating with it, as did the entire DT!
Our guest designer this week, at Shelly's Images is the wonderfully talented Linda Bowman, from Card Challenges and More!
Check out the fabulous eye candy from Linda and my DT sisters, then have a look in Shelly's Store at all the fabulous images available! This beautiful pansies image is available, today only, for a discounted price!
My card uses the sketch at Stamping Vacation. The image is colored with promarkers and then cut out with circle die, then matted with a scalloped circle. Both papers are from my stash. I love the colors on this card! Reminds me of spring and summer both! The scalloped circle and flower centers are embellished with adhesive pearls. The sheer green ribbon is from my stash. The flower and the tiny bee are buttons that I cut the shanks off of, so they would lay flat on the card. The flowers are from several different companies and are from my stash. I bought the buttons new, specifically to go for this card.

Bling Is A Girl's Best Friend at Shelly's Images
Wow, Darn blogger had issues and wiped out my post! Grrr and I just noticed! Okay, let me start over! LOL

Hurry over to Shelly's Images and link up your blingy projects for a chance to win!
My card today is for a friend who's going through some personal issues right now, and I wanted to remind her that I am thinking of her. I am using this gorgeous rose image from Shelly's Images, colored with Promarkers. The mint green panel is embossed with the Swiss Dots folder and the darker green panels are embossed with a leafy vine patter. The ovals around the image are cut and embossed with Nestabilities by Spellbinders. I've added pink rhinestones around the oval frame, to "bling it up." Both the white and black and white polka dotted ribbons are from my stash. I purchased this fabulous butterfly back in March at the scrapbook convention. My sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You and is punches with oval punches from Stampin Up, then mounted with foam mounting tape for dimension.

This is such a fun theme, so we really hope you will come on over to Craft Your Passion and play along with us!

Come play with us at Craft Your Passion, for your chance to win a digi prize from Daisy's Doodles!
My card layout uses the sketch at The Pink Elephant. The image is by Daisy's Doodles and is colored with Promarkers. The gingham paper, flowers, and flower trim are from my stash. I used adhesive pearls to add to the flower centers. The image has had a glossy, glassy effect added, with a glaze pen. The sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches and pop dotted for dimension.

Another Zombie! Don't Look If You're Easily Creeped Out Or Offended!
I have another zombie to show you. This is the other we just finished.
She's what you call a fresh zombie, and was, uhm.. a lady of the night. This one was made by altering a barbie doll. One of her hands has been mutilated and gnawed off in a recent zombie invasion. (This was done by removing part of her arm and then molding her a new "stump" out of clay and then adding gnaw marks). My husband also crafted her new breasts out of clay, to make them larger.) She has a metal spoon sticking out of one eye. If you look closely, you can see the hole in her shirt and the trauma from one breast being chewed off. She also has holes chewed in her pants and light trauma noticeable there. Her other arm/hand was made to look like it is starting to decay, by adding discoloration.
*My apologies to anyone who is creeped out by these pieces of art. It is NOT meant to offend anyone. Just an attempt at sharing our zombie creation.*
I am entering this zombie in the following challenges:

Hey Horror Movie Fans, It's a Zombie Invasion! Creepy!
Okay, so here is something completely new to show you. Time to bring out my creepiness!
My husband is a huge fan of zombie films, zombie books and just zombies in general. We decided to alter some action figures and barbies into zombies so he can start a collection. We finished two this weekend, so I thought I would show them off.
These are a team project. He does any sculpting or molding alterations and I do the altering of the clothes and painting. Unfortunately, I cannot sew well, so we have to purchase the clothes and alter them by cutting, adding paint, weathering, burning, etc.
This is what you'd call a fresh zombie. We altered this 1:6 action figure to have the inside of its abdomen gouged out.His mouth has been altered and his eye gouged out. If you look closely, you can see his eyeball sliding down his face. He has a knife sticking out of one arm. Since he's a surgeon that fell victim to recent zombie attacks, he is dressed in scrubs and is holding the face of his first victim.
We are thinking of possibly trying to sell these on a popular auction site.
*My apologies to anyone who is creeped out by these pieces of art. It is NOT meant to offend anyone. Just an attempt at sharing our zombie creation.*
What do you think?!

My card uses the sketch at Everybody Art. I'm using Fred from the new Da Neckers image line. He cracks me up! As soon as I seen him, I knew I had to create with him! Fred is colored with Promarkers. All patterned papers are from my stash, as is the sheer blue ribbon across the card and on the tags. The buttons are recycled from old clothes I threw away. The sentiments says, "Beer Doesn't Make You Fat, It Makes You Lean.... Against Bars, Tables, Chairs and Poles!"
